Ok guys so I tried a few more hdmi input on the arcam and it did the same thing. So I took it to my livingroom and hooked it up to my pioneer elite vsx-LX504 and a Samsung Q6 tv and it’s playing 4k atmos!!! So I’m not sure what was going on with it but I will do an update video on my livingroom setup.
Just in time I have bought a tv used yes for my bedroom 50 inch compared to a 25 inch. Not a smart tv . I have a Roku in living room! Keep up the videos room looks awesome and wow it’s amazing how much you have done in a year time ! Proud of u !
you should've went with the Nvidia Shield 4k because A lot of those android boxes are very misleading say that they do it all and in all reality the y don't
Your lucky because I went through a stent where I was buying boxes like every 2 to 3 months because they just didn’t work correctly and I went through different companies and they didn’t work well once I found the Nvidia shield everything was OK and now I have a Apple TV and they both were great
You'd probably be better off with a Kaleidescape Strato system than deal with a RockTek G2 box. A lot at times, media players aren't as equipped as Kaleidescape
I have the same box. Did you ever try hooking up a USB thumb drive to play your downloaded movies? I could not get mine to work, it kept saying the thumb drive needed to be formatted. My thumb drive was already formatted to exfat, so this was pretty disappointing to me.
@@myhometheater7029 Do you still have the box or have you returned it? I'm really curious to see if it's my problem because they wrote back and said that it does work. I've tried formatting my thumb drive again just to make sure it is not corrupted. I know it isn't because it works on my computer
@@myhometheater7029 Thanks! Just make sure that the thumbdrive is bigger than 4Gb, is formatted to exFat or NTFS. I wrote to them & they claim that it works with exFat & NTFS, but I just can't get it to work. Apparently, all smart tvs.& android boxes can only accept small thumbdrives of 4Gb, formated to FAT32. Rocktek says their box accepts all thumbdrive formats. If you can get yours to work, either I got unlucky with the hardware, or it's something in the settings that was auto turned off

I have to manually turn it on in the settings every morning. The DV resets to OFF if I switch the power off in the evening (including the power plug).

It would be so much better if you did the setup with the lights off. It was hard to see with all the washout.
