I just picked up Name of the Wind after your recommendation so I'm really looking forward to it! I'm also planning to read Six of Crows this year too. Good luck with the reading, I hope you enjoy everything! 😊
Six of Crows! yay! also you'll fly through A Little Life because you won't want to put it down. and it's great to get outside your comfort zone. i listened to the audiobook of Narrow Road to the Deep North and i didn't really enjoy it, but i don't think it's one that's best listened to. someday i want to read the physical version because i do think it's an interesting story.
Top three books that I want to get to this year, that have been sitting on my TBR shelf are: 3) A Court Of Thornes and Roses 2) City of Bones (Yes, I've never read the Mortal Instruments) 1) The 5th Wave The top three books I want to read that I don't yet own: 3) Throne of Glass 2) Miss Peregrines 1) An Ember In the Ashes.
Wise Mans Fear is SO GOOD! I liked it even more than the first :) I've also been putting off reading Winter because I just don't want it to be all over haha When its a series I love I just want it to last! Good job getting a head start on your TBR for the year! Good Luck :)
Great picks!! I want to get to 6 of Crows sometime this year. Some of My other reads for 2016 are: David Copperfield, a reread of the Anne Series, Cress and Winter, and Hobb's Soldier Son trilogy! Good luck with all your reads 😊
You are seriously the FIRST booktuber I go to when looking for reading inspiration. I have bought and read several books you have recommended and loved them all! Looks like a great list for the year, looking forward to following your reading progress for the year and I hope you manage to tackle this list. :)
Yay for Warbreaker! It's really high on my list for my faves of his :) you'll love it! I'm also excited for Aeronaut's Windlass, as well as A Darker Shade of Magic, Poison Study and more of Sanderson's short stories. LOVE your channel!
+Annalyze yes you can! It is just in the same world. The two stories are totally separated! There are a few tiny hints to the Grisha trilogy in Six of Crows but you only notice them if you've read the Grisha trilogy and you don't miss out if you don't notice them.
Yes! I was also surprised by the density of Winter! I'm about halfway through it right now, and I have to say-- thus far it looks to be the best book in the whole series. It has a really tight, intricate plot, and of course, all the characters are now interacting. No more setup, just action! But very well arranged action. And I'm really in love with Winter herself. She's a Good Character.
I loved the bronze horseman trilogy! It was so good. And Winter was amazing. It is very very long but it honestly reads so quickly. I finished it in 3 days. Great video Reagan!
Wolf by Wolf sounds soooo goood! I am definitely adding that to my tbr. And Winter was amazing! A perfect conclusion to the series so I hope you read it soon. One book that I am looking forward to reading this year is Ron Chernow's biography of Alexander Hamilton. I know, that sounds ridiculously nerdy but it's the biography that inspired the Broadway musical Hamilton (which is amazing btw) and I really want to learn more about Hamilton's life and see the connections to the musical.
Ahhhh, can't wait for you to read Winter, it was lovely! My goal this year is to start a lot of series which is kinda intimidating but I'm looking forward to it!
Good luck! I did something like this for 2015 and I ended up reading only two of them, but I'll try to get to the rest of them this year. I also have the problem of leaving the longer books for later
The Nightingale is one I'm hoping to get to in 2016 as well. I haven't read nearly enough historical fiction in recent years and I've heard such great things about it, so I'm pretty excited.
Me too. I just don't think I have a good enough camera and I don't have enough money to go buy one, so I feel like the quality of the video would be bad.
This is a great list! I definitely want to read a lot of Brandon Sanderson this year. I'm reading all of his Cosmere books in order so once I finish The Hero of Ages I am going to pick up Warbreaker. I may even read The Way of Kings if I can overcome the intimidation its length brings.
I think you will love "A little life". It was my fourth novel in English and, even tought it wasn't easy to me understand everything, it only took me a week and a half to read this book, because I couldn't stop reading. I love " A little life" way too much xD
Did you know that there is a novella in the Kingskiller Chronicles? To tide you over for the time being? (It's title is "Slow Regard of Silent Things, and it focuses on Auri!) I'm finishing up the Mistborn-trilogy, and I plan on reading Mockingjay by S. Collins. I also have started the Welcome to Nightvale novel. And definitely reading Michel Faber's The Crimson Petal and the White. Beyond that, haven't made a real selction yet. Though I am planning on making my TBR-list shorter....
This year I just really have to read sequels... There are so many series that I just read the first book and never continued. Including but not limited to Proxy, The Lunar Chronicles, Steelheart, The Darkest Minds, and Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Chirldren. I know I would enjoy a lot of them, but I never pick them up! That's definitely my goal of this entire year. :)
Winter was so good! Also Stars Above is gonna be out Feb 2 and novellas can be good. The Nightingale was also really really good. Not sure if I liked it more or less that All the Light We Cannot See. I read both in 2015.
I read The Narrow Road to the Deep North last year and I'm interested to see your thoughts on it. I love historical fiction particularly those set in war time I'm reading Summer Garden right now. Not loving it as much as the first two in the series but it's still good. Good luck tackling that list! :)
Here are my top ten (I just put the series into one): Mortal Instruments series-Cassandra Clare Infernal Devices series-Cassandra Clare Grisha trilogy-Leigh Bardugo Six of Crows-Leigh Bardugo Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy-Laini Taylor Soundless-Richelle Mead Glittering Court-Richelle Mead Queen of the Tearling-Erika Johansen Invasion of the Tearling-Erika Johansen Matched trilogy-Ally Condie
Six of Crows was soo great! I didn't read the other trilogy but I loved it, finished it in 2 days. :) Also Wolf by Wolf intrigues me but I'm waiting for your January Wrap-up to see if it delivers. lol
This year, I'm determined to continue on with A Song of Ice and Fire (currently reading A Storm of Swords!), read something by Brandon Sanderson, read all finales to series that come out this year, experience more graphic novels or comics, and reread a couple of my favorite books! I'm hoping I'll be able to juggle this, college, and a summer job. I have high hopes!
I've been tackling Skagboys by Irvine Welsh, because I've put it off for far too long... With the soon to be released The Blade Artist, I decided that there is no better time than now, so yes. After this, I'll be reading (possibly after reading something else because I'm starting to pick up on the lingo) Trainspotting, which I haven't read in well over a decade. I'm both nervous and super excited :D
I went through a phase of not reading from about a year ago but your channel popped up in my recommended. You've inspired me (after this comment) to close my laptop and pick up a book. I'm sorry i'm only watching to 3:26 but then again i would like to thank you for motivating me to read again :) Consider me subscribed
wow, those are some big books O.o I really want to get around to reading Margaret Atwood this year. I have A Handmaid's Tale, I just need to dive in. I'm also going to try and finish up some series before it gets too daunting.
I am tackling my Dean Koontz collection this year. I plan on reading one a week possibly two. I have 67 of his books. other than those I am just going to push through my entire tbr shelf!!!
Nice selection! But what about A Storm of Swords? I would highly recommend you get around to A Song of Ice and Fire again because it's really amazing!!! Better. Than. The. Show!!!
Six of Crows was really good! I wasn't a big fan of the Grisha trilogy but I really enjoyed Six of Crows! I'm currently reading The Final Empire and I'm loving it! Definitely get to Winter soon! :)
I'd like to finish the Throne of Glass series and The Hero's of Olympus series by the end of winter than start on the Lunar Chronicles. im debating whether to get Wolf by Wolf. I'll wait for your review before I buy it.
I'm in the middle of A Little Life and absolutely loving it, and getting very attached to the characters (help). Very beautifully written as well. It doesn't feel much out of my comfort zone, it's actually very readable.
Sarah J. Maas: The Assassin's Blade (only Maas book I haven't read!)Anthony Doerr: All The Light We Cannot SeeHarper Lee: To Kill A MockingbirdErika Johansen: Queen of the Tearling (because I trust in your judgement + Emma Watson in the movie)Marissa Meyer: Cinder There's half of my top 10 tbr, I think I can make it :)
It`s good to have an area like this “fetching lobon only” (Google it) where you can discover and read most of the books. It has a user-friendly interface and there are no faults and mistakes at all. Its an important source for the people who like reading. The choice of books is fairly intensive. You could have plenty of things to read about.
SIX OF CROWS IS WONDERFUL!! SO AMAZING!! I never read the Grisha trilogy and I don't think I ever will, but Six of Crows has seriously become one of my top favorite books ever. And that's really saying something. READ IT NOWWW! :D
So many wonderful books, I am excited to heat your thoughts on 'The Nightingale'. I would like to tackle: Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry and If You Find Me
Warbreaker was my first Brandon Sanderson read and I LOVED IT! You should gather your courage and read The Stormlight Archive serie because it's masterpiece!!
I have Wolf By Wolf on my list to read this year too. Also Name of the Wind, and something by Brandon Sanderson because I'm slightly embarrassed to admit that I've never read anything by him. I'm thinking of starting with the Mistborn series.
My priority books this year or my personnal reading challenge, if you will would be Dr. Jivago and Crime and Punishment ny Dostoyevsky and also more (so much more - i have read almost zero) national (portuguese) authors.I am very much interested in The Wise Man´s Fear, The Nightingale, Wolf By Wolf and the Paulina Simmons book - they all look amaizing! Good luck in tackling all those "beasts" hahahah
Im reading A Little Life right now and it's amazing!!! I'm about half way through and can honestly say that no matter what happens i know my rating will be a 5 stars, so happy i decided to pick it up.
As I said before, "A little life" was the best book I read last year, totally changed the way I see the world and our place in it. I hope you enjoy it and I'm really looking forward to hear your opinion!
the top 3 books I want to read this year are 1. "The Fiery Cross" by Diana Gabaldon. It is 1443 pgs long and I'm only on pg 699. I've been reading this book since September. It's a great book though 2. "Throne of Glass" by Sarah J Maas. Really want to get into this series 3. I also want to finish the bloodline series by Richelle Mead. I read the first 3 books and loved it. I've also just started the Vampire Academy series as well
Wolf By Wolf was great. It's a super fast read. I read it in one day. Winter was such a satisfying conclusion to the Lunar Chronicles. You will enjoy it. I want to read Six of Crows this year too.
Are you aware of the Slow Regard of Silent Things by Patrick Rothfuss? It's a very short book focused on Auri. It was released in late 2015, I believe.
I've already started this, but I'd really like to complete (what is currently available at least) A Song of Ice and Fire series and I'm currently still on the first book. I will read this entire series this year, I want to be caught up.
GIRL I started The Wise Man's Fear over break, and I got it from the library, and did not realize how long it was and had to return it to the library before I went back to college when I was on page 735 because I had to go back to school miles away from my library AGH lol I'll have to buy it ;) also I feel the frustration of there being no third book release date yet!!!
The Nightingale is going to be a movie. READ IT. I plan on reading it this year too. i have owned both the Name of the Wind, and The Wise Man's Fear forever. I need to read it!
I definitely want to tackle the Mistborn series. I'm already about a hundred pages into the first one and I am greatly enjoying it! Also I really want to get to the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy and the Chaos Walking trilogy!
I'm currently reading Les Miserables, and it's over 1200 words from memory... Tiny writing with some pages not having a single paragraph break... Not to mention Victor Hugo is a brilliant writer but absolutely loves flowery writing and unnecessary details. He wrote almost fifty pages on the Battle of Waterloo which had absolutely no relevance until the last few pages to the plot. One second the book is moving along at a great pace and I'm entranced, and the next the plot has come to a standstill. I'm about four hundred or five hundred words in so still got a lot to read. It's one of those books that's impossible to speed read haha
The Wise Man's Fear is amazing, I'm reading it atm as well ^-^ This year I would love to read more books in the Song of Ice and Fire series, finish the Harry Potter series (it's my first time reading them), and there are some books I want to read before they become movies :)
I felt the same about the Kingkiller Chronicles. I need to reread the first two books when the third book will finally be published since I've read those 2 years ago! The agony of waiting 😢
I've just finished The Aeronaut's Windlass. Brilliant book. I think you'll love the character of Rowl - that's all I'm saying! I'm also annoyed that Rothfuss is nowhere near releasing his next book as I read it way back when it was released and have been waiting so long!
I am going to attempt to read Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. The paperback is 1200 pages? Even if I have to read 100 pages a month I am doing it! I love his work I have just been afraid of such a big book. Plus I own Words of Radiance, and I think the third book comes out this year, so I really need to commit
I've already started one of my most intimidatingly big books that I've wanted to read for ages: The Count of Monte Cristo (Alexandre Dumas). I also want to read Don Quichote this year, the Diary of Van Gogh, and that one Dickens novel I own but keep forgetting the title of :p
My goal is to finish the outlander series; I'm currently on Drums of Autumn (it's 880 pages), and the books just get larger from there! I'm also wanting to read the Lunar Chronicles, A Song of Ice and Fire (I've only read game of thrones), Throne of Glass, and Red Queen.
I am challenging myself to the 50 book challenge...already got two done....want to re-read the HP series. I also want to read the Lunar Chronicles (from all the awesome reviews I have heard), Magnus Chase, A Court of Thorns and Roses, the 5th wave triology...and many more.
BTW Kvothe=Quothe I'm reading The Name of the Wind RN and it's fantastic!! I absolutely love it and I'm almost finished. After that, I really need to read the Throne of Glass series as well as a Court of Thorns and Roses. I also need to read the mistborn trilogy and a bunch of other books by Brandon Sanderson
My list of books I want to read in 2016 mostly consists of books i wanted to read in 2015
+The Book Leo Same here haha
* pats your back *
+AliBabaDeBooks So well said
Same 😂👌🏻😭😫
+The Book Leo Yep
I just picked up Name of the Wind after your recommendation so I'm really looking forward to it! I'm also planning to read Six of Crows this year too. Good luck with the reading, I hope you enjoy everything! 😊

Top three books that I want to get to this year, that have been sitting on my TBR shelf are:
3) A Court Of Thornes and Roses
2) City of Bones (Yes, I've never read the Mortal Instruments)
1) The 5th Wave
The top three books I want to read that I don't yet own:
3) Throne of Glass
2) Miss Peregrines
1) An Ember In the Ashes.

Please read A Court of Thorns and Roses is amazing❤️📚
It was my favorite book of 2015
You'll enjoy it💯
+Diana Strent hahaha yeah, everyone keeps saying I should be reading it. Will definitely be getting to after I've finished Cress, now ahah
+Courtnay Don't put off reading A Court of Thorns and Roses- one of my best books of 2015!
I love the 5th wave!!
Read the Mortal Instruments ASAP
I spot BB8 funko pop on the bookshelf!! love him!!
I saw it to! I love him😂
and here I am watching videos about books instead of actually reading books.
Scarlet Cress and Winter are on my list! :)
+Candid Tales They are really good! :D Especially Cress and Winter!
Been really wanting to read Six of Crows as well, and have also been putting it off!
I REALLY NEED TO READ ALL THE LEIGH BARDUGO BOOKS
The Raven King. Hey.
I just finished reading The Nightingale and honestly cannot put into words how much I loved it. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it!
I love Jim Butcher too! I'm excited for this new series of his as well. Happy reading, your selections look great.
I loved the bronze horseman trilogy! It was so good. And Winter was amazing. It is very very long but it honestly reads so quickly. I finished it in 3 days.
Great video Reagan!
You are my favourite booktuber
Wolf by Wolf sounds soooo goood! I am definitely adding that to my tbr. And Winter was amazing! A perfect conclusion to the series so I hope you read it soon. One book that I am looking forward to reading this year is Ron Chernow's biography of Alexander Hamilton. I know, that sounds ridiculously nerdy but it's the biography that inspired the Broadway musical Hamilton (which is amazing btw) and I really want to learn more about Hamilton's life and see the connections to the musical.
Such great picks! I really hope you enjoy Winter. Wolf by Wolf sounds AMAZING, definitely on my TBR for January as well!
Ahhhh, can't wait for you to read Winter, it was lovely! My goal this year is to start a lot of series which is kinda intimidating but I'm looking forward to it!
-Lady Midnight
-The Lunas Chronicles
-The Lord of the Rings
-Six of Crows
-A Court of Thorns and Roses
-Eleanor & Park
-The Wrath and the Dawn
The name of the wind is one of my top 16 read of 2016 as well!
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it, and to reading it myself!
Warbreaker and Winter are both fantastic novels! Warbreaker is part of the Cosmere, and I really enjoyed it!
I am currently reading Winter at the moment. It is fantastic and it also flows really well. It won't take you too long to read!
I'd love to be a booktuber but it scares me a little...
You should give it a try! :D
If it interests you, Do it!!
You should Just do it!! I was afraid at first but it turned out to be one of the best decisions I ever made 😊😊
I want to be one too! But I don't know if I'm old enough, I'm 13 1/2. I'm also nervous about friends and family watching me.
Me too. I just don't think I have a good enough camera and I don't have enough money to go buy one, so I feel like the quality of the video would be bad.
A Little Life is the best book I have read in 2105, it is absolutely worth it.
2105?! ARE YOU A TIME-TRAVELER?!
+Sophie Luvs Books OMG YOU GOT ME:)
Oh, BB-8 spotted in the background... Okay, hope you get to all these exciting readings Regan!

I need to read Wolf by Wolf! It sounds amazing and it was in my December book haul! I plan to read Winter this month. so many good books!
I want to read Six Of Crows too, and I've finally started Winter. Great picks!

860 likes and NO dislikes. That's really impressive.

i just started a little life and i cannot wait to dive deeper into it!
A Little Life is so beautiful and heartbreaking. My top book of 2015, and one of my favorite books of life ❤️
I really want to finish the Throne of Glass series! The Mistborn trilogy and All the Light We Cannot See are my two main priorities :)
Great top 10! The cover of Winter is really gorgeous.

3. I also want to finish the bloodline series by Richelle Mead. I read the first 3 books and loved it. I've also just started the Vampire Academy series as well
Six of Crows was great. Loved Winter. I think you will love The Nightingale.
Wolf By Wolf was great. It's a super fast read. I read it in one day. Winter was such a satisfying conclusion to the Lunar Chronicles. You will enjoy it. I want to read Six of Crows this year too.
Woo! Warbreaker is my favorite Brandon Sanderson book, and my second favorite shardworld.
RAGEN I JUST FINISHED THE SHADOW OF THE WIND AND MY MIND IS BLOWN TO EXTREME HEIGHTS. THANK YOU BECAUSE I STARTED OFF MY READING YEAR JUST RIGHT
Are you aware of the Slow Regard of Silent Things by Patrick Rothfuss? It's a very short book focused on Auri. It was released in late 2015, I believe.
I've already started this, but I'd really like to complete (what is currently available at least) A Song of Ice and Fire series and I'm currently still on the first book. I will read this entire series this year, I want to be caught up.
The last book of the red rising trilogy comes out this year so I'm super excited for that! And I would totally recommend those to everyone else ;)
Many big books but from experience I can say that sometimes it is better to have a big rather than a small book of the story you love! Good luck ;)
The Nightingale is FABULOUS! One of my favorite books from 2015.
The Wise Man's Fear is amazing, I'm reading it atm as well ^-^
This year I would love to read more books in the Song of Ice and Fire series, finish the Harry Potter series (it's my first time reading them), and there are some books I want to read before they become movies :)
warbreaker is amazing and has a lot of characters that interestingly cross over in the cosmere... so gooood
I felt the same about the Kingkiller Chronicles. I need to reread the first two books when the third book will finally be published since I've read those 2 years ago! The agony of waiting 😢
Yess Six of Crows!! I figured The Way of Kings would be on your list! haha Maybe next year.
BTW Kvothe=Quothe
I'm reading The Name of the Wind RN and it's fantastic!! I absolutely love it and I'm almost finished. After that, I really need to read the Throne of Glass series as well as a Court of Thorns and Roses. I also need to read the mistborn trilogy and a bunch of other books by Brandon Sanderson
Ooohooh wolf by wolf sounds interesting! I'm doing history at GCSEs and we're doing ww2 at the mo so I might pick that up!
I've been putting off finishing The Lunar Chronicles but it's definitely on my list of things to do! XD Also Six of Crows!
Hey, I just finished 'Warbreaker' today and loved it! I hope and and I'am sure you will too! 📚♥️
