They can't do auctions anymore because everyone just waits for the idol. If they did an auction it would be so much better if it was JUST food and Jeff told them that at the beginning
Or if hints were distributed randomly so you don't know when your gonna get it
I think it would be funny if the advantage was sold in the beginning of the auction as a covered item, so no one would bid on it for much. Then the players that wanted it would realize they missed their chance to get it forcing them to get food
They could just keep the items covered and Jeff could tempt them by saying "this item could be an advantage or it could be food"
I think it would be neat if they auctioned off other supplies like fishing gear, tarps, bedrolls & then they could still do garbage items like a pot with a hole. My fav idea is to throw in some straight vanity items that might make things more interesting & give them stuff to do socially as a group like a deck of cards, dice, or a board game. Lol
Or he says nothing and cuts the auction off for several seasons in a row with ZERO advantages other than food. Bwahaha, then 4 seasons later-advantage auctioned off
Since it seems to be retired, a video on the history of the Survivor Auction could be good.
Frausky I loved the auctions, sad they are gone. Also loved the trading beginning in Pearl Islands
Yeah I think it’s interesting that they got rid of the auction because it gave players a chance to regain stamina/ get an advantage in the game
Frausky That’s my favorite reward challenge in survivor history, but after Cagayan, they don’t do it anymore and it sucks

At first I was REALLY surprised Amanda didn't make the list. Then I realized how bad the heroes were and that really brought her win ratio down lol

tom westman too he is the best challenge beast overall with the highest percentage but the HVV bring his record down the heroes tribe curse a lot of heroes in different ways

I think had a Michaela stuck around longer on both her seasons and if she hadn’t lost a lot in GC she could be on this list. She was a challenge beast for sure! Pulling like 3 people with her through the water with a ring to touch the pole! That was insane!

If it wasn't for Ozzy, Parvati makes the top five for sure. As I recall, she was the challenge beast in Heroes vs. Villains, her only season without Ozzy.

Christine from South Pasific deserves a mention even if she didn’t win the most challenges upon woman, she dominated Redemption island. Until Ozzy snipped her lol

She is gravely underappreciated, especially coming from my least favorite season ever.

Stephenie is probably a lot lower due to her tribe’s performance in Palau

Stephanie is one of the strongest females, not doubt however her winning stats are really low. Probably the worst of any 3 time player.

My jaw dropped when you mentioned Jenna M and then I realized you were right about her wins. I get that math plays a role in the stats but I do think "challenge beast" is a little different than multiple wins. Stephanie Lagrossa, Parvati, Amanda and Monica Culpepper were fierce competitors even if their stats don't show it.

aw man, I was waiting for ParvManda to show up in this list. But mad props to these 5. Though put all the names in this video on a season and I would have absolutely no complaints.
I love the challenges! They’re one of my favourite parts of the show. I pause and make sure I have drinks and I’m concentrating so I don’t miss anything

Chrissy totally deserved to win her season. I’d love to watch her come back on an all stars season to kick ass and take names.
Andrea definitely deserves an honorable mention
The criteria makes it impossible for legends like Stephenie and Denise to accumulate enough points, but they are the ones on my mind when the subject is challenge beasts.
I always think of Denise because of her overall physical strength and also Tasha’s immunity run in Cagayan was impressive, but they both came from weaker tribes
Provided she wins a few more individual immunities this season Julie could be in with a shot of breaking the top 5.

@@jacknelsen5747 I don't that's why is said "could", but the fact that she only lost one tribal challenge and already has one individual immunity certainly seem to swing things in her favour.
i mean in theory julia and auroura winning a few individual immunities would put them there to
though julie is looking good at 100% lol

Am I the only one that would prefer you make the rankings subjective like you used to?
The stats are important in determining the rankings but I would rather have your personal opinion on the top 5 and have you explain why someone deserves to be where they are in your rankings rather than just purely stats based.
Yeah, I'm only doing a handful of these total.

I had a feeling Chrissy would be on this list; challenge beasts are my favorite castaways and she stands out in particular in my mind. Pleasantly surprised to see her place first. Guess I liked her for a reason
I honestly expected to see Darrah
She won some challenges in the merge, bit in the pre merge she was in Morgan.
Most of Kim's wins were against very subpar opponents .. christina, chelsea, tarzan, and oh my! kat !!!
Kim might have been a very good player and challenge competitor, but she was also very lucky to have been in a season that had not a single serious competitor. The only other contestents worth remembering from the season were Troyzan, Tarzan, Colton and Kat .. and none for good reasons.
Unlike someone like Yul for example, who dominated over the likes of Ozzy, Parvati, Penner and Candice to name a few.
Michelle has a 46 percent challenge win rate.
I love the challenges they've so much fun to watch.
More challenge related videos please, Peridiam! Best/ worst. Fairest to all/ challenges that advantage one group over others. Loving the videos!

on top of my head i know its Dom.. and also philips because of the 2 immunity idols played, if he switched vote to someone else, i know he would've won

Charles Toti half the challenges have puzzles. being good at puzzles is GREAT for Survivor. if i was going on the show, i’d rather have puzzle strength than brute strength

Think I've seen one before that was mostly taken up by redemption island returnees which I would think you can agree should be discounted (the second time they were voted out on the same season, I mean) Could be some interesting data.

Great video! Honestly, I was blindsided that Chrissy was the number 1, thought it was going to be Kim! Haha.
For the next video, I think that you should also count how did he/ahe perform in challenges in general. I mean, there are some people, like Cochran, who won literally a challenge of eating and another with a huge advantage. It's not the same as others who were always in the firsts places in all the challenges, like Stephanie who yeah has a really low winning average but she is probably one of the strongest females that have played the game

What could be an interesting video to do as like a comparison to this would be greatest single-season challenge beasts. Not necessarily people who only played once, but like Ozzy in the Cooks, Colby in the Outback. Not sure what would be the greatest, but could be cool
I hate those boring endurance challenges where they don't even do anything but stand or hold something, I'm more of a fan of crazy obstacles or puzzles. I wish that they'd bring back the auction or touchy subjects but since Worlds Apart and San Juan del Sur ruined them respectively, I doubt that they will. And I was surprised that Darrah from Pearl Islands didn't make an honorable mention despite Morgan's pathetic performance. And not even a mention to the great olympic player Crystal Cox? Shame on you peridiam.
I know she is probably low on the list, but when I think of a female challenge beast, Monica Culpepper is one of the names that immediately pop into my mind.

You could make a more fair score by dividing the number of wins with the expected number of wins. The expected value for a duel would be 0.5, and an individual challenge with five participants would be 0.2.

It’s actually interesting to see how different survivor evolved in the US and in other countries that adapted the concept for exemple mine ( France) in which the mindset of people going to play is so different that the game is just an entirely different game :-)
It's down to successful players in the early seasons of each countries version I guess. Richard hatch is credited for paving the way that survivor is played in the US (also au/NZ/s.a due to those countries following the us version).
Had the jury of respected Kelly's 'honour and integrity' and made her the winner, the game could have evolved down a very different path.

I feel like this might be difficult but you should also take into account the people we’re just beat out for long duration duels, like if two players are left standing next to each for hours after the others it says a lot about the other person who lost but still went head to head, vs players who almost automatically fall out at the beginning of a challenge
Like if you look at endurance challenges which a lot of individual are, I feel like some players would have minutes of play time, while others hours
What about Stacy Kimball from Fiji? She won the most challenges ever didn’t she? Or does this list emphasize individual challenge wins?

Parvati will always be number 1 to me. Like she is a challege beast!! I look at how many immunities they won plus how long they lasted in the ones they didnt win. Or very physical challenges that they made it far in.
does ziggy from australian survivor qualify at all. I cant remember how many individuals she won byt thought it was decent

I like to see greatest challenge beasts in survivor that never won the show to compete in 1 season. Ozzy, joe, terry and maybe spencer, amanda, andrea (even michaela and wentworth)

Lydia from "Australian Survivor: Champions vs. Contenders" should definitely be in contention, as she was one of the most dominant players in any pre-merge tribe. It took them taking her out right at the merge when she lost the endurance challenge. If they hadn't pulled the trigger then, I think she was poised to go on an incredible streak. Sure, she doesn't have the individual immunity pedigree as some of these others listed here, but in terms of pre-merge tribe dominance, she is probably the most physically dominant woman to ever play.
And ofc a challenge beast in pre-merge phase who won almost every challenge for her tribe is Michaela Bradshaw, she was incredible. Without her, her tribe would be screwed :'D

I would count edge of Extinction battle backs but I would not count Redemption Island for the reason that you said you're only facing one or two people I think the most people who've been in a Redemption Island duel was like four so you're not really a challenge Beast if you're Ozzy going up against Cochran but if you're Ozzy going up against Cochran Kim Sophie Tyson and Joe then yes that should count as a challenge win and go towards your challenge Beast record
