Interesting point. I definitely think Guts could defeat base apostle Ganishka but I think Femto was the only one crafty enough to beat the reawakened emperor (with a little sneaky help from Skull Knight)
@@rctecopyright yes, and what's most interesting is to think about how good Femto would or wouldn't be at taking on the Sea God. It's not one of his little apostles he can just stomp on command.
@@rctecopyright IDK, in his fragmented mind Ganishka was mentally about as sharp as applesauce. Getting to him would still be an almost impossible challenge, but Femto's strategy against the reawakened demon king was the same as Guts' against the Sea God. Perhaps if Guts had Morda or Diaba fly him up the fate of the demon king would still end, but without the great astral roar.
it's incredible how Guts (even with a bit of help) was able to kill this massive creature, and people wonder if he would kill Zod with the Berserker Armour LOL.
Guts could absolutely kill zodd but Griffith? Never unless void betrays Griffith and it weakens him enough for guts to forgive him and becomes friends aga- I mean slay him 😂
What I love most about the sea god is how the true scale of it is gradually revealed chapter by chapter. It’s a truly horrifying lovecraftian creature. When I realized the tentacles are attached to a maw, and multiple maws are attached to a slug(which are ship sized), of which there are likely hundreds or thousands of slugs….and the slugs are basically just its whiskers……geeeeeeez!
I loved his depiction of the merrows! So damn many over designed mermaids out there. The understated designs of his fantastical creatures is part of why Miura-sensei was such a good character designer, among everything else. The apostles I wouldn’t call understated of course lol, they’re twisted perfectly to represent the horror of man.
after having watched your video saying what people conspiracize to be the old god hand members next to void were actually the elementals next to the first god hand member, i think the sea god is the water elemental next to void. they look insanely similar and maybe the sea god is actually its apostle form or beastly form
9:27 this is literally just like limbus company’s pallid whale’s ability to turn anything it consumes into its minions (mermaids). It feels like the pallid whale is just a reference to the sea god, all it’s missing is the sea god’s handsome beard
It seems like history repeats itself in the world of Berserk. Could it be possible that the sea god was a past attempt of an apostle to gain more power like Ganishka? Either that or maybe there’s a part of the astral world where giant god-like beings live. Maybe the sea god stayed behind when the relms separated and Ganishka’s Shiva form is the reincarnation of one of these beings.
i dont think the sea god would actually be 8KM tall, as we see it "swimming" relatively close to an island, which often have a relatively high seafloor surrounding them.
@@The_Hoss Just seems unnecessary considering the actual picture of the Apostles and creatures are enough. Might give people false impressions as to what these things look like. For example his Ganishka video looks like a Titan from AoT.
It’s a massive, tentacled ancient god whose true size, power and influence is beyond human comprehension. Sounds pretty lovecraftian to me. I think you have a pretty narrow, personal view of what is “lovecraftian”. The sea god would be right at home in a lovecraft story.
@@Jeff-tt7wj Narrow? You're the one pigeonholing Lovecraft as "The sea monster guy." I'd tell you to read his work; but honestly, Lovecraft's writing is obnoxious. @@SuperPanoply lol. I don’t disagree, I’ve read many of his stories. Everybody has their own interpretation of what is “lovecraftian”. The vast majority of humans in berserk don’t know the true nature of the world, so as far as they’re concerned it is a nightmarish “lovecraftian” god beyond their comprehension.
You know I didn't think about it till this video, but Guts' victory over the Sea God rather matches Griffith's over Ganishka.

@rctecopyright guts needed zodds help against regular apostle ganishka so I heavily doubt that.
I don’t think he’d stand a chance against ganishka personally, shiva was bigger and could destroy on a scale that the sea god couldn’t match.

I might be wrong on this but the design of the tentacles makes me think of the fanged tentacles from the monster in the movie Deep Rising.

Are the apostles true forms the biggest creatures behind Ganishka: shiva form and the sea god?
