Completely agree 100%. I can't even get past the license tests to get to the races and I've been playing them over and over for who knows how long. Sadly due to frustration with these stupid tests I no longer have any urge whatsoever to play this game because I already know it's pointless and frustrating
Honestly I dont see the issue. For me it wasn't that hard. A slight tweak of the settings and I had at least all silver in no more then 3 retries. The last of the world license got a bit harder.
It helps if you are slightly too fast and brake before the gates, then keep your speed around the apex. It helps if you brake into corners, get off the throttle and lean more in in case the turn gets tighter.

I'm glad they finally made a racing game that needs track knowledge and an understanding of motorcycles. If you have never ridden one on a track and don't understand how to set up the bike a bit it will be hard. It's good to see a game that isn't just made easy for the masses, that actually understands how hard and intense motorsport is.
The game sucks if I want to get the real feeling of riding a motorbike I’ll go out on my motorbike, if i want to play a game I’ll stick with ride 3 it’s actually fun.
1st impressions: the controls are in the cat box and the lag for a single player game is unforgivable. All the QuickTime animations for player deaths are spot on while your player marches on in a straight line regardless of whether you press the gas or the brake. NPCs just steamroll right over you while you lose position. Don't go looking for the Beauty and wind up in bed with the Beast
It looks good but seems a little iffy if I’m being honest. Motogp 20 looks so crisp and clean but is purely motogp style bikes and riders. I like being able to upgrade the stock 600’s and things that make bikes so much fun
I think Sony should buy milestone studios and collaborate it with polyphony digital and make a new ride game which is called as tourist Trophy to with a proper license test and a GT mode

To bring a soccer game into this conversation is not only irrelevant, it is dismissive of Davis' original comment that he finds Race 4 frustrating. I have seen that many people do, and the video reviewer herself confirms this. If you don't, then good for you.
Doing a 25 minute race on Utah (the only new track btw) and getting 27k credits for it is insulting. Milestone can go screw itself this is basically a mobile grindy game
Well, the A.I. difficulty is just straight up a cheating issue, where the A.I. will ALWAYS overtake you when slowing down and approaching corners...Its almost like they've been programmed to always be superior when cornering!! Its BS and frustrating, and i hope it gets fixed ASAP. Also, im playing on the Ps4, and i got this nasty bug, where the screen flickers like crazy to the point that its unplayable...am i the only one with this issue???

At least you can make it to the career races. The license tests require you to be absolutely perfect and now require me to also buy a new controller. I played Ride 3 like crazy and loved it and have been waiting for Ride 4 ever since it was announced, but now I'm honestly wishing I never bought it and could get my money back

It requires precise braking and turning with a BMW S1000 RR in the wet. Unless you are a "pro" who uses next to no driving aids and don't slide from corner to corner. :)
I've bought some overpriced skins on free to play games that bombed worse than Ride 4 but Ride 4 was the worst stinker of the bunch! The base game isn't even halfway playable

You can use it to get the pole position early on. :) @3:54 The learning curve is not too steep to be overcome. The license tests serve a purpose, to learn the tracks and learn the ropes. Ride 4 is simply not a quick fix with instant gratification. :)
Its an amzing game. Bravo Milestone and Unreal engine. I will say the one of the best racing games ever including the big car titles like Forza, Gran tourismo. The looks totally amazing, like next gen. I am on X box one x It is maybe the best looking game i have. The game, and whats waiting ahead - well you willf ind out:)
Does the A.I. also always overtake you in the corners? I mean, i can pull away 300 yards in straightaways, but then as soon as i slow down in a corner, the A.I. somehow magically overtakes me, EVERY TIME...It becomes frustratingly hard for no reason. I hope they patch it up because the A.I. difficulty stays hard to play against even if the slider is turned down all the way to zero, which is BS!!!
@@BrankoP85 only if I make a mistake. I play 87% and it's not an issue. Could be your tyre's, bike set up, lack of upgrades or even as simple as you are playing it like a car game. I have seen a lot of negative reviews on it and if you watch the video they don't understand that bikes and cars handle very different. It's a completely different art.

I'll be honest and almost didn't click on the video thinking "How can a girl review a motorcycle game" and I apologize for that, because, this is probably the best, most concise and most honest review about this game out of the few out there on RUclips. My opinion - it's a decent game but wait a few months until it gets fixed and goes on massive discounts.
I swear I'm PRO-AM (Min) in every racing sim i played and spend time and nerves but I cant handle AI difficulty 20% in this game (Very Easy)..... I dunno man, I drive the same Bike irl better than in this game

I put about 40 hours into Ride 3 and maybe 80 into MotoGP20. Loved both gamea but MotoGP is more rewarding in that the physics and AI are more challenging. How has Milestone screwed this game up? I am hoping for improved physics and AI.

@@cb6667 the bikes are well done. The tracks r meh. The dimensions are off by quite a bit on the width of the tracks. The physics are atrocious worst of all the rides yet. Virtually unplayable in first person now. Virtually unplayable time attacks. No matter how hard you try AI will attempt to knock you off your ride. Bugged sound. Bugged races . The list goes on
I played it for about 80 hours. It is quite the opposite. The license tests are challenging for a good reason. You learn the tracks and become a better rider. :)

Instead, you are frequently tasked with riding in the rain, on an unmodified bike, going through gates that force you against the racing line, on tracks that I've already ridden a hundred times (not to mention the number of times I saw them in Ride 3). It really comes across as an unmitigated attempt to extend the amount of time we spend playing the game for statistics like Steam. Sure, I've got more than 80 hours in it now too, only 60 of those were really "fun" though.

@@OverTake_gg because I have played both games (Ride4, mgp20) extensively and motogp class or even moto2 handling require more skill than most Ride 4 bikes. Most neticably it's the braking and stoppies. Even handling in motogp is more twitchy and power delivery. Fortunately Motogp games don't have no license tests to pass.

I disagree about it being flawed. You have to invest time into it. It's a masterpiece through and through. I'm speaking from experience with it.
