    Check out my latest video if you want my detailed thoughts on this new version of DaVinci Resolve ruclips.net/video/jgI0MYisuXk/видео.html

    I currently use LumaFusion for mobile editing, I would definitely switch to Resolve for those purposes since I edit in Resolve on my desktop.

    As a longtime FCPX and Resolve Studio user, I have been using Fairlight extensively for my Podcasts. I understand that the iPad cut Page will be enhanced to include more features, including enhanced audio editing, I am excited to see how I can use the Cut page for basic Podcast editing. Note that since I am also a FCPX user, the Cut page will be a familiar interface for me, even though I normally use the Edit Page on the Desktop Studio Version. Now, for the haters: I also use LumaFusion and editing on a Tablet can be a game-changer, because with Luma Fusion, I can precisely edit the clips with the Apple Pencil while simultaneously (and intuitively) scrub the timeline with my fingers! all this while my M1 iPad is on my lap doing a Same Day Edit Wedding Video on-site and unteathered! Great video, btw! =)

    Since there are many of us still on the 2019 gen iPad Pro 12.9" I hope I can run this app, will look for your vid on this. I still only use the free version of resolve on my Mac mini and it does all I need, but if a studio license unlocks both mac and Ipad app I'd upgrade in a heart beat. Will look for this in your next vids.. Thanks

    Kind of hoping they’d optimize it for more sizes. I have an 11” iPad Pro M2 and would love to have it since I have the editing keyboard at home.

    Is Davinci resolve difficult to learn for new editors like myself? My iPad Pro 12.9 inch is my main computing device and I want to learn to edit on it. I use the iPad as my primary device because of my disability.

      It does have quite a bit of a learning curve. I came from adobe premiere and I knew adobe premiere in and out and I still had quite a learning curve getting into resolve. After a few months I was fine and I’ve been using it at this point for six or seven years and have never looked back to adobe premiere.

    what about ipad pro-2018? is it going to support it?

    • @RexxReviews
      @RexxReviews  2 года назад +2

      As I said in the video we have no idea what ipads this app will support LOL. We are going to have to wait until Black Magic release that information. The only 2 we know 100% for sure is the M1 and M2 models.

    Luma Fusion does literally everything that Divinci does, including super easy color grading and external SDD use. I'm not saying I don't like Black Magic stuff, I own Davinci Studio on my MBP but sadly it's not game changing.

      Luma Fusion lacks in a number of basic features such as “speed ramp” so will see what DV offers. Looking forward!

      @TheThaiLife 2 года назад +1

      @H M We don't know that will be in DaVinci on iPad thought right? Noise reduction is a $300 Studio feature that strains even Macbooks at times. You are absolutely dead wrong about the color correction in LumaFusion, it's great and "it's a non starter" lame comment means It's clear you never used it. BUT.. once again though, you don't know what the Davinci for iPad will have and if the implementation of color grading will be simplified or not. So save your lame exclamaition marks, they don't make you right. They are just a pathetic substitute for your lack of facts and knowledge.

    Finally I wouldn’t need to buy a MacBook and I can stick to getting a gaming pc plus my ipad

    As a long time Apple hater, being able to run DaVinci Resolve on this form factor would justify to me the purchase of an IPad. I would however have to hide that accursed Apple logo though.

      Davinci Resolve for the iPad Pro made me stop thinking of selling mine so far. Fantastic machine but overpowered and limited bc of the goddamn “software”. Stage manager is nice, but is not a full flexible machine. Even the cheapest M1 MB Air does more than this. Now that my 2018 i7 MBP is broken, I am forced to use this a my primary device. So, unless you need a portable and touch screen device, a Macbook Pro 14 inch base model will be a much better choice 😅

      it seems that I can also use the iPad as a field monitor. Those are 2 very big use cases that I can't ignore.

      Yeah no shit LOL. I’m curious just how strong the free version of this is going to be.

    It will go the way as every other desktop class software on the iPad. It will be limited. If apple isn’t investing time bringing their own pro software to the iPad, them marketing software from someone else is nothing but a marketing tactic

      No it’s not they actually brought all the full color grading wheel and wave form it’s pretty close and I say pretty close to the desktop version

    There is just one thing that will make the DaVinci release add to the suckage of this misleading and lazy iPad updates with new dongles. If it's a monthly service, I am going to delete my iPad.

    • @RexxReviews
      @RexxReviews  2 года назад +1

      If it’s monthly I won’t be using it either. I am hoping as good as they have been with pricing over the years that they are in touch with their user base enough to realize a monthly fee will doom this launch.
