I'm loving this. As a G.I. Brat raised ( with lots of G.I. Joes) I actually was stationed in the Army Chaplain Assistant School barracks in '79 and yeah like Wikipedia says about THE PIT ( G.I Joe) it was a secret to all of us.
heheh. Thanx Scuba Pete. This is awesome. It’s massive. I’m glad to have one finally. I have to redo the toy room to fit it in and it means I’ll have a whole GI Joe area in the room now.
I had the base when I was a kid. I kept my bio cards of my figures in the storage part of the garage. They fit perfectly in that spot you were wondering about. Nice collection.
I used to have one when I was a kid got it for Christmas and had it set up in my upstairs bedroom and had all my figures set up. One time my babysitter accidentally kicked it and knocked it over man I was ticked. I also remember the parachute you could send for in the mail and a surf sail manta sail you could order by mail. Pretty cool brings back k some memories.
I just got one of these. I never had one as a kid and had absolutely no idea just how much space they take up. That being said, I will NEVER give it up. It's so awesome. I have to say me 82-84 Joes look amazing in it. Thanks for sharing your excitement.
Super cool brother... After watching this, I'm gonna scout around for one... Can u tell me if the A.W.E striker fit on the vehicle platform and can the movie ghost hawk 2 or the dragon hawk fit on the heli pad?
the Dragonhawk has a wide stance, so I’m not sure. I don’t own one so I can’t see if that fits. hmmm any vehicle will fit where the VAMP sits, but the VAMP just sits perfectly cause the wheels line up right. The AWE Striker just fits fine. It’s easy to line up with at least two of the wheel spots. Should work fine.
You are missing one part; Private Stoner... the Chaplain School drop out who hung out with the guys in the Army Band. He was Native American Spirit Man. You knew it was never going to work out with him and the US Army church Kimosabe. So...one day...he was led to the PIT.... and still does his ceremony's.
By the way at G.I. Joes secret HDQ in Fort Wadsworth there was, IS also a historic FORT WEED on base where we did recreational intoxicant experiments for Army morale. Enjoy
Yes. heheh. Paul Baker and I build a GI Joe base and the Terrordrome out of cardboard. We were just talking about that also in messages back n forth remembering those days. He remembers that USS Flagg.
Sooo Wicked Awesome!!! Congratulations wow!
Thanx. Yeah this is fantastic! Love this base.

I got one for Christmas. And I left it in the snow to see if it could handle the cold weather. Lol. I wish I still have it.

Awesome. Didn't you build one out of cardboard when we were kids?

@@Superawesomegeekshow Some of the best things we played with we built out of cardboard.
Just picked this up. It came in the mail on Thursday and what a great addition. My 1982-1984 figures have a home. 😎😎😎
