I gotta say it ...
"If it bleeds, we can kill it!"
Don't hurt my pet xenomorph :-(
I like how I got a alien v predator vibe from this. This would be the sort of thing that the predators would do.
This was a very different one to most of these stories and quite enjoyable. Because when you really think about it, everything this alien thought about us is factually accurate. We really did go from herbivore to omnivorous and from prey to apex predator and then back to herbivore with agriculture and organised animal husbandry with no real need to hunt. And we did develop higher intelligence. So we really are very dangerous. Maybe the Fermi paradox is actually caused by them being terrified of our savagery and intellect combination 😂
Well, not exactly.
@@murphymmc pretty much. What is wrong in my comment?
@@geofthompson3844 only thing I had seen wrong in your comment was that you said we went back to being herbivore, we are actually still omnivores as a whole, most of us still eat meat, especially here in Texas, where we're the BBQ capital of the world. While fruit and grain and other plants do feature heavily in most of our diets, our bodies do require nutrients that is found in meat, it's why vegans have to take supplements to be able to maintain a completely herbivorous diet, because the human body can not break down plant fibers efficiently enough to obtain those nutrients, so the nutrients have to be extracted from the plants and made into pill form to take.
I like the story, but the author did get a few things wrong: humans still do hunt for sport, but it's mostly regulated outside of poaching and our massive agriculture isn't to feed us, the majority of our crops produced is to feed the livestock we eat and for our pets, at least here in the US. Technically it'd also be impossible for the alien not to have agriculture too, if they are mass processing animals for a huge population of inefficient calorie burning obligate carnivores.
@falconcorban4128 i think it's supposed to be set in the future and so there is some stuff that's a bit more Star trek federation idealistic rather than reality.
So if the Predators are out there, does that mean the Zenomophs are out there too? If so can we make bullets out of baking soda?
LOL, Always good to have friends.
Boy talk about reverse of the nature predators here
I saw a documentary where they hired a 'persistance' hunter to film.
He indeed ran the animal until it could do no more than barely stand up.
He killed it with a spear.
Some of the pronunciations were painful, but the story was good.
Thank you for this story 🙏😊
Really enjoyable 😁
LoL. Love the ending.
LOL his blood was boiling
Yeah, we have......so beware trespassers
This makes the entire galactic community of FTL capable species nothing more than predators that never got beyond their base nature. Not probable, then again, none of these stories are probable but having them at least appear so does make them interesting. The premise behind this story is limiting.
I think it's significant that humans have a lot of War amongst themselves, and Xeno predators would also. Predators only become spacefaring if they do not destroy each other first. This is our current predicament and I suspect that other species face the same challenge. It seems to me that a group of spacefaring predator species would eventually destroy themselves. That eventuality will probably occur when humans arrive.
@@jimsavage147 possible, but these aliens have added things that make it even more unlikely they'd be able to explore space. They are obligate carnivores that have an inefficient caloric need, so they wouldn't be able to travel for extended times since they would have to not just eat more and more often, but could only eat meat. Then there's that they are confine mostly to one type of ecosystem and aren't very good at adapting to new climates, which could be a disadvantage traveling to other planets. There's also a few inaccuracies, but that aside I did like the story myself, it was interesting, could have been better, but it was okay.
Just consider, our entire evolution depends on light from our sun plus the other broad spectrum radiation it emanates. Add to that gravitational influence from the moon and the Earth's own gravitational force. You must include nutrition needs since we are omnivores so both meat and plant protein needed too. All that and more must be considered for humanity to become interstellar.
Sorry ,but our ancestors ate meat and hunted relentlessly , we were only prey when separated from the tribe .
Think they are meaning the animals we evolved from in this, but those technically weren't humans 🤔, it'd be like saying a finch is an apex predator because it's descended from dinosaurs. Humans are also prey when they play the feck around and find out game ( like jumping into gator filled swamp), sure we may hunt and kill the animal for killing a human, but that human that played the game was prey 🤣. I liked the story despite a few inaccuracies.
Mispronouncing so many words! This sucks!!!
Blame the A.I.
