Updates: A couple of points I got wrong in the video. One the Man God also gave advice to Rudeus for where he can find Kishira-kishira- rikaaaa, by giving her food thus getting a demon eye in return. Also the "Forest" I stated where Rudeus met the Doldia Tribe is NOT the same Forest I mentioned in the video. The Forest is located before Millis thus Rudeus will not go that far...
PLEASE NOTE: I WILL be watching the opening eventually, but don't want to spoil myself with any hinted no context spoilers so I'm choosing to wait. Once I do watch the opening at the end of the cour, I plan on making a further video breaking down the opening and comparing my reactions to it!

That's arguably one of the most crucial one.
I'm bamboolzed how it never occurred to me while filming and even during the editing when I normally catch things..
I went back to watch the scene and will keep that in mind when making future videos as well as watching this cour!

You also missed the tip on the 'lost kitten' job, although it is not so important, it only served the purpose of gaining the trust of young Rudeus. In the other hand,the tip about Kishirika is VERY important to help you understand certain matters later, it should be kept in mind, as well as the 2 tips at Ranoa.
For the journey I honestly was expecting a montage like they did the journey through the demonic continent at the end of S1 part1 (which I believe is the content that covers the 'Quest of memories' game) however I am fairly optimistic that they will adapt part of the journey in the next EP, due to the title, it's my prediction xD
I had to look up what job you were referring to, but yes it's such a small an easy detail to miss. It was a scenario where I was certain I covered all the Man God points, but perhaps the biggest was me skipping over how he advised Rudeus to bring food to the alleyway... any thanks for providing those updates. If I end up making new predictions centering the Man God I'll be sure to include those.
Speaking of Quest of Memories, has there been a release date announcement? I'm thinking about purchasing for myself.

it is important to pay attention not only to the advice itself, but also to the consequences! some are evident and others are more subtle.
The game will be released on june 19, 2024 in japanese on steam, but I don't know if it will be translated.
I hope they show as much of the journey as possible

The forest on the Central Continent is a different area. It's the Dense Forest Region and it's completely undeveloped. The Great Forest is the northern half of the Millis Continent.
Should have occurred to me during editing that Rudeus encountered Dedoldia Village before he reached Millishion...
as someone said earlier, the turning point 3 itself is not so dynamic as previous ones, but every episode til the end of the season are gonna be wild, i'm excited more than i was at turning point 2
It just adds to the suspense how we had no episode today and have to wait another week before the peak continues!
The Forest you mentioned in the video is not where the Doldias live. They live in the Great Forest, which is in the Millis Continent (check map).
For some reason my brain didn't process the fact that Rudeus got captured prior to Millis...
Pretty interesting predictions regarding how Rudeus will be travelling towards Begaritt. Also, it seems that viewers are starting to be sus of Hitogami again now just like how it was when he's initially introduced, despite the numerous trustworthy advices he has given Rudeus until now. Loved how Hitogami emphasized the word "regret" previously that many people are just left asking "Wdym mean by that?".
They might skip out certain details or minor scenes here and there but for good reasons, mostly pacing. Can't wait to see how people will react to this arc.
So far everything has worked out for Rudeus following his advice. Whether it was something mundane such as taking a mission to find a lost kitten or received information on Lilia and Aisha's whereabouts. I can't recall how many times the Man God has used the word "regret", but it would be interesting to track. In any instance, this will be the first time Rudeus goes against his advice and takes a route he will "regret". Depending on the next episode I may go further down that side when it comes to my predictions.

I think other comments mentioned 2 errors you had in this video, I'll quickly go through it.
First is the Man God's advice, you missed 2 of them, one is S1 ep10 he advised Rudy to take a job of searching for a pet, the other is S1 ep12&13 where he got the eye from Kishirika. I especially advise you to rewatch both S1 ep12 & 13 as you might find some small detail worth noticing for analysis (basically the consequences of "what if Rudy ignore Man God's advise").
Second is the forest you mentioned, the Doldias live in the forest of the Millis continent. The Forest you pointed out on the map is actually "the Southern forest" that Ruijurd went through by himself after escorting Rudy and Eris back to Asura Kingdom, he said he found nothing in there.
One thing I didn't see you mention is, Rudeus isn't obligated to go alone, right? Even if Rudeus is strong, he's not going to be safe if he travels alone in an unknown land. He's not like Ruijurd who already travelled alone by hinself for 400 years, and he's a mage which are typically the kind of people who fight from a distance, so he's very vulnerable to jump scare attacks. So it's always better to find some teammates to travel with.
If any, in the previous episode Elinalise already offered to go in the cost of breaking up with Cliff. Of course that's sad for our boy Cliff so maybe Rudy will convince her to not break up with Cliff but still go to save Zenith with him. It's not like it's the first time they travelled together, and very conveniently in the previous episode Cliff just made an object that could handle Elinalise's curse. He did say it has a problem that it uses up too much mana for normal people but conveniently Rudeus is the only person who can handle that.
I'll need to rewatch those two episodes before the next Peak Fiction Sunday! I can understand how I missed the pet cat one (because it took me a while to even think back to that scene, when reminded) but with how he got his Demon Eye, I should have caught that during editing...
I didn't state this in my video, but the reason I didn't include anyone going down to the Begaritt continent with Rudeus is because he wouldn't want to put anyone in harms way for the sake of his family. I feel like at this stage of his life he's become very dependable and has the experience to make the trip down to Begaritt. It's true Elinalise did say she'd go down, but the downside would be breaking up with Cliff. Rudeus wouldn't want to see that, but Elinalise is the type of character to make her own decisions. That's good insight actually regarding the tool Cliff made. My biggest question now is how the object works lol.
@@LykesonRose Cliff didn't really go into details in the anime, he just said "Input mana and the tool cancels out the curse", just assume it magically solves the problem, but it has the downside of taking more mana than normal people can handle (Rudy isn't normal people) and it looks ugly.
If you are asking how to put the tool on for it to work, the novel described it something like the shape of a diaper, so I think you can imagine just wear it like a diaper will do.
Going through a more anime production perspective is that, Mushoku Tensei's novel goes into a lot details, and the anime studio needs to be quite picky on what to put in the adapted anime. By any case, anything included in the anime are likely stuff they think that are important enough to not cut out, so I tend to think any line that gets included somehow has a reason for it to exist. This is quite a biased way of thinking how they handle the adaptation, but it makes a lot of sense when analyzing the material.
You ever plan on reading the light novel? If so, I’d start at volume 6.
The first season did an absolutely fantastic job of adapting the first 6 volumes so I don’t think it’s necessary to start from the beginning. Volume 6 has turning point 2 and a bit more information, so I’d recommend starting there if you’re going to read it.
I see what you're saying. But personally, I would suggest those who are interested in reading the light novels to start from the beginning. If the purpose of reading them is to get all the little details that had to be cut in order to adapt it to the anime format, then I say you might as well start from the beginning. But I guess it also depends on how much you like to read, etc.
he posted that he bought light novel and he said that he at least planned reading it from volume 1 to 6, before season 2 dropped, to see how different they are. if you ask me (but no one asked), i would've preferred them to include Lilia monologue about her lore and thoughts when she came to paul.
It's something I've taken into consideration, but I'm not much of a reader tbh 😅
I might consider depending on how long season 3 will take to release. If I did I wouldn't read past the point of animated content.
@@LykesonRose If you read before the third season, you may be spoiling yourself for subplots that have not yet been adapted, even if you read up to vol 12 (where season 2 will end).
The first season made for a very enjoyable adaptation, but there were still missing details that make it worth reading from the beginning.
1. I would personally enjoy a time skip much more since I doubt anything interesting would happen during his travels and fearing it would just be filler taking away for the main story happening in begaritt I'd rather the journey be skipped
2. My predictions for the next episode would be Rudy meeting up with everyone and maybe Paul being pissed off that he left his little sisters behind
3. I trust the man god's advice for now but why didn't he just show Rudy the future I thought that's why he made him get the eye in the first place, he's definitely sus but I 100% think what he's saying is true and Rudy messed up by leaving which is going to be the first "Big" mistake he's made in this life and I'm really interested to see how he faces it. Life is full of ups and downs I guess
I can see how in your second prediction Paul would be pissed. He specifically had Norn and Aisha sent up to Ranoa because he knew Rudeus would be the best person to protect them. Though I wonder how Paul will treat Rudeus now post time skip. Rudeus has a family and a newborn on the way.
I too also wonder the consequences of Rudeus ignoring the Man-God's advice this once. Also depending on how things go will Rudeus choose to ignore future advice from him or maybe he will never disobey the man god again after this.
I guess we will be finding out soon!

4:30 You mentioned the Man-God's origin. I don't think that's something this series will ever go into details on.
The author did write a prequel to Mushoku Tensei called "Old Dragon Tales" which very detailed explained a lot of the old god figures story and origins. I don't think those are essentially spoilers to the MT story, but upon knowing that story you will have a lot more insight of what the heck is going on with all these god figures nowadays in this world, and it will very likely change your view of the whole series.
If you happen to want to know, I can explain, but I will put is as it is now as I think you want to just run with the info the current anime gave us.

I just finished the dragon tales today after finishing the books of the main story, and I think, it's kind of a spoiler for the relationship between Orsted and the mangod, and what the intentions of the mangod are.
So I wouldn't recommend to read it before TP4.

Most importantly it's still not clear if his intentions are good or bad until TP4. Maybe even a little after TP4, when the reason is explained why Orsted doesn't like the mangod.
And this stoy also answers one question about what would happen to the world when the mangod is killed. In the main story it's never clear if it's just a lie, but the dragon tale makes it obvious.

Al I'll say is the director of season 1 isn't a part of season 2 and part 2 of s2 is different yet again. He directed the episode of bagging a the beast girls
Part 2 of s2 has been noticeably better than part 1 s2.

This kinda happened in this episode and kinda before it becsuse they cut a visits to him when ginger came back. Ye found out this did happen and got cut this week, now I can say this, they cut out Zanoba attacking Ginger, to be short about it, she didn't like that Rudy talked to him casually, told Rudy off, Zanoba got mad that she was talking bad about and to Rudy so he held her up by the neck shouting at her not to insult his 'shisho'/master(master like as teacher/mentor) rudy had to talk him down as to save poor Ginger.
yeah it would've been savage seeing zanoba almost kills ginger in front of julie just for scolding rudeus lol

Peak Sunday predictions, I would say no, the turning point is the episode, the turning point 3 was that they are having trouble getting zenith, that was the turning point. Turning points affect the story,
TP 1 causes them to need to adapt and learn to fight
TP 2 caused Rudy prepares learns how Orsted stopped his magic, (makes Eris feel weak as hell, and disappears with Ghislaine to get stronger?) learned how to negate it or fight against it, and try to get stronger, magic isn't everything (hence why he does physical training). It causes us to know, there are some crazy string people in the world.
Tp 3 zenith needs help, so what would that cause to our story.
Turning points change the story.
Bro, in my opinion at least, you are not completly wroung, but the turning points main propotions in the history werent those, for example: turning point 1: the history was going to a more political theme with the eris and the whole thing with the boreas family, and after rudeus Washington plaining to go to the school of magic, but with the mana disaster, they went to the demon continent and it changed a lot of thing in the history
Turning point 2: rudeus dying made eris fears about dragging rudeus down because she was so much weaker than him, and this made she separate ways with him, what changed onde more the course of how rudeus history was about to go

Skipping the journey and having a timeskip is exactly what the manga adaptation does. But the manga does everything wrong anyways. They manage to do more shir wrong then Studio Bind, if that is even possible. Its just not worse then waht Studio Lerche does to Classroom of The Elite
Not true whatsoever. Manga has done the academy arc way better than the anime. It even included the Eris side stories. The anime skipped so much important stuff
@@Idk-ro9nt Bro the maga creates content that wasn't there, skips content that WAS there... It has such a childish and silly approach... it does everything wrong, literally butchered the series, thats why it gets no recognition and its globally accepted as a shitty adaptation by the fans. The anime is also not hot shit either, specially season 2, but at least they try to maintain the overall vibe/feeling of the series. They fail most times but at least its not due toa decision made by the producers, its simply due to incompetence. Skipping all Eris content is blasphemy but im 99% sure they goanna make an OVA later on, which is better then nothing but still not a great decision
Given the next episode title "Journey in the desert" I do believe they will adapt some of the journey there, shouldn't be totally cut like in the manga.
But I won't expect that take more than one episode honestly.
