Hi Rebecca! This looks like an all around decent concealer? I LOVE the dark pits of despair music! Gets me in the mood for Halloween and anything that does that, I love! 😂And I have the same issue! You know, ever since I picked up ND’s concealer in Peach 1, I haven’t looked back! That concealer seems to do it all for me.. color correcting, concealing, and the perfect consistency.. can’t really complain and haven’t been motivated to look at others. That said, with your raves about this one, I may look into it at the next Sephora sale! Thanks again for another expeditious review❤ sending love from Michigan

I am a 3 concealer girl. High maintenance? Yes, but what can I do? I use different shades and finishes for different things!
I use one for under eyes, and I like that one to be a bit peachy and creamy and light to medium coverage… one for the face which I want to match my skin perfectly and have a more natural finish and a medium coverage …and one for pimple coverage which I like to be matte, full coverage and my skin tone. I don’t use much of each one, though! And the only one I use every single time is the under eye concealer. Sometimes my face doesn’t need the other 2.
I’m thoroughly enjoying my Natasha Denona right now for my face. I can’t imagine anything taking it’s place (But that’s what I said about the Givenchy until I got the ND)
I use the original Shape Tape for blemish coverage. (I know! Don’t come after me, Internet! I still love it for this specific purpose)
I am interested in a new under eye concealer, though. I’m wondering in the Mario could do that….hmm
I’m interested in the Tower 28 and Haus Labs, too. I might wait to see what those are like and what their shades and make a decision. Knowing you love the Mario so much makes me want to jump in right now, though!!

hahhaha, dark pits of despair gets me EVERY TIME!!! It’s a struggle I live with every day. I typically go for a full coverage because i’m not one who likes to build things up and I’m also one who IS going to wear full-coverage concealer even with a skin tine because my dark pits of despair are so intense 😂. So I contemplate purchasing this as I’m sitting here opening a box from PML containing a new concealer. I am definitely a Tarte ShapeTape/PML concealer type. I also enjoy the Huda concealer which i feel is a medium coverage. I’m so torn….decisions decisions
Totally agreed on Huda as medium. I think you’d like this one Tracey but but but but it doesn’t need as much building up. So it ends up being thinner on the skin. And I wonder what you’d think.

Wow someone actually complained about the theme music for the dark pits? Wasn't loud at all! I just gor this concealer and wore it today with my holy grail Chanel Sublimage. I usually mix that with a bot of lancome but the Mario and chanel were amazing all day at the salon. I will try it alone tmrw. It brightened the chanel and gave it more staying power.
I’m so going to mix this with the Chanel. What a great idea!!!!!!! Yes haha. Someone hated the theme effect. Haha. But I’ve been amazed at how everyone else enjoys it like i do.

TOTALLY OUTVOTED. Haha. There's been a public outcry in favor of the DPOD song. haha. The storm is CRAZY, Sheila. It's like, um, do I need to give the hurricane a map? This is California. We don't have HURRICANES.
I didn't try the foundation but this concealer looks nice. At the moment I'm absolutely loving the ND concealer, it works fantastic on my combo skin 😊

I love the Charlotte tilbury concealer, how you you compare it in texture and coverage? Hope you are having a great day Rebecca.
The Charlotte is a teeny bit thicker. This one provides a little bit better coverage for dark circles actually. Overall, this is a better covering concealer and a bit smoother, but the Charlotte shades are actually a little more forgiving. This is running really light.
I am NOT buying that Haus Labs one for sure!! Every time I even slightly glance at that foundation I become enraged!! 🤣🤣😏

Love them both. BUT BUT BUT Surratt the shades run SO light. I need to get the right color and i'd love it. It's SUPER SUPER thin so it layers beautifully especially over color corrector. Like the surratt is a building layer. The mario is its OWN layer.

Thank you. I think I have tomorrows worth of my concealer left but I was considering buying the Kosas to try. I’d never get the concealer in the uk in time before I needed another so I suppose it will have to added to the list.
It’s good to have a concealer list. You can change it up with every purchase. I go through concealer so quickly that I never mind trying a new one. We are always looking for the next best one. Even when we have one we like. We are all promiscuous with concealers ha ha ha
Looks good ! Def smoothing and not shiny without powder ! I’m a setter so I always set with powder . I’ll have to get this one too and the tower 28❤ can’t wait ! So glad there’s better and better options nowadays ! Companies used to be so slow to release concealers. As a person who’s had to wear concealer since age 12 (dark purple under eyes ) I’m so happy to have good choices now ❤

I can't wait to see this bc I don't have a Sephora near me. I love how makeup can be so different on others. I find the KVD Good Apple concealer one of the thinnest formulas I own yet it has full coverage so it's one of my favs for a full beat. Really enjoying the new Tarte Radiant for natural days or when my skin is more dry. I always want to try every foundation and concealer 😂❤

The jouer high coverage concealer is also pretty thick. Not my favorite because you gotta be pretty careful with it.
I haven’t tried that one and, lemme tell you, I won’t. I can’t do the thick ones

Kris! Thank you so so much! Yesterday was nail day and we decided to just do a black tip and clear nails. I have to get something different every few weeks. It’s acrylic over my natural nail, no tips or extensions, and then gel over that. I don’t know what black she used. I think it’s OPI. I’ve been kind of unsure about the look so I appreciate the lovely compliment.

My least favourite category of makeup is concealer....I'm yet to find one that i like. Sadly i dodnt love the Mario foundation and gave it away. I'm strangely interested in the Haus Labs one as i really enjoy that foundation....still scared to try another concealer though...i just got to the part of rhe video where you mentioned someone complaining about the pits of despair music....well for heavens sake! It took me ages to even hear the sound effect and i too tuen up the volume to hear it!! You can never offend anyone Rebecca....yoir heart is too pure!

You did a great job color matching. I went into a Sephora while traveling and was matched as 4C in the foundation. I really enjoyed the sample I received and would consider purchasing after I use up my current foundation stash. The colors were so off with their little Sephora tool and looking at the color chart for concealer, not sure I agree. I think I'd recommend going into the store if possible.
That color predictor thing is ridiculous. I have NEVER had it be right even in store. Even the sales associate is like HUH? haha.

Would you say the new Surratt concealer is light? I like it but I matched it to their foundation color I use and the color was too light. So I’m having a hard time deciding if I love it.

The new Surratt concealer is LOVELY but the shades run SO light...like three shades too light. I was shocked. The storm...it's SO weird. Hurricane? In CALIFORNIA???
His foundation really didn't work out well for me but I would definitely be interested in giving the concealer a shot. Out of curiosity, between this concealer and the one from Natasha Denona, which do you prefer or how would you compare the two?
Great question. I prefer Mario. Both medium. Mario only one coat needed. Doesn’t have to be built so ends up thinner, if that makes sense. Mario covers a bit better. I still need color corrector but not as much as with Natasha. But both great.

So you are a medium neutral, then....hmmmm.....240 in the mario could be a good eye brightening shade....you'll see that one in this video actually. I am using 240. but then you'd have to go peach leaning on the others cos there's no good medium neutral shade. There are three medium peach leaning shades but there are photos of models wearing it so you can see if they match your skin shade. I bet that 240 would brighten under the eye for you. Check it out and let me know.
Would this be good for the face as well as under eyes? Was thinking about getting the Givenchy one for the face to use instead of foundation but this sounds like it could be good too

I’ve watched a bunch of reviews and it seems like it runs a bit dry and can settle in fine lines. I may try it on in store. I liked the look of the foundation, but it only lasted a few hours so I decluttered it. I’m interested in trying the new Haus Labs concealer.
Rabbi, this stuff stayed PERFECT on me all day, super creamy, moved with my face and you know I am expressive, haha. I just LOVED it. And I'm trying the new Haus for sure. Plus I have my Tower 28 arriving today. But with this one, not dry on me at all.

I think it looks great on you!! I didn’t vibe with his foundation, so I’m worried about the concealer. Did it accentuate any pores or texture for you?
I adore this. No pores accentuated. No lines exaggerated. But I do enjoy the foundation. So I wonder if they all go together.
I think you did a great job with shade match. Those systems which help shade match are good, but not etched in stone, huh? I am married to the glossier stretch concealer for a bit if under eye brightening, and that is all for me 😂 As an aging Gal, I’ve notified others are you much and not needed for my needs :)
Quincey, my oldest daughter has that concealer and loves it. It really appears to be quite gorgeous. They have a new foundation coming out as well, glossier, if you didn’t know.💕

Let’s see, a matte concealer… Have you tried Haus? I believe that’s in the UK now. I actually really like the new Fenty believe it or not. I’m not a huge fan of Dior. I think it wears way too quickly. and Nars is always a winner.
I thought we were starting off as the year of the foundation? As far as colour is concerned, it's most definitely turned into the year of the nudes, except for the special releases recently from Prada and the Byzance Collection from Chanel. For the life of me, I just can't understand why everyone doesn't just buy what suits them and stop following trends like a flock of sheep. Naturally, I can see a product that attracts many, yet why do so many have to leap onto the same release? It was hilarious watching so many buy the Prada Eye Palettes, yet without a clue on how to use them. It was the same with the more colourful of the Chanel Quads, no-one dared to amp up the colour! When Chanel releases something so unusual and out of the box, that should be the time to try something different. Yet, without fail, everyone jumps onto the same releases and then forgets about them a few months later. Honestly, if we haven't found our perfect concealer by now, there's something very wrong! How many different concealers do we need anyway? I've got more than enough to cover every place required on my face. I'm not at all interested in any other brands. Rebecca, I'd hate to see how many you've accumulated over time? Just as well you have others in your household to help use them up.🇦🇺💖👩🏼🎨

Hi Rebecca, Would you say it’s similar to the huda beauty fauxfilter concealer? I pulled out my concealers to film and all my fauxfilter concealers are leaking 😢 I’m thinking it might be a good time to find a replacement for them 😅

Hello Rachel! I have been enjoying the heck out of this concealer. A few people told me that other reviews have said it’s drying and sinks in the lines but, I got to tell you, I am just not having that problem at all
