Pinto's big brother.😊
The black woman in this commercial is Vernee Watson.
Yes, it was. later in 1970s she'd star in ABC-TV Network sitcom series "Carter Cntry." And speaking, ABC, as l've mentioned on countless occasions, l presume that "alphabet" network passed up airing 1976 College Football season's XVIIIth Astro-Bluebonnet Bowl classic bet. Univ., Neb./Tex. Tech on New Yr.'s Eve night, 1976 (December 31, 1976-Fri.) because their affiliates in Eastern time zone were concerned that w/live sporting event starting at 8:00 PM (E.T.) on last day, historic Bi-Centennial yr., 1976 such as XVIIIth Astro-Bluebonnet Bowl cl'ssc may have had impact on 11:00 PM local news r'prts' coverage, New Yr.'s Eve activities/in worst possible scenario, str'tchd into annual "New Yr.'s R'ckn' Eve" m'scl 🎼 sp'cl st'rtng at 11:30 PM (E.T.)
If you had a 302 Grabber back in high school you were cool. The Grabber with manual transmissions moved.
I remember when the Maverick was introduced in April, 1969. The local dealership had an Anti Establish Mint one down in their basement. I was 12 and the salesman let me go down and look at it. This was probably 2 weeks before it’s April 17th introduction.
It's interesting to think people will be watching 2020's commercials in the 2070's.
Mind blown. Will people be?
My dad had a 69-1/2 Maverick, when first came out. It was Anti-Establish mint green, 170 CID 6 CYL, W/3 on the tree MT.
It’s the robot character on Felix the Cat cartoon!
I always liked the body style of the Mavericks and Comets.
I'll take a Maverick Grabber with the sick 302 any day of the week. Lots of potential there. Shunned back then, but would love to have one now.
"Grabber" was sp'rtr v'rnt, M'vrck 2-Dr. Htp. back when. It was like "GT" variant, Ch'vrlt's lst sub-c'mpct car , Ill-f'td Vega
Well-made ad. The music at the end is good.
I miss my '72 with straight 200ci. So many have been gutted and turned into street racers that you can't find a stock one in original condition for under $10k these days.
It's a step up from a Pinto.
Not quite…
The first guy looks like a Pauly Shore character.
