    Hyundai is basically the brand that sort of kickstarted/revitalized the bumper headlights and they've basically embraced this design and it has become part of their design DNA. As a result, it just works for them. Whereas, with other brands, the bumper headlights can be hit or miss in my opinion.

    • @ChunkyBunny2
      @ChunkyBunny2 3 месяца назад +5

      Personally, I love the trend. I can’t think of one single car redesigned to have bumper headlights that looks better with the “normal” headlight placement EXCEPT for the BMW 7 series, but that car is just hideous in general.

    • @fenrirslip
      @fenrirslip 3 месяца назад +4

      @@ChunkyBunny2 Bumper headlights work better on SUVs all things considered. But it depends on the SUV really. The Ferrari Purosangue is an example of them looking good, whereas the BMW X7 is questionable.

      Many cars with split headlights would imo just look better with them placed normally. But some of Hyundai's designs are the few that I don't mind, because they just look like they're meant to be there.

      This is EXACTLY the kind of bad reporting that causes confusion.
      The "Hyundais being stolen" story is... wait for it... about 10 year old and older Hyundais.
      The ones that are easy to steal are like 2014-ish year models.
      Hyundai hasn't had a CURRENT model theft problem in a long, long time... the problem was FIXED YEARS AGO.... the thing is, people in 2023-2024 figured out how to steal things like 2014 Hyundais easily, so the problem is reported currently, but it's really about very old cars.

What I like about the facelift is the use of non-touch buttons for the air conditioning and also the placement of the LCD displays. I just ordered the 2025 Hybrid Limited, with all the bells and whistles. Compared carefully with RAV4 and CR-V. Made my choice based on value-for-money. Discounted known reliability issues. Frankly, I don't care about the exterior. Hyundai, Honda, Toyota, Mazda, etc. all look like what they are: compact SUVs. Inside, the nasty capacitive switches are gone, and there are four real knobs: that's a big plus. My only worry right now is: when will I get the car? The dealer has no idea.

    I really want to like this SUV and have considered buying it a couple of times now. I just can't get past the ridiculous way everything comes to an abrupt point in the front driver and passenger doors. It looks terrible. Its also extremely angular in nature and then there is this weird round hump over the front wheel arches. I just can't get on board with it. I do think the new front and rear ends are much improved and the same goes for the interior. Also like that they went away from the plastic in favor of body color and got rid of the shiny chrome. They just need to figure out those side profiles...for me at least.

    Why is the Hyundai logo backwards on the front of the 2025 Tucson?

  • @krane15
    @krane15 3 месяца назад +2

    The front-end is just too busy. There's just too many segments between the grill and the light. Reminds me of a spider eyes. Pick one or the other, but not both.
    On the bright side, I love those masculine hunches around the wheel wells and the hard crease at the belt-line. However, I don't like those hard angled lines on the door. That's where they departed away from the curves and went too far. At least they got the logo right and put it on the grill, not the hood.
    The wheels are all wimpy, just like those from VW. Both wheels/tire and brakes are always the clear sign not to take the vehicle too seriously.
    Finally, I can't stand those trendy pointed rear quarter windows that serve no useful purpose. They're not attractive and only reduce much needed visibility out the rear. I prefer linear lines at the greenhouse for maximum visibility and improved styling.

      Well your experience has failed you then.
      Sorry, Hyundai has a long and PREDICTABLE redesign history with the Tucson, and your prediction is completely out of touch with what Hyundai actually does.
      Hyundai redesigns the Tucson every 3 years... it costs a company a LOT of money to redesign a vehicle, and Hyundai does these redesigns in distinct 3 year cycles.
      For example...
      2013, 2014, 2015... identical Tucsons
      2016, 2017, 2018... identical Tucsons
      2019, 2020, 2021... identical Tucsons
      2022, 2023, 2024... identical Tucsons
      We were due a redesign for 2025, and this is it... hence...
      2025, 2026, 2027... identical Tucsons.
      According to your experience, you think...
      2022, 2023, 2024... identical Tucsons
      2025... a one-off, disregard
      2026, major redesign.
