I have the same model, and was quite disappointed in its performance - until I tried it underwater.
I have another dive light with a more narrow beam profile, and this Sofirn blew it out of the water. (Pun intended lol)
Apparently, it works better in a silty water environment than the other more narrow focused beam.
I don't use it for use above water anymore... that's what my Sofirn SP70 is for, and while not *the* brightest flashlight I own, it's my go-to for general use, distance wise. (on land)

    Hi great demo!
i bought the pro version myself (labeled at 10k lumen) and i intend to use it for diving. but the beam is way too wide.
my intent is to change to narrow beam (8-10 degrees) TIR lenses, but i am new to the torch moding scene and i am wondering if you have any information or a general guideline on what i need to look for when choosing the TIR lens?
    thank you in advance!

I would recommend you ask over at budgetlightforum as I don't know a whole lot about modding with TIR lenses. The TIR mods aren't something I've messed with.
