Mike stated in an interview that "Over Each Other" was originally going to be him singing it, but when Emily sang it, he said "That's it. That is your song".
Agreed. I think my first reaction when I heard the full album for the first time, I just said to myself this is probably one of their best songs period. In a way it's very simple but also original and very authentic. That song hit hard man.
It's beautiful. Instant favorite for me. Other songs had to grow on me. But the vocals and melody there was one of their masterpiece oh and lyrics are too. 😊
The new album is aswome, i am 55 and i still love their music, best come back ever, love linkin park, great reaction, i knew you were gonna cry, i did too😁❤️🔥🫶
This album has been on repeat for me since November 15th. Every song is a banger, my Top 3 favorite are Good Things Go, Two Faced & Stained. With IGYEIH the most Underrated Song. And I still love all the other Tracks on the album too, there are no skips on this banger album. What a comeback for LP & I cannot wait to see the Absolute Fire this next Chapter continues to bring!!
Casualty is such an amazing song to vent to & blast on full volume lol you should check out their Live Debut if it in Texas. Emily at the end, does this like out of body scream of “I know all the secrets you keep” without even taking a breath with her “I won’t be your casualty” screaming notes. Emily’s just freaking amazing in every song she does, yet somehow finds a way to sound differently…if that makes sense
@@THECAR99 They have recently played Two Faced, Casualty, Over Each Other, adding it to the Setlist that had already The Emptiness Machine & Heavy is the Crown. With their new 2025 World Tour, Mike said they'd rehearse for more of the other Singles on From Zero, whether it would be all of them in one Concert Setlist, I'm not sure but it could be on a Rotated Set List...Should be awesome though!!
Yours is the most visceral reaction to Good Things Go I've seen on RUclips. I had planned on recording my own first listen to the album but ended up not having the time, so I put it on while I was doing errands and got home just in time to hear the ending and ugly cry for several minutes in the privacy of my own home 😂 That song just cut right through my soul in every way.
Thank you for your passionate reaction, I cried with you 😭 This album, these songs and these lyrics, it hit me to the core. Like so many Linkin Park songs before, but this time it hit me differently. So much has happened in the past few years and all of it is captured in the songs. From Zero, for me, it's the medicine I so desperately needed ❤
I’m LP fan since the beginning, I bought Hybrid Theory when I was a teen, and since then Linkin Park is one of my favorites bands. Chester’s passing hit hard back then. Their come back literally got to me, I was going through a bad fase, depressed and then I got to see them live in Brazil. Man, what an experience! I hope you get your ticket to see them too, because it’s unforgettable! I just got a new tattoo to remind of the importance of that show, that night, that mix of feelings… thank you for this great, true, emotional review!
LP saved my life in my late teens and early twenties. When Chester passed, I wasn't able to listen anymore. I couldn't. The pain in losing CB broke me. I tried over the years to listen now and again but I just couldn't. After I listened to this album and loved it, I went back for the first time and relistened to HT. From Zero has helped me heal finally and given me back their music. I still can't do One More Light without losing it and I'm there with you on every one of these tracks. It's what I needed and I love it and love LP for it. RIP Chester and thank you Mike, Emily, and everyone else.
IGYEIH is the song that most embodies the signature style of Dead Sara and i love it ,Every songs of this album is so unique and powerful . Such a great album

So hard to rank this album. Putting it against nostalgia and albums that have meant so much for so long. And then the comeback brought out so many emotions. It’s top-4 for me for sure. Probably 3. Maybe 2. My list has been Hybrid Theory, Minutes to Midnight, and then Meteora for so long. I cried the first time I heard The Emptiness Machine during Emily’s first chorus. When I knew she had it. I couldn’t stop smiling after Heavy is The Crown. I cried watching the Over Each Other debut. I couldn’t stop smiling after the Two Faced debut and video. I loved the whole album and then got to Good Things Go. I cried on the first chorus and was bawling at the last. None of their albums have made me feel like this one has. It’s nostalgia and missing them and getting older and the love for the album all in one. I may not be able to properly rank it for years, if ever, but I don’t think that matters. I love all of Linkin Park and this album meant so much to me for so many reasons. I’m just happy we have it and have them back 🖤🤍

Just something that bugged me…it’s not you, it’s me. Just that “casualty” does not mean “being casual”…that’s “casualness.” Casualty means victim, like, in the news, when tragedy strikes, you call the unalived people “casualties.” “I won’t be your casualty!” I won’t be your victim. I won’t be the sacrifice for whatever you want to achieve. I’m really sorry, that just bugged me hard that I had to let it out of my system. Lol. I got issues.
It's not you, it's actually ridiculous that a man in his 30s has gone this far without knowing what casualty means. You don't even have to watch the news to know it.

@@ria_aaw3173 Mike has already denied that the song has anything to do with Chester.🫠
Oh good to know. It’s easy to believe anything in internet at the moment.
@ria_aaw3173 I'm glad to know that what I mentioned to you was said by Mike himself at a From Zero listening party he held on the Internet.
@@ria_aaw3173In an interview, he does confirm that it's about relationships in general. However, in his words "lets just keep it at that" because he loves hearing everyone's interpretations of it
Bei overflow war auch mein erster Gedanke Depeche Mode
Love the band if you go Vancouver..whes love..beutiful city
I think the live version of casualty is even better
I got 6 tickets to see em in Toronto... cant fucking wait
Just something that bugged me…it’s not you, it’s me.
Just that “casualty” does not mean “being casual”…that’s “casualness.” Casualty means victim, like, in the news, when tragedy strikes, you call the unalived people “casualties.”
“I won’t be your casualty!” I won’t be your victim. I won’t be the sacrifice for whatever you want to achieve.
I’m really sorry, that just bugged me hard that I had to let it out of my system. Lol. I got issues.
You don't have issues
It's not you, it's actually ridiculous that a man in his 30s has gone this far without knowing what casualty means. You don't even have to watch the news to know it.

How are you supposed to "rank" the songs of a brilliant album? I certainly couldn't, and I wouldn't even want to😅
