Welcome to Vlogmas week 3!
In this one we meet up with some old mates, and walking buddies, Sally & Steve, at the historic Woodhenge and have a cuddle with their baby, Jack, for the first time!
We also visit the epic Stourhead Christmas lights. Each installation was like a work of art, we were blown away with its' stunning mixture of lights and music, really worth seeing if you are able.
Kat helped festively decorate her mum and dads, they are still exhausted from it! Kat also talks about anxiety and a breathing exercise she uses to help manage symptoms.

All the exercises you mention , I do all of them , the breathing is very good for fighting COVID . Breath hold breath , breath out x 6 on 6 do big cough .

Hey Kaat and Ceri, you both look pretty good with that baby in your arms. Just saying. Wow, Stourhead looks amazing in the lights. I remember it from your summer wanderings too. Glad that you are managing the anxiety, Kaat. You are too wonderful to shy away from anyone! You did up the holiday decorations in style, and managed to get in some hiking, feeding the cake, and working in the garden. I think you'll need to sleep for a week after Christmas!

Glad you enjoyed the Stourhead lights by far the best display we have seen in recent years, sadly we couldn't share the actual music, but it was a real treat and times with the lights too.

Ceri & Kat, loved that penguin suit - should be obligatory hiking gear - and the baby smiles😊👍 Cool to see you are getting at least some sunshine over there☀ as it has been in really short supply over here in the western reaches. The Christmas lights looked fantastic🎄👍 and the Christmas hat wasn't too bad either😊 It was great to learn that birthing gives those rights to decorate (so professionally) forever more - totally unknown to me for all these years😊 Agree about the decluttering and pressure relief from even a small time outdoors and definitely the breathing (and laughing too)👍👍 Well done on getting the daffs planted🌼🌼

Cheers - I struggled home to civilization today and got the gift of seeing another week of you preparing for Christmas and enjoying the pleasant muddy season outdoors in your place. When stuck in darkness and minus 15C Celsius you have no idea how nice that kind of weather and walks looks like (you even walked in shorts Ceri...). I guess the lovely and spirited cake has been eaten by the time you read this comment; but well deserved and I look forward to your next vlog! It cheers me up here in the north:) And by the way....cold tree and warm tree.....now that is an idea!
Aww thank you so much, what a lovely comment. Really glad to help and share out festive joy with you, so sorry its such a struggle, I wouldn't cope well with that. I have found doing "Vlogmas" a great motivator and has helped get me out and about more than I normally would throughout December. It had been freakishly mild here and very wet, the mud is here too stay! We have had one slice of cake each so far, it was delicious! Can't wait to get out on a walk with it! You guys look good with a baby! 😍 I also carried our kids when they where small. Preferred it to a buggy... Beautiful lights, loved the walk through hearts. A lot of Christmas decorations! Your German must be good after so many years of listening to German Christmas songs! 🎄 I did almost all my shopping on line, I think that's a great invention! Ohhh, I think someone is getting broody, real nice little fella (the baby) and always nice to get out on a family walk. It's nice when you are out and someone shouts your name, the funniest for us was in Tesco car park, when this couple said "OMG it's Mrs Metalman" and then almost fainted when I come up behind them, so funny but what a real nice couple they were. I loved the look on Kats face but get used to it, going to happen a lot for you both now. The lights were amazing, something we have not done this year and I have so missed it but it was so worth the muddy legs. When I was 8 years old, I stepped out on the road, looked up the street and saw a car coming towards me - I froze and the car hit me. I still have panic attacks, brain freeze and stutter attacks to this day, even though I can go over a year without any of them, so I can relate to your anxiety attacks. It's funny, you always look so calm and in control but these things creep up on you, usually, when you least expect it. You did a great job and with the decorations and (imo) you can never have enough crap lol. Those cakes looked insane, I am sure I could almost smell them from here - man you really do work hard! I do the same breathing if I am feeling stressed and especially before I take my blood pressure. Just as well that Ceri does not have high BP mind, especially with 12 days of scaremus! I killed my knees planting two sacks of daffs, just like yours, about 15 years ago in my front garden but they look awesome every year when they all come up. Super lovely light displays. You British folk really know how to light up the night this time of year. That blue tree with white balls was probably our favourite.
Kay's interludes in the car are some nice mortar to hold the bricks of the presentation together. She's got a great Grinch laugh. She would probably enjoy JR's mémère's house. No less than 7 Christmas trees, each with its own theme, plus an animatronic Santa's workshop in the basement. We haven't been in a couple years now thanks to COVID.

So many cool places to see lights near you. Oooh those trees with the lights and the roots. Love whoever had that idea. The projector lights you have are so amazing. You did a great job decorating. Ceri are you a Treky? I grew up watching Star Trek. My dad always watched it and well so did I. I really love that you guys try to do lunchtime walks to get outside, get some fresh air and break up the workday. It's a great idea. Ok Kat when you were on the swing, I was saying out loud. I did fancy seeing the lights at Stourhead myself as I do like the garden. Had to pick and choose a bit and headed to Waddesden instead. The lights do look amazing. Maybe time to get there yet. I am sure you are going to have an amazing Chistmas. Best Wishes.

Took him too a load of cool places like winter hill in Bolton, places where he could experience being out of the house but without people, and he had a good old time, then went on a few drives and worked up slowly to stopping off at a chippy on the way back etc it did him a power of good
