They can but they would have to win it a) there first time playin b) win at least 4-6 challenges (and the last one) c) find an idol d) hope the people they sit next to in the finals pissed some people off the jury. Even though Ozzy was close in South Pacific and would have had an easy win. Probably every jury vote but 2 but had to win out and couldn’t win the last challenge. But South Pacific also had the redemption island that benefited him, he could literally just be a challenge beast and not worry to much about social till the end. Also got screwed here by the “god idol” and a final 3 not final 2 for the first time. They do 1 more challenge he prob wins takes Becky he sweeps the votes. But ya after people know your a god in challenges your just a post merge boot. Alliances just take a timeout take out the challenge beast then resume lol. Also that deal Adam made with Yul about taking out Penner first and he will give him his vote even though after he said he was gunna vote Ozzy and thought Ozzy deserved it but still voted Yul..
It always surprises me that he can sprint into the water, out swim everyone, and then have enough breath to stay under water for so long to untie something. Pretty amazing if you ask me.
Ozzy just hanging out on that pole with no issues for over two hours is an underrated achievement. He coulda stayed up there all day - no idea how he was doing that.

Yeah, I don't know who I would have voted for if I would have been on the jury. I have a lot of respect for how they both played. I guess the actually jury felt the same with how close the votes were.
Colton Younger, I was watching the season recently because I got in to survivor like 5 years ago and just realized the seasons are on amazon prime for free, but yul and one of the other guys made a pact where it was a vote for a vote in the finale and the guy yul made the deal with, said that he would’ve voted for ozzy, but said true to his word to yul, meaning ozzy would have won without that pact.
I would totally vote for Ozzy. Yul got an overpowered idol which guaranteed a free path to final 3, while Ozzy actually earned it. I understand why Yul won though.

I saw a interview he was on and he said they might cast him back on in 2023 and he is willing to accept it as long as he has someone take care of his business when or if he’s gone.

Joe statistically has the higher challenge win rate but I think one factor that goes in Ozzys favor is his Margin of victory in his challenge wins. One example is the one where stay on the telephone poll like thing, ya they both won that challenge but Ozzy looked he could stay up there for another hour, Joe grinded the win.
I haven't seen Joe's seasons for some reason, but Ozzy's tribe sometimes doesn't win even though he went far and beyond. Like how many times Cirie and Amanda simply couldn't complete the puzzle on Micronesia after Ozzy gave them a huge lead? It definitely did happen in Cook Islands. It happens more often than not I'd say.
I wish Ozzy won he really is the GOAT (and possibly a dolphin) no question. Yul played really good and he would have been my favorite in pretty much any other season.

First season Ozzy was my favorite person ever on the show. I was beyond shocked that he lost. I think the trouble was Yul's social play seemed vastly smoother and better to watch as a Jury. But honestly Ozzy deserved the win. He made it the end even being such a beast which says alot about his social game. I don't think too many players like him ever make it close to the end. It was a great season to watch mostly due to him.
Maybe for season 41 or 42 they should bring back all of the second place players. I'd love to see Ozzy on the show again. He deserves to win. Another idea - have Ozzy be an advisor for everyone, teaching skills like fire building and fishing, but make sure he gets lots of screen time.
I just got through watching Cook Islands, Ozzy was like a real life superman in this season, he made every challenge worth watching. Shame he had to be on the same season as a dominating stratagist/jury manager like Yul and coulnd't win xD but then again if it wern't for yul's idol play, showing it to johnathan to earn his vote against Nate while saving the idol, which turned the majority in the aitu 4's favor for the rest of the game, none of these highlights happen because Yul would be exposed and Ozzy would've been the #1 target after that.
Great summary! I think the jury votes could have gone either way at the end of this one. Yul and Ozzy both had amazing seasons. I'm excited to see Yul back on for Winners at War!
I feel like people always forget that despite Izzy always being in first by a long shot it was Yul in second about half the time and if it wasn’t for Izzy yul might have won 2 or 3 immunity’s
Ozzy was one of those prayers i really hoped would win . he was a great player, but a huge threat and everyone loved him. in all the seasons he was in i wish he won at least one of them.

why so manny underrated Boston Rob on challenges? Maybe because he is strategic mastermind but to me Boston Rob after Ozzy is best at challenges. I mean, he in All Stars won so manny challenges against Colby, Ethan, Lex and manny others and all stars really is though season and then on RI also won plenty of challenges. He is Better then Malcolm and Jay. Only Ozzy is slighty better
ozzy last immunity wins is quite incredible bc in france this challenge is always the last and we waited 14 seasons to see a men winning against a women. I remember the first woman who won this was as athletic as cirie and went against 2 mens so for him to win this while having 3 competitors that are way smaller than him was a shock

Yul politely threatening Jonathan penner was what got the aitu 4 to the final 4 without that there is no big comeback yes yul was very lucky given how powerful his idol was but he was the rightful winner as much as i love ozzy
Why haven't I seen this season? This must be one of the best seasons of all time, right? Lots of players I recognize, plus Yul and Ozzy were both in the final??? I had no idea Ozzy almost won. Plus, the challenges this season looked AMAZING. Challenges nowadays are boring af.
Greatest season of all time. Unfortunately it would never air today because how this season played race into the selection of tribes, but it was one hell of an epic season. Sucks that you spoiled it for yourself though. Watching the Aitu 4 make the final 4 was the most spectacular thing in survivor history imo
Ozzy’ w intelligence isn’t in strategy like Yul, his intelligence is more in philosophy and the arts. The man is a critical thinker, the stuff he said abt Cao Boi really changed my perspective.
So many incredible challenges, both reward and immunity, made even better when you have a challenge beast like Ozzy in there. Challenges with multiple exciting stages, land and water based, rewarding speed, agility and endurance, others that are physical (miss those a lot) etc. Great season that also ended in probably the best clash of survivor strategy versus survivor physical ability ever down to one vote. Just awesome!
I don’t think there’s that many challenge beasts because to be a challenge beast you have to have won 4 individual immunities in one season and not that many people have done that I think
it’s crazy to think that if survivor started the final 3 one season later, ozzy likely would’ve won final immunity giving him 6 wins (the new record) and we wouldn’t easily beat becky in the final 2 making him one of the most dominant winners and one of the greatest winners of all time
After watching this video way too much, I have made some observations about Ozzy's swimming. 1. He uses his whole body. Most people swim with their arms and legs, but Ozzy flexes his torso. He turns his entire body into a paddle, much like a dolphin. 2. Push off. Whenever Ozzy dives, he always pushes off whatever he can, above and below water. He pushes off the floor, ropes, challenge pieces, anything he can boost himself off of. 3. No wasted movement. When he's underwater, Ozzy doesn't actually paddle that much. He makes a few kicks, maybe a hand swing or two, but he mainly just coasts along. When you move in they water, you don't stop moving when you stop paddling, Ozzy maximizes this. This combined with his constant push off means that he's expending much less energy and oxygen, which allows him to hold his breathe longer. 4. Power. Surface swimming Ozzy is very different than diving Ozzy. He doesn't have to hold his breathe, and surface swimming is more about speed. His kicks and arm paddles are quicker, stronger, more frequent, and makes bigger splashes. 5:45 is a good example of this.
Absolutely! I think 27:14 proves this. All the other players are standing around, waiting for the game to come to them, and Ozzy puts in the effort and goes on to win the challenge.

I think I would agree with that. Joe has the heart of a champion, but Ozzy may have a little more natural athleticism, or at least endurance.

Ozzy is in my opinion the biggest physical threat and greatest challenge competitor in survivor history.

Yul politely threatening Jonathan penner was what got the aitu 4 to the final 4 without that there is no big comeback yes yul was very lucky given how powerful his idol was but he was the rightful winner as much as i love ozzy

Why haven't I seen this season? This must be one of the best seasons of all time, right? Lots of players I recognize, plus Yul and Ozzy were both in the final??? I had no idea Ozzy almost won. Plus, the challenges this season looked AMAZING. Challenges nowadays are boring af.

Greatest season of all time. Unfortunately it would never air today because how this season played race into the selection of tribes, but it was one hell of an epic season. Sucks that you spoiled it for yourself though. Watching the Aitu 4 make the final 4 was the most spectacular thing in survivor history imo

Ozzy’ w intelligence isn’t in strategy like Yul, his intelligence is more in philosophy and the arts. The man is a critical thinker, the stuff he said abt Cao Boi really changed my perspective.
So many incredible challenges, both reward and immunity, made even better when you have a challenge beast like Ozzy in there. Challenges with multiple exciting stages, land and water based, rewarding speed, agility and endurance, others that are physical (miss those a lot) etc. Great season that also ended in probably the best clash of survivor strategy versus survivor physical ability ever down to one vote. Just awesome!

I don’t think there’s that many challenge beasts because to be a challenge beast you have to have won 4 individual immunities in one season and not that many people have done that I think
it’s crazy to think that if survivor started the final 3 one season later, ozzy likely would’ve won final immunity giving him 6 wins (the new record) and we wouldn’t easily beat becky in the final 2 making him one of the most dominant winners and one of the greatest winners of all time

Ozzy was just a fan favourite from the get go. He was a fighter, a competitor and a champion throughout the season. He had my vote.

After watching this video way too much, I have made some observations about Ozzy's swimming.
1. He uses his whole body. Most people swim with their arms and legs, but Ozzy flexes his torso. He turns his entire body into a paddle, much like a dolphin.
2. Push off. Whenever Ozzy dives, he always pushes off whatever he can, above and below water. He pushes off the floor, ropes, challenge pieces, anything he can boost himself off of.
3. No wasted movement. When he's underwater, Ozzy doesn't actually paddle that much. He makes a few kicks, maybe a hand swing or two, but he mainly just coasts along. When you move in they water, you don't stop moving when you stop paddling, Ozzy maximizes this. This combined with his constant push off means that he's expending much less energy and oxygen, which allows him to hold his breathe longer.
4. Power. Surface swimming Ozzy is very different than diving Ozzy. He doesn't have to hold his breathe, and surface swimming is more about speed. His kicks and arm paddles are quicker, stronger, more frequent, and makes bigger splashes. 5:45 is a good example of this.
