Ive already heard the whole album and im NOT joking when I say, that as awesome as Welcome to The Circus is, Wait until you hear the song Gold Gutter from Afterlife. That song is BRUTALLY HEAVY. 3x to 4x heavier than Welcome to the Circus.

I think they are a fantastic rock band. Not only does the music pack a punch, but Ivan moodys voice has so much weight and emotion to it. The lyrics always have thought put into them and mean something.

Love this song!!! My husband had all 6 of their first albums when we got married years ago... and I wasn't a fan. Idk why I wasn't initially, BUT, over the years I started to listen and became a huge fan! I absolutely freaking love this song! It hits hard so insanely eloquently!!!

I agree with you in terms of a guitar solo. A guitar solo after the second chorus always has something heroic and alleviating to it. It's supposed to resolve the concerns and/or problems that the song talked about, like a knight in shining armor. This isn't what FFDP were going for. Their message was that you can't escape the circus, that no superhero is gonna come to save the day. This is reality, where dead people tell no tales. So naturally, they went for the breakdown instead, giving off the feeling of darkness and hopelessness throughout the song.
Just my 2 cents, tho

Absolutely AMAZING reaction. Love your shirt. I'm a MASSIVE 5FDP fan and I LOVE this song. one of my favs of the new Afterlife album. My other new fav is the song Gold Gutter from Afterlife. If you thought Circus was heavy, wait until you hear Gold Gutter. THATS a face melter. lol. Anyways I had the same reaction you did brother.
I love Gold Gutter. They brought back some serious old school vibes with that one. Roll Dem Bones is awesome too. That Andy James solo is epic. I can't wait until this album drops.
@@Missunderstood214 My new ultimate fav song by them is now Gold Gutter and my second fav is This Is War from F8. Roll Dem Bones is also another fav. Andi james totally KILLED it with the heavy guitar work and the solos. Jason Hook could never compete with him. Sure the album is VERY different this time around but from I listened to it's quite enjoyed it. judgement Day was extremely different but I liked it. It's an album some people will need to listen to a few times to really get the new vibes from it. I can't wait until it officially drops also.
I didn't hear Judgement Day yet. I'm trying to wait until the album drops to listen to the rest of the songs, but, so far, I'm loving this new direction. I love how it brings back the feel of The Way of the Fist, yet sounds completely different at the same time. They found the perfect balance between fresh and familiar and Andy's amazing guitar work is just icing on the cake.
@@Missunderstood214 I couldn't agree with you more. It's a new direction and I'm liking it so far. It doesn't remind me of the way of the first. But it's still a nice thing to know they're experimenting with their sound. I dig it. Andi James is absolutely stellar on the new album.
