For whoever reads this comment: Heed Ryan’s words. He’s younger than me and has wisdom behind his years. DO NOT allow yourself to ever get a deprivation-negative mindset. I had one for over a decade - long story. God brought me out of it one day - January 9th 2021 as if as if a switch was turned on. I had been in the pits for over 12 years. I realized in an instant that my mindset was a poverty mindset not an abundance mindset. Last month I opened a satellite office of my firm, Studio 16 Architecture in Asbury Park, NJ. Much of the work that will take care of you is sheer drudgery yet, if you approach it in the way that Ryan states, it will make a huge difference. Stay faithful, stay strong and work hard.
The wisest thing that should be on every wise individual's list is to invest in different stream of income and don't depend on the government to bring in money especially now the pandemic is hitting the economy
So at 56, I am taking the leap and about to take the PA state exam! So excited...Ryan,you have been such an inspiration and I'm loving your newest book. I get up at 5am every morning to meditate, read and get to the gym before work every single day. This morning I read a quote in your book and it goes something like... "Whatever it is you want is still yours for the taking" ...Yes! I would love a chance to shadow you for a day if that's ever a thing...let me know!
On the bad days, where your head isn't in the game. when even after forcing yourself to get the work done you're still feeling unproductive and flat. How do you deal with that? Are you hard on yourself?
Forget about what you can't control and focus on what you can control... Your thoughts and actions. No one can hear your thoughts but your actions speak louder than words. Take action!
I think the best piece of advice is to call your viewers "my beautiful little pumpkins!" 😂Totally stealing that! In all seriousness, thank you Ryan and Team Serhant. You inspire me daily!
So you are cornered. Financially. Spiritually. Physically. A ton of debt that you can’t pay back. You are totally burned out. The illnesses pop out one after another. How would you get out this hell? I’m not asking on how to succeed in life. I’m asking on how to unstuck yourself from seemingly hopeless situation?
‘The ones who succeed are the ones who speed up. The ones who speed into the curve’ was my favorite piece of advice. I’d say though, it’s almost instinctual to slow down and go into panic mode. Forcing yourself to keep going and speed into the curve.. you’re a BOSS when you can do that instinctively.
Priceless gems dropped here Sir Serhant! "I wake up 2 hours earlier than everybody else" no connections, not smarter JUST WISER simply by waking up 2 hours earlier. 👏🔥 have finally implemented this & on my way to building my empire. #CanyouBuilditlikeSerhant
I’ve been a longtime follower, who never comments. Just wanted to say you’re awesome, and thanks for sharing you! You remind me of my favorite quote! Experience is a hard teacher, you receive the test first and the lesson later.
I generally never comment but this is different. Your advice was most importantly “relatable” because you didn’t come from $ or a family name. You did what you could that as you said what you have control over. Be consistent, patient and overcome your fears. Truly Pilar’s for getting ahead and improving yourself… And while you’ve had an amazing amount of success I’d say for those who do follow your advice even if your not where you want to be yet realize that you need to appreciate and value your hard work and know when you put your head on your pillow at night. You’ve done what you could for that day which is more than most. Appreciating the journey and knowing you are doing the right things to make a difference is so important. Thanks for sharing!!
Showing up even when there's nothing but chaos. This makes me feel like a million bucks even if I'm not a millionaire. Having the courage and patience to not give up on yourself. Thanks for all your advice!
hey! im 23 years old from malaysia, and i feel boosted after heard that you started real estate at 24. you’re my idol and also my rival! im going to be a better salesperson than you do! thats for sure! but ill never forget you as my teacher. 😬✊🏻
Can you write a book or do a video series on your first 50/100 deals, describing each deal in detail? I recall you saying once that you know every single address you've sold. You mentioned that you showed up doing work everyday for 3-4 years until MDLNY. I think it would inspire a lot of agents to see in detail how you grew you business. The high level principles you teach and share in your VLOGS as a result of all your experience are all amazing, but can be hard to grasp for newer agents that still need to work on their mindset, work ethic, habits etc. or agents that have plateaued and can't envision growing their business from 15 deals to 50 deals a year. Love your content!
Ryan, I would highly appreciate it if you could make a little bit storytelling about your first few years in real estate from time to time. I bet it's very interesting!
I am a 15 year old high school student in new york and dream of being a successful real estate agent one day. I am curious on what I can do to set my self up in the best position, so once I turn 18 and get my license, I can grow my brand as soon as possible. I was considering in about a year trying to intern for big real estate names in new york who my parents know very well. What is your opinion on how teenagers can grow an in-depth understanding of real estate and how to succeed in such a competitive market at a young age.
You already on the way to success. At such a young age you have a vision what to pursue. That’s half job done. The remaining show up at Ryan’s office and beg him to take you in and learn. I would do it. But I am in Canada and 42 lol.
I’m a highly motivated Exec Chef with a 30 year amazing career. I now find myself diving into this new amazing journey of learning a completely different approach to release in my goal to continue to grow and learn through yet another experience in my life. I grew up very poor with parents that did there best but I vowed when I was young that I would never struggle like they did. I grew from a cook to working for Michael Jordan as just one of the high lights in my amazing journey. I now find myself ready to dive into a completely new place merely because I’ve seen all in my current field and now want to master another craft. My energy with my team is what brought me amazing experiences and success and I hope my non stop drive to get the work done while giving others the drive to enjoy the ride with me lend to my success as a real estate agent. I will be the next greatest real estate agent!!!
You know Ryan, just watched your amazing video that so pertains to what I'm about to do in my life. I'm 47 yrs old. Live in Clearwater Florida recently broke up with my gf. I work at Hilton Clearwater Beach Hotel for come August 5 months. Love my job but feel like i should be doing more. I'm tired of living paycheck to paycheck. Its time for me to find what makes me happy gives me stability more financial freedom. Been visiting my home town for past few days leaving Friday to go back to work and my New reality. I know in my head that in order to succeed in life one must fail and learn from their mistakes. But my fear is the polar opposite. I actually Fear and have for so long Fear Success in my life whether through work relationships or personal growth within myself. Your videos have opened my eyes and heart to so many things. I just wanted to say thank you. I don't know if real estate is my thing or not but I'm still going to buy your latest book. I admire you for everything you've done and accomplished love your RUclips videos.
So simple, so true. Fits for everybody, everywhere and for every single job ever. Tks Ryan, it has helped me here in São Paulo Brazil! Cheers, god bless you, your family and your team!
Healthy lifestyle and sobriety are key point take aways! Please spread this msg out even wider. Well done Ryan Serhant! Thank you for your authenticity in a world of toxic BS!
Thank you for this video, great advice👊. When I feel lost about the paths I need to follow in my life... How can I be sure if my choices now are going to be the right for my dreams? If you can give me some advice, it can help a lot. Thank you for your time.
Great piece of advice Ryan, I listened to all 9 minutes and 35 seconds of it LOL. I was about to cut the clip at around 2 minutes, but something told me watch till the end, and let me tell you it was worth it.
I love the message from the jazz musician, "If you take care the music, the music will take care of you". We can also apply this in the business that we have. What a great reminder! 🙌
Hi, work well, think success first, just do it, process by taking responsibility, embrace change, a sense of urgency but not in a hurry. Thank You Ryan. Love your work ethic and energy.
If there is one thing you WISH you had known in the beginning and started doing SOONER, what would that thing be? In regard to being organized and efficient, as a newbie agent.
But youre going to bed earlier than others if you wake up that early. Love the concept, just trying to understand. I used to wake up super early too but then i thought what is the point if im already sleepy by 10pm sometimes by 9
Completely get your point But as he mentions in the video and based on my experience The most focus, undisturbed time you have is in early mornings You have the most energy, most focus and probably a lot of motivation to crush the day So the more you stretch that time, the more you can achieve But at night you already had your day, probably tired, you made your decisions, this and that and mostly lean towards chilling more than working after your day is finished
Dear Ryan , I am from India. , I love the way you presented real estate , BRO you have done a great job for agent like us . I wear suits like you , have done follow up like you also closed transactions. I have your 2 books with me . Bro you should Explore Global Market . I m in commercial leasing in India but you helped me a lot . Thanks from ❤ YOU ARE BEST
Love your Healthy Heart Ryan.. I learned so much from your key steps and motivational videos. This is my first time to comment to a Real Estate Vlogger. I was moved by your 2 P's PATIENCE AND PERSISTENCE which reminds me of my sales last 2 weeks ago after 7 months of unproductive sale.. Cheers mate! Massive blessings to you..
Ryan can you speak on having the courage to reach beyond your comfort zone and taking chances on opportunities that come your way and risking everything you have ?
I bought "Sell it like Serhant" before I even knew who he is. I saw the cover of his book and I thought he looks like a successful dude. Months later I'm on RUclips and watching real estate videos and that's when I found out who he is and I haven't even read the book yet. So this dude gets into real estate without any kind of interest and has been fucking killing it in New York! I feel like I stumbled into a gold mine by seeing his book
What do you do when you been given more than 100% for a company, always on top of honesty & integrity, you put work first than your own family and life but still see that company wants to keep you where you are because they can’t afford you to move up. Will be waiting for your advise. Thank you 🇨🇦😊🙏🏼
I owned and operated my own company 10+ years ago, I was successful but not great. I want to be GREAT because my husband is being put on a heart transplant list. We have ZERO retirement. I can only see success, people say it’s do or die, there is NO DIE! This is it for me. This is all I have for the future. I have no money for nice clothes but I have the CE classes, E & O and next license fees taken care of. I may not be dressed for success but my mind screams success. I’ll be ready the second week of May when I get my license. I’m chomping at the bit
It's good to be successful but pushing yourself too hard brings consequences like... going gray and old looking while you're still young. Health is something you can control and you'd better pay close attention while you can 👍
Funny, the guy works out everyday before the office. I was Gray at 40, genetics like my Dad before me at 25. His point is giving yourself MORE time so your stress levels are down. Focus doesn’t make you older, it keeps you wiser. It’s so much better when you are that far ahead of your competition EVERY day. You build up so much time equity it allows you to branch out because you have things under control. You get so far ahead that you actually don’t have to stop to catch your breath because you never lost it! Try it.
I want to say thank you for your advice and motivation. Today I had an interview at one of the top brokerages in my city, one which doesn't often take on beginning real estate agents. During the interview, I referenced your advice to focus on taking control of your own work and drown out factors you can't control (of course I credited you). The managing broker thought that was a great way to think. The interview went so well she was speaking to me as though I already work there by the time I left.
So my question is if you get that Deal that you have worked your ass off for and that goes well and you get that deal do you celebrate or your focus changes instantly to a digger project of yours 🖐🏻✌🏼🖐🏼
Thanks for the recap! Great nuggets here. You control the work. You can't control the market, the buyers, sellers, other agents, etc... BUT You control the work👍👍 Thanks Ryan
Loved the video, the last piece of advice struck a nerve, take care of the work, and the work will take care of you. We have been going thru a bit of a dry run in our pizza place, and I've been slacking off, and showing up like before, no more of that I'll be there just like I was in the beginning, that made a lot of sense to me, and I needed that kick on the head, thank you. We, being my wife and I gotta keep going, a lot of competitors are doing better, talking shit on us, I have to concentrate on my business. Be well and all the best to everyone.
Feedback and a Question: You've been really generous about sharing some of the struggles that you had growing up. I can totally relate to "Cryin' Ryan," and I'm grateful that you've told those stories. When did you realize that you were the only one who could heal some of your deepest wounds, and what was the deepest wound that you healed? Healing seems to be a big part of your success. Thanks, and thanks for putting encouragement out into the world.

Wishing you the same buddy. God bless
Thank you very much and same to you
Doesn't matter if you flip burgers or houses, don't stop. Don't flip tv channels. Keep hustling.
Can we get more of this 2024_2025 ❤ thanks SERHANT.
I miss this relatable Ryan that inspired and motivated me to become a realtor. Luckily we have these old videos to remind us where we came from.
The wisest thing that should be on every wise individual's list is to invest in different stream of income and don't depend on the government to bring in money especially now the pandemic is hitting the economy
you are definitely right , waiting on the government is a big waste
Investments are the stepping Stones to success especially if you been guided by a professional
Investment is good but investing in the right thing is the actual key to success. how can i reach your pro?
That was exactly what I did, I trade with a professional stock expect "Tamara Diane Hagan " who i met in one of the seminars..
I have been able to make maximum profits off my trade with $40,000 and I have amassed about $190,000 in net profit In 4 weeks
That’s it. I’m going to bed early tonight and wake up 4:30 tomorrow

very inspirational - thanks Mr Serhant
Your swagger is fucking ridiculous.
I truly appreciate all you do on social media. Thank you for all the advice and inspiration. #CO #BME #THANKYOU

Love You Serhant. You're my biggest motivator in Sales
If you had a million dollars what would you use it to push your life forward?
If you stutter.. could you still be a good sales man?

Spoken like a true corporate American workaholic.
Thank you for sharing the motivation advice . All the best Ryan and team !!!
guess who just passed their California real estate exam? This guy! Thanks Ryan for the motivation and content to keep me motivated!!
I generally never comment but this is different. Your advice was most importantly “relatable” because you didn’t come from $ or a family name. God we live in a society of people who are addicted to their own stories, and obsessed w the concept of their own ‘individuality’ - it’s pathological.
Thanks Ryan Serhant!! I look up to you A LOT 💚
Thank you Mr. Serhant for this priceless information!!👍👍👍

can you come and motivate our guys?!
Can you write a book or do a video series on your first 50/100 deals, describing each deal in detail? I recall you saying once that you know every single address you've sold. Sir Serhant your really great even how you motivate poeple. Be safe. Jesse if montreal
I was jus in NYC this week..got back yesterday had a great time and you were the first person that came to mind when I arrived!!😀
Ryan, I would highly appreciate it if you could make a little bit storytelling about your first few years in real estate from time to time. I bet it's very interesting!

The most focus, undisturbed time you have is in early mornings

The managing broker thought that was a great way to think. The interview went so well she was speaking to me as though I already work there by the time I left.
So my question is if you get that Deal that you have worked your ass off for and that goes well and you get that deal do you celebrate or your focus changes instantly to a digger project of yours 🖐🏻✌🏼🖐🏼
Thanks for the recap! Great nuggets here.
You control the work.
You can't control the market, the buyers, sellers, other agents, etc... BUT
You control the work👍👍
Thanks Ryan
Loved the video, the last piece of advice struck a nerve, take care of the work, and the work will take care of you. We have been going thru a bit of a dry run in our pizza place, and I've been slacking off, and showing up like before, no more of that I'll be there just like I was in the beginning, that made a lot of sense to me, and I needed that kick on the head, thank you. We, being my wife and I gotta keep going, a lot of competitors are doing better, talking shit on us, I have to concentrate on my business. Be well and all the best to everyone.
I wish I could work under you, your energy is everything! Thank you.
Take care of your work and the work will take care of you.
That helps me a lot.
Great video Ryan... Keep showing up👏
This was amazing! You should make these more often! Thank you Ryan! ❤
How do you decide between " WHAT'S BEST FOR YOU VS 'WHAT YOU SHOULD DO ? "
Imma go to the gym... at 5am (And so the legend was born) 🤣
Thank you !🔝
