I really enjoy your videos. Thank you for introducing other hikers, showing your campsite and breakfasts & dinners. Very few do after a while. Sorry to hear about the knee. Take care!
Hi Manny, Hope everything is ok and you're taking a zero or two to rest. Your videos mean so much to us future PCT hikers. Thanks again for putting in the time and effort.
ohhh the knee! I can so relate as I deal with both knees problems every day. I used to tape them with KT tape...and in between, Bio Freeze. I just recently found DMSO...gel.. which deals with anti inflammation and pain. ...and, hopefully a new knee in a couple of months. But, I used to hike many miles...now, if I do 2-3 and then run hme to ice it (them)....that's a good day. Sorry to hear about the slip and possible injury. Your positive attitude is a PLUS! And great adventure. Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks Manny from Hawaii. Digging the videos. I grew up in SoCal and spent a lot of time camping in the desert as a kid. Your videos bring it right back. Amazing what the sound of crunching gravel underfoot unlocks from the memory bank. Thanks for sharing the journey.
Mannnnnyyy lol I'm glad you are enjoying your travels and rather you do so then worry about vids but don't leave us hanging either 😊 your my favorite hiker.
Holy cow I'm glad you didn't break something. I always thought that looked slippery walking atop the pipeline. Way to hike on! I think you showed more footage of this section than I've seen on any other vlog. Not the prettiest section but interesting to see it!
Another great vlog Manny! Hope the knee is doing better! Looks like you hit the aquaduct and the farm at just the right point! So many before (or maybe after you) got nailed in the heat and the wind advisory. Looks like you had perfect conditions. Many also that I follow got nailed in that storm in the sierra. Looks like you are in the sweet spot. Happy and safe travels and looking forward to the next one.
Only one more section left then you're out of the Southern California area and into the Sierras. Although with the delay between recording and posting I'm sure you're already in the Sierras. Its a good thing you were in the desert on the 11th. That storm brought some snow to the Sierras at night so glad you were too far south to get caught up in it.
Love traveling along with you. So very sorry about your knee and hoping all is well. Funny how we start worrying about all the hikers we follow if there’s been too many silent days. Good luck!!
Hi Manny, i passed you when you were sitting down, and you mentioned you had injured yourself. I suggested to check with the British paramedic coming up behind me - hope he was able to put your mind at ease. Am on/off trail if my work phone rings, but am in NorCal now and sorry I did not stop to chat properly. Didn’t realize it was you. All the best.
Hiker town might not be perfect, but it's reliable #1 and there needs to be more places like it, especially in Washington State imo. Really glad that Hiker Town is staying on while other notable places are no longer on the map.
Sorry to hear about your knee. My hubby injured his back and Dr told him no more this year... devastating. Praying you are ok, especially after delay in postings. (I know editing is a effort - so hoping that's the reason and not injury) We are hiking vicariously through you 😁👍❤️
Right now, I am above 10,000 mm 733.8 and have AT&T service!! Trying to respond to comments while breaking and snacking! No Verizon here, but that changes! So 🤷🏻♂️
Hoping your knee is ok. Hurt in knee going downhill? I did something similar. Ended up with a torn miniscus. Hoping it is just bruised.do enjoy your videos
I had the same weather conditions crossing the desert in 201, it was 70 degrees too. Manny, curious have your dreams changed since you were hiking? I didn't have one till I was a month or so into the hike
Wow it's beautiful place 🥰 I really like this place 😍🥰😍 stay connected
Purple flowers looked amazing

Hard to send out footage? Was wondering if one could send it to a friend or family member that'd be glad to edit and upload to make things easier.
I think the disk above the pole tips is called the basket, yours being the "low profile" kind versus the bigger "snow basket" kind.

That’s awesome! So far what’s been the best cell provider coverage on the trail?
