I have the 2022 Buick Aviner, best car I ever owned. I traded a 2016 GMC Sierra slt for it no comparison the Buick blows it out of the water. I could care less that it’s built in China.
Saw it for the first time last night in a parking lot and it literally stopped me in my tracks. The one I saw was blacked out and looked super cool. I will go and rest drive one soon!
In fact here in China Buick is barely considered as associated with elite or luxury since there are still inexpensive sedans like Excelle, Verano, Regal and LaCrosse being sold here at a discount with the average price below their Japanese or German competitors. In fact the only Buick that’s probably still considered to be associated with “elite” or “business” is not its suvs like Envision or Enclave in China but the GL8, the best selling MPV in China which is no longer sold elsewhere in the world.
Envision is a pretty good choice. Majority of optional features should be standard. Essence variant with panaromic sunroof and convenience and tech* whatsoever package is suitable. Still Made in China largely affects it's sale if I am right!
I think it's people's badge bias that really affects sales. Buick is a huge luxury brand in China like I said in the video. I think Buick needs to redesign the badge even if it goes against heritage
Oh hush people. There are Japanese cars built in America and nobody makes a peep about it. If you want Buicks to be built in the US, then buy them more than the Chinese. Cadillac and Buick sells like hotcakes over there cuz everyone loves em
Was issued a 2019 as a loaner while the Acura dealer touched up my paint. I really missed my Acura. Great as a family vehicle, but left me scratching my head on a few other features. Definitely doesn't have the same power and agility. Your jokes had me LOL.
@@micway71 I thought so until we went and looked at one and drove it. Really looks much better in person, not a huge fan of the 2022 minor exterior changes though.
Just wondering, I have a 2022 Buick envision avenir and the engine is 2.0 turbo not the 2.4 turbo as u mentioned in your review. Thanks for sharing this video.
It's so weird to me that "made in China" would be triggering to people. I know there's this thing going around about "lead in kids' toys" and all that COVID stuff, but that's no different than any other racial or ethnic stereotype. It's not the same as when Chrysler was literally rebadging, if I remember correctly, Mitsubishis and Chevy/GM was rebadging Suzuki Swifts as their Chevy Sprints. The company is still Buick. It's like any other company that builds a manufacturing plant in another country. I'm not saying I agree with it, but I don't think it affects the quality to any great degree. It's still a Buick. They're still making the final call on quality, not some other car brand. If it was indeed Suzuki or Mitsubishi or Kia that were building the parts or the cars themselves, then I might have concerns, but I don't thing that's what happening.
Wow I had no idea they discontinued the sedans in the US.. I really like the Verano. I mean the new version of the Verano that selling like hot cakes overseas. Such a shame it never made it to the US market
Hmmm - design wise i can see that a little. This is smaller than the MDX and the MDX is better. Now going head-to-head with the RDX - I still think the RDX is better
Buick Envision S VS Volkswagen Tiguan L I am currently working in China and I want to buy a car. Which car is better between the two? I'm thinking about it. Both models are gasoline. The price of the car is similar. The ‘Envision S’ I'm trying to buy is not the top version, so the interior is just black. The bright color is so pretty ㅠㅠ I am short of money. And fuel efficiency is not very good. ‘Tiguan’ has a good car, but Volkswagen is said to have turned the invisible parts into cheap ones to make up for the big losses it incurred last time. The interior Envision is stylish and the Tiguan feels neat and well organized. I think they are both pretty. Please give me some advice~~^_____^;;
It’s a good car but missed the mark in a few areas . Needs more power on higher trims . Needs a sun glass holder . Rear storage is inadequate. And why not have duel exhaust out the bumper. Having those dumb inserts that looks like exhaust is dumb . Also needs a real shifter . Push buttons dials etc are dumb. Please bring back traditional shifters automakers
Buicks are made in China? Whoa…. Hitting the breaks. I have a 2014 encore… was thinking of a new one. But I don’t do biz with China. Bye bye Buicks. Silly me thought it was an American car.
" its just a chevy under it all"? Lexuses are just toyotas and Audi's are just vw's.blah blah blah.Driven them all and always liked Buicks. your just a snob..Oh and i have a caddy now which is sweet.
It does look good, but when you look closer it's just another cheap GM vehicle. Buick is just like Infiniti in the U.S market - irrelevant. Other than the looks, I don't see a reason to buy it over a loaded Kia or Hyundai or Mazda.
Not to educated are you…. Do some research before you show bias based upon assumptions. I’m sure you hate a lot of people for very petty reasons. Only an idiot would say that. Stop buying stuff from China if your that set on hating China but you won’t just another hateful hypocrite…..
@@PETERLINNAH so what is your point? I'd like to think that all GM products would be produced in the US....They're not. China is Buick's largest market, I'm sure GM makes a business case for building them there. At least the Enclave is US built.

The Regal was already small so I saw no reason for the Verano to be sold over here. GM sucks at marketing

Cost of maintenance on the figuran seems low so that’ll help in the long term.
The top of line Avenir looks good, but nothing is standard and to overprice
2.0 L turbo four, not 2.4 …

Dumb inserts saves the owner a lot of money and is extremely easy to work on.
All that was mentioned is actually an advantage in my eyes lol. Except maybe the exhaust which i like it as is still. Don't generalise.
Missing turn signals on the side mirrors too. The CX-5 has 250 hp and 320 ftlbs of torque. It's just boring looking. The XT4 handles better
XT4 not CT4 lol

Buick has awful resale value. Wait 2 years and get a low miles used one for $20-25,000 loaded.
