I just have to add, your courage, determination and maybe a little grace from on high helped you conquer one heck of a challenge. Your video was inspirational for all of us facing our own life difficulties. I want to remember this when my next big one comes up. Thank you Dog Foot.
Don't stop pushing and keeping these vidos coming! I've been planning for the class of 2024 Through-hike. I am planning on doing 16 miles a day on average, starting on March 25th I would end on October 4th. My notebook says I should be around mile 950 by today. I am a little concerned with your pace and being able to finish before the serious snow hits Washington. I am NOT trying to be a Debbie-Downer, I am just really cheering for you and would love to see you finish!
I'm not worried. It's more the journey and people rather then the destination. It will all play out how it's suppose to. You can plan all you want. The trail decides out here just gotta be flexible. Thanks for watching
Dog…this video was so good! No more amateur hour, this dude has stepped up his game! Loved every second! Thanks for sharing the struggle and the journey! Stay strong brother!
Congratulations on 600 miles!!! Just had a swig of cold lemonade for you. I suppose it is always hard getting going after a time in Town. It's nice to have you back. I still use the 24hr clock all these years later. I hope that knee brace works for you ongoing. Looking good DogFoot. You got this!!!
@@dogfoottrailing1770 Elizabeth River to Annapolis and back. I just started sailing! I’m hooked! I was thinking about the two parallels between hiking and sailing. They both cost about the same to get started; however, you can pick up a sailboat for about two grand and go anywhere! I may buy a boat! I think it is cheaper to buy a sail than it is to through hike. According to my friends that have through hike the AT it’s definitely cheaper. How are you holding up? Need anything?
@@Tzippi hmmm I can argue over that. Definitely can't experience the same view but both equally beautiful. I'm well just resting up a bit before hitting the sierras
Already back on the trail... Can you hear the Sierras Calling??? Finally, water and local wildlife, nice... Just a nice walk in the woods and mister rattlesnake shows up, apparently not interested in you... Hooray, water and sleep. SAFE HIKING
Wow dog foot I was worried that you were going to be in a situation like that older gentleman and his son where the dad got really dehydrated and ended up in hospital. You did not look good my friend or sound good I’m so glad that you are that you made it got your 600 in but wow that’s the reality of the trail how quickly things could go wrong.
Yes seems like i was playing catch up on the hydration game the whole time on that section, but all is well it was just a hot and harder push than I anticipated
I have to binge watch and catch up!

It's amazing even when it's kicking your ass.
Thanks Tom. I appreciate the words of support. Still in the fight.

CONGRATULATIONS 🎈🎊 ON YOUR 600 !!! Took a swig of a cold root beer in honor of you😊😊
Thanks and hope it was delicious
And another cold root beer down the hatch from me. Such a challenging day but you just keep on doing those miles!

Definitely looking forward to the sierras. Just resting up a bit and ready to tackle it.
Keep going, you got this!! You should have brought another empty bottle for the Mohave! Are you renting a bear canister for bear country??
I actually had a 7 litter capacity but didn't do more than 5. And yeah definitely renting one out. I had an offer but already gotten it taken care of.
