Oh man how good would this look next to the Parisian restaurant
That's where my mind went as well!
exactly the same feeling
Yeah, totally doing that. Very nice combo
Where do you think I’m putting mine
@@brickheadz2865 Next to the Parisian Restaurant ?
It utilises the baseplate really well, not loads of “wasted” space used as an alley out back
I would have said that it’s largest flaw was the usage of the baseplate. Most corner buildings won’t have that alleyway as it is covered up anyway. It would have been much better if they used that space for more of the art gallery or even bathrooms for the second floor rooms or a kitchen for the hotel.
@@teakr comparing to the other corner Modulars, I agree with you completely. Comparing to Modulars in general, it does a good job of not wasting too much 😂
The red-blue-white-yellow-black art is inspired by the Dutch painter Piet Mondriaan. I think the painting in front of the window is inspired by Pablo Picasso.
Yeah. 100%
I love the modular buildings that have the round corner on one of the corners. It makes it so satisfying placing one floor on top of another one, and the shape fits perfectly
OK a couple of things i don't like there's 4 keys but only 3 rooms and only one of the rooms has a bathroom. I wouldnt have minded if the 1 bathroom was accessible to all the guests. This would have been better if it was the size of assembly Square with a bigger art gallery more rooms and a kitchen and cafe for the hotel.
yeah you are right but these colours are just so fking juicy
I am not staying in a room without a bath but making my reservation for the Penthouse. However, this is a beauty! I thought I was the only one counting bathrooms. Lol
It’s not a big enough building for a hotel unfortunately. Footprint is just too small. It’s too bad cause it’s colours and style are nice
This will be the first modular that I get two copies and somehow make this larger. I think it needs a couple more floors. Great set.
Agreed!
I’ve been waiting for this…so excited to see it! I love the angles and the color choices …can’t wait to get it thank you😀
I'm not so sure, but the names on the visitor's list seem to be the seven designers that worked on the modular sets for the past 15 years. Another nice touch and a nice little easter egg I guess.
Is it just me or don't you think Bricksie´s favourite minifig look a lot like Mrs Bricksie?
That mini fig certainly does look like Mrs Bricksie! I thought so immediately!
Me too!
Same thought here
Oh good it’s not just me 😃👍
I think the snakes on the roof might be a call back to the police station with the minecraft wolf heads
It would be perfect if the plenty empty space at the lobby use for hotel’s restaurant and at the 2nd floor at least gift 1 toilet (at least for share). But this modular set is so fantastic.
This is an amazing set. Thanks for showing it and it's easter eggs. As always love your videos .
Initial thoughts: it’s definitely the most detailed set, so that’s great!
But it seems quite small and short for $200. Especially when looking at the box art with it propped next to the Police Station.
Yes agree it’s pretty small with its shape unfortunately
@@ryangann799 Even though it's a bit smaller than I expected, I'll get this day one (it's been a fun tradition waiting in line at the local LEGO store on Jan. 1) and I'm sure the build is incredibly fun. Thankfully, the wife and I have saved some good VIP points to pay for some of that $200.
totally agree, its so detailed but it seems quite short and skinny tbh. Maybe one day I will buy it and put it next to the Parisian restaurant tho.
@@marcuschristensen1883 oh thats great! I only buy modular buildings on my birthday and have been planning to buy the diner, tho my local shop sells it for 400$ so thats why I didnt buy it last year.
It's the same size as Book Shop, Parisian Resturant, Brick Bank, and maybe more that I don't know
Wow looks great. Need a gringotts like this now.
This set arrived for me yesterday! Looking forward to building this and placing it in my slowly small but growing city layout
Yeah... A bit disappointed with this, especially as it's the 15th anniversary set. Would have looked so much better with another level and an elevator. 1 bathroom too. Compare this to the detail of Parisian restaurant or assembly square I'd say they're going backwards. Difficult to display alongside the others too. As you can tell, I'm a little disappointed.
I think it look incredible as a display piece.
i thought the same but when i bought it idk it really started to grow on me. but yeah these things would have been really nice
Great review Bricksie. I've been looking forward to this.
Looks an amazing set. I’ll be looking to get one of these! Great review
Hello Jordan! Congrats you, i am Zoltán from Hungary, Europe, i waching your vids about ca. 4 years ago, and the last 3 uploads from you show how professional you become! I love your vids, you are my fave lego youtuber, love the way how you and Jose enjoying lego and life together, enjoying ewerything and every moment in life, you and Jose always positive and cute together, also love your pets, keep up the positive work, greetings and szervusz!
6:36 The Owner of the Art Gallery- It’s Mrs. Bricksie!
Great video as always!!! Thank you!!!
What an amazing set! I absolutely can't wait to add it to my city.
Great review. So glad you could get this before your trip...and hope that is going well :)
I like that they’ve gone back to a turn-of-the-century formula for this design - it will fit so well with the Fire Brigade. I can just imagine it being in Miami during the early 1900’s.
I was picking up more of a So-Cal vibe from this one
@@brandongaines1731 I was thinking this was from Havana lol
I think this fits best with the assembly square.
I think that a modular hotel would have worked better not as a corner build to allow more internal space (the angled build makes it even more cramped), the lobby is great but the bedrooms on the middle level are tiny. Also the height seems a bit odd (especially on the box art) as it is shorter than the last two modulars, I'd like a little more height. Also I wish they'd put the roof railing all the way around... all that said I'll still be buying it!
I was having doubts, but your enthusiasm has sold it to me.
Nice lego set. It has so much detail. I like all the easter eggs.
Well done, what a great lego set release for the start of 2022 :)
Really like the 'crooked' building style of the hotel, too bad everything looks so cramped up inside, especially for a hotel (only 2 rooms). Wouldn't have had anything against a 48x32 plan!
I thought the Bookshop was a bit cramped too. I would have liked the two halves of that building to be two sets not one
*3 rooms. But yeah, they had to put boutique there😝. Then again I've been to a few hotels like that, and some can be pretty cramped. Especially if it's not supposed to be some sort of five-star ultra mega hotel. Think of it as cozy😝
No wonder she's your favorite minifig, she looks like Mrs. Bricksie!!
Ditto. As soon as we build it. It’s going right next to the Parisian restaurant!
That's looks INSANLY AWESOME! Nice build looks great. It's going to look really good next to Venician Houses set
I'm defiantly getting this set love the details
Looking forward for the building placing video!
Can you do a review video showing us what neighbor buildings are best for this new modular?
Good job!.. i really liked how you did your video ... very well paced . THank you . and hope you know how much People Appreciate what you did 🙂
- I am shocked HOW BIG the box is... hehe was that the Actual Box?? seems crazy big to me!
hehe.. would love to know if thats the actual box :-)
I wish some of there were more affordable for the Every Day individuals .. i know they are BEAUTIFUL and so much JOy in building... and whenever i think of LEGO SETS l like i kind of Giggle to mysef as i think of the old saying " I love get my hands on those " .. as hands/ build.... well you get it :)
I been looking around for places where one could buy them 2nd or 3rd hand used... so i could afforde to get more 🙂
thank you again !
Truly .. M.
Can't wait to get this set, I think I'm going to build it as a mirrored version of itself so the art gallery is next to the diners stairs
Your favorite character looks like Mrs Bricksie!
This is an amazing set, I can’t wait to get it!
I don’t buy modular buildings but this one looks great. Very unique shape and design
Nice set, I really like it. Next year a hospital on 32x48 baseplate to "even out" assemble square.
Great review 👏
this set looks absolutli amazing
Where can I find a part list per bag? I think I’ll get the bags for the second floor and modify the smaller hotel room into a hotel bathroom for all guests.
Really hope there’s a modular skyscraper like building in the future but in a way that keeps the older theme
Can we praise Lego for finally giving us a modular that might go well when placed to the right of the Parisian Restaurant?
I’ll praise them when they release Green Grocer, Fire Brigade and Town Hall
@@lucasm4299 Those were already released?
Hey Bricksie... could a person build that on two plates with the angle of the hotel facing the street? It would really accentuate the amazing shape of the building and that way it wouldn't need to sit on a corner? (Like how it looks on the front on the box.) Just a thought...
I don't know if I'm right or wrong, but is the movie in the TV the same as in the Palace cinema set?
This set is awesome, can’t wait to get it on the 1st !
The scene on the TV in the top room looks like it could be another scene from the b&w movie starring Minnie Figure from the movie theater set!
It’s beautiful and now I’m considering on buying it
Owner of the fine art gallery minifig reminds me so much of Mrs. Bricksie lol
But will you have a moc on how to use 2 sets? It needs more rooms but a good idea. I really would love a school in the next couple of years.
finally the new modular building is revealed
Really a beautiful building 😻. Can't wait to see you struggle finding a place for it in your city haha.
I wonder if the Musical Hall reference is a hint towards next year modular 🤔
Also, that nice minifig with the glasses reminds me of Mrs Bricksie! Is it just me?
I love the snakes on the roof 😁
Kinda upset I won’t be getting this for Christmas because I want this out of all the other Modular’s tbh. I’m getting the bookstore and hopefully either the police station or daily bugle hopefully pray for me. I wish I could win some big lego sets in a raffle or something. But. Bricksie how do you get the sets early what do I have to do to get a set to preview?
I know what I'll be getting as the first set of next year!
Love the details in this one! stunning interior and love the ´Piet mondriaan´ painting! :D
More full size Lego paintings from grandmasters would be amazing!
Very nice Jordan, I must ask do you plan on ever adding the Cafe Corner, Green Grocer or Market Street to your city? Surely you could afford a used one for some of the most iconic sets? Now there's 17 Modulars total
He actually sold the green grocer and Café corner 1 or 2 years ago.
@@brickfalcon4919 oh dang really? Is it on this channel? Did he say why?
I think the cube in the art gallery is a reference/Easter egg to the one that was on the older creator expert set boxes
It looks great keep on build😁❤️💚💙🧡
Awesome looking building.
I’m totally getting this
6:25 I think your barista’s left leg has a slight misprint as the brown colour does not fully match the middle and right leg and the barista’s blue ende of legs are not equal
I actually like the design. Didn't originally like the rumor when it came out. May eventually get this set, but not a first of a the year purchase
Pretty sure it would be hard four the Minifigs to get that luggage trolley up those stairs
Looks nice! Not a fan of the handcuff balcony, but everything else is great
The back of the box shows the Boutique Hotel in between the Police Station (10278) and the Bookshop (10270).
Love love this set
Awesome set !
I want it. But I dont get the 200 euro's / 200 usd. Yes it has a lot if parts, but I dont see it back in the build. Whatbis you experience with that?
Looks epic
Wow awesome
It's a shame the snake fence thing on the roof doesn't go around the side of the building too, hopefully it won't look too odd next to other buildings
Other than that, it's an amazing build. Can't wait to pick it up eventually
What are the base plates dimensions?
Yep, I think that’s the best looking one!
So great!!!!!
Which is better this or the daily bugle
As Just a seperate building (so without a city), should I buy this one of the blacksmith?
Depends on what you're going for. Blacksmith will work nice in a sort of nature diorama. This one does have one wall that isn't exactly photogenic and a sidewalk. Also depends on what interests you more? Modern or medival? They're both pretty great sets. Personally blacksmith isn't for me, since i have a city built with a bunch of modulars. If you're thinking about getting into modulars let me say, one works ok, but when you get two or 3 is where the magic starts to happen. All the consistent details and stuff pays off and you're left with a nice standalone diorama or a great way to build up a Lego City 🙃
Whats the GWP to this set ?
hello little question for the maintenance of your legos, how do you do with the dust?
Check out how I clean my Lego:
ruclips.net/video/fPmAVwzec10/видео.html
How did you get this soo early? I have to wait until Jan 1
The 'cube art' is the LEGO Creator Expert logo.
The clear brick pieces that make up that cube thing is the creator expert logo
4:20 I always thought their main use was for ATVs (also yes funny number)
@Bricksie you don't seem as excited as you usually do. Sounds like you are a bit disappointed in this set
The mini-figure at 6:33 is a nod to the 2020 Bookshop because the mini-figures both share the same face and hair, long frizzy black hair that in this set is in a bun, while the Bookshop version is let loose!
that cube in the art gallery is actually the creator expert logo
Very good video
Great build. The corner structure reminds me of the entrance to Gran Via in Madrid, specifically the Metropolis building.
Beautiful building however I was hoping for a larger art gallery floor to add to my lego city. 😭
This is the best Lego modular building set yet.
This set is amazing!!!!!!
somehow videos about the placement of new lego sets into your lego city intrigues me more than these type of reviews :). The tighteness of the room causes difficulty for you but I think the placement of them takes much more attention than classical revievs. We also wait the placement video :)
I think you needed to put it alongside other modulars for this review to be more helpful - unless you are thinking of doing a different video for that. I feel like it's a very particular fit, its not a normal corner building. I don't see it being that much versatile.
This set is really small but costs a lot more than other modulars! Such tiny rooms and tiny building (very short) . The new lego modular building style since the last year's police station looks more like a MOC style from alternative brands.
How come you got yours before Jan 1 while everyone has to wait?
@Bricksie are they expecting a 15th anniversary gift with purchase for this set?
I thought this was a moc set I never expected lego to make a building with that shape
This shape? Didn't expect it. But Lego has started to quite literally cut corners on their corner modulars in sets like corner garage. I guess we expect more interior than what grand emporium gave us😝
@@aljazslemc9569 i wish the art gallery was a bit bigger its so tiny and cramped
@@RedCrimsonRed fair enough 😅
