I have the Poco M3 with Snapdragon 662 and 6000 mAh battery which makes it last all day!

    !!!!!
I had to point it out
I'm thinking of getting my father some Poco X4 or X3 I think... not even sure, he barely understands how to use touch at all sadly but the one we got for him is an old one from a friend that already shows death signs... I think he should have something with IP rating cause I think that's why his old Nokia (yes with buttons!) died...

Last year I watched a video about a Nokia smartphone that has IPrating and can be frozen for many hours and still works fine. But it wasn't a smartphone...

Bought a Poco X3 NFC ten months ago, i am still very happy with it. As for this Poco C40, i think it's value for the budget price.

It is indeed! But the X3 is superior and feels a lot nicer in the hand .

that phone with the current a11 + new poco launcher 4.0 makes the phone blazing fast , don't know about a12 that is currently rolling

I think the POCO C40 would be a great bargain with 64g of memory at 99.00 dollars.

Flashsale should make it go lower than $99
      Easily a $50 phone imho

The "cheapest" Xiaomi-made phone would be A1+

Bought the A2+ before. Not as good as this

It’s not the cheapest for now. Redmi A1 is now the cheapest Xiaomi phone of 2022

I'm in Mexico. I bought two for $200 new and I spent an additional $8 for 2 phone cases that include a screen protector for each. So in total, I spent $208 for two phones with a case and screen protector. The battery life is great and it functions perfectly. Well, you have to judge it for the price that you're paying for it. I personally find it absurd to spend three to $400 for a cell phone that can get stolen or easily damaged if you drop it, which makes it difficult to repair. Or after a couple of years, despite the phone being good, you cannot easily replace the battery. It is a cell phone, dammit. You can get a low end gaming laptop or a tower PC for 3-400, then judge a phone for $100.🙂

Do they still make 32-bit processors these days?

    For a entry-level device in 2022, this is Meh, I blame the chip-shortage & inflation. Same as Realme C21, C25, C35.
Id rather grab a 2021 device with Helio G80, G90T 4/64 or SD480, SD680, decent 5000mAh battery with atleast 18w fast charging, USB C is important, decent brightness on LCD or Amoled.
Dont care about camera specs, ip rating, refresh rate.
All the above at less than USD180 is worth it, this year Poco, Vivo, Realme entry-level, budget devices aren't worth it, Id rather shop for older upper-midrange devices with atleast android 10

Agreed - some devices from 2020 and 2021 are better and now cheaper.
