I had never noticed this guitar until today , a very nice axe . And the main thing is it's a different style which I really like ! Excellent video, thanks
Listen. I thought your picking was fine before, but you really stepped your game up, dude. That Riff Hard program turned your right hand into a weapon! Cheers!
I have this exact guitar. It was offered in a trade and at first, I thought no way. Then I researched the guitar and the specs and was quite impressed. Ended up getting it and I have to say, very glad I gave it a chance. Love the guitar and everything about it.
Jeremy Talley from The Bled used to play Tempests. I had a Tempest Custom in "black cherry" red (with a flame maple top) around '05-'06. It looked rad. I sold mine a few years later when I could afford Gibsons and Jacksons, but I kind of regret it. I've always loved the body shape, and I dig the fret markers on the new Blackjack model. Might be time to own one again!
So bummed that I couldn’t catch you all on the Below tour, the show was amazing and y’all would have only made it better. All the best for the rest of the tour!
Got the burst Tempest at NAMM when they first came out. Not as thick or heavy as my 82 Les Paul Standard, but easier to play. Love the neck. Never felt the need to swap out the Duncan Designed JB bridge pickup. Very versatile, especially with the coil split, which wasn't mentioned in the video. Probably played more gigs and logged more hours with that Tempest than any other guitar. I like that it looks unique, but still tasteful.
Back again listening to the blackjack. something about this thing i really like. the shape of it is so strange. its unique and yhe clean sound was beautiful
I ordered a tempest " 20 stripes " ltd. yesterday, without knowing much about it. But it's a schecter ! 250 euro ! New ! It seems to be a limited edition, oder available here in good old europe. 400 pieces only. I"m pretty sure, that this was no bad deal. The guitar is black, like the one in the video, but, as the name suggests, there are 20 yellow stripes on it. If I will find the time, I will write a short review, after having played her the first time.
I have seen demos of the tempest models. They demo them sitting down but not strapped on and standing. But I do agree they are comfortable when played sitting down.
I had the Schecter CSH-1 and I still have the Schecter C1 XXX. These days my guitar line up mainly consist of Gibson Les Pauls, but the Schecter XXX does still hold a place in my recording rotation. For some reason, I can play 30% faster on the Schecter than I can on the LP or Firebird. I always wanted a Tempest back in the day when I was starting out and having a Gibson still seemed like a dream. Kinda feeling some nostalgia, and may end up picking up a Tempest in the near future. The one thing I can tell you about Schecter, no matter how nice they are, they don't re-sale for crap.
Did that have a satin neck? It kinda looked like it when you flipped it, but didn't mention it. I think a satin neck makes a world of difference when moving up and down on it.
I’ve had my schecter tempest Diamond custom in black with gold hardware for 15 years now, I love it. Going to throw fishman’s in it to spice it up lol.
The singer from my old band played a model like this but it was a dark red burst. I hated it. It sounded like garbage unless it had extreme amounts of gain on it.
Looks very nice immediately. If I needed a new guitar or was in the market I would buy it off the looks alone. I know Schecter's are solid so everything else is automatic.
I have the OG Tempest and Fluff isn’t kidding…it is a massive chunk of mahogany….the entire guitar is built like a tank. So many guitars today in the $899 to $1200 price range aren’t worth the money…but this one sure as hell is.
someone walked into my studio with that setup i wouldn't even let them plug their guitar in. take your metal spaghetti somewhere else. i'm not autotuning your guitar.
@@PeanutButterPavement literally have symbols for “sober” tattooed on my body, but go off. It’s physics dingus. Intonation… oof. There’s a nightmare. Trust me bozo, I used to be captain super light strings too. But the end result speaks for itself. Drop C on a Gibson scale, 12-56 minimum. Duuuude, i ALSO had that white tempest custom in 05, which i stupidly sold because ... broke musician.... Damn do i miss that guitar, i literally look for another one every month online XD
I love the idea of blackjacks, but why do they have to look like beginner/mid range guitars? Something about it just doesn't scream "1300 bucks" to me, look wise. Specs are there though
I had an old Tempest. The pawn shop had no idea what they had, and I took full advantage of that fact. No. I am not sorry. I traded a $200 bass for it, and then sold it on Craigslist for $600. I made a $400 profit. Anyway, I never got along with that old Tempest. It is the Gibson scale length, and everything about it seemed like it wished it was a Les Paul. The worse thing was how the strings past the bridge would ring. It rang even worse than any Les Paul I have ever played. Playing it unplugged, or playing it plugged in, the ring was every bit as loud as playing the guitar itself. With distortion, it was outright unplayable. In general, the old Tempest just did not work for me.
I purchased a Tempest Custom Sunburst last week and returned it. The pickups were not hot enough for me. The setup was less then stellar with the strings touching the saddle from the bridge. My $400 dollar Epiphone Worn LP sounded better. So did my Epip Custom (changed out the bridge Pickup with Iron Gear Hot Slaggs.) and Wolf LP. The Tempest is a beautiful, well built but IMO it's a $599 not a $1099 guitar.
schecter has always been a huge turnoff for me. but somehow they always have great frets. can't say that about most companies these days. the new inlay is nice, and the tone was good with 2k worth of mesa boogie involved. i'd have to hear one in person to know if it sounded choked and boring like they so often do
Love to see the Tempest getting some love, super underrated guitar.
It's Jerry Hortons main guitar choice: from Papa Roach isn't it?
@@cynicald380Is that supposed to make it appealing?
Love that Foo Fighters/Colour & Shape-esque track you used to demo the guitar in mix. Great stuff!
I love schecter guitars, good quality guitars that won't kill my bank account.

As Texas based viewers, we are loving the Buckee’s T-shirt. Also the review was very informative and entertaining.
Fellow Texan here..I can agree to both parts of this statement. I have 2 schecter guitars and I love them.
Feck Texas and how you all think that somehow makes you special.😂

Killer Riffs Fluff, sounded great!!!!!!!!!!
the lighting and cam looks spicy as hell
Holy sheeeeet the mix on that demo track was huge!
I've wanted one of these since 03! A Solo 6 and A Tempest all day Long!
One of the best mixes I've heard on the channel, awesome!
I got the white Tempest back in 2004 straight from the powers that be at Schecter!!! Love that guitar.
I know you have a soft spot for Rectos so it's nice to see a Mesa Mark series amp getting some love.
I dig the tone!
Specs are fkn beast. Had me at Lundgrens and SS Frets but all the other stuff really nails the coffin shut. I’ll be watching for these.

Lol. Got rid of my Gibson for a tempest custom diamond series. Never looked back.

Wow. This one sounds awesome in the mix, and the specs are killer! Think I might cop one and keep it in C standard 🤘🏻
Good to see them using the 25.5" scale again

I have 3 and want a 4th and 5th!!!
Schechter had some really good guitar's. Love them . Plus they are affordable.
Not a 2021, but agreed Fluff. I play my 2000s white Tempest often. The blackjack looks nice!
Mate this would be a track to use for you own band. Epic
Bonus points for compound radius!
Fluff! With the bucees shirt!

i always loved the Tempest shape!
LOVE the look of this thing
Named after Mike Tempesta fantastic guitar.
That is SICK! 👊🏻
I got me a white tempest and it’s my favorite body shape and the meanest tone I ever got
That's an awesome guitar! The top tier Schecter guitars like the Hellraiser series are really up to par with the 1000 Deluxe series by LTD.
First time visiting your site. Interesting guitar.
Seriously clean clean tone. I peed a little

Hesitating between the rusty grey C-1 Apocalypse and the C-1 Blackjack. Any thoughts?
Always surprised you did not have a schecter endorsement because you spent so much of your early time on one.
...god I want to try a compound radius guitar, hard to come by in a shop for a lefty :,(
