Making mince pies! You lucky blighters, nom nom! 🎄 🥧 what an amazing comment Debs, Phil, thank you both so so much! You have been with us and supporting us for so long, we are truly very lucky! My boss lives in the New Forest, who knows maybe you could have been neighbours! Glad you enjoyed all the different types of fungi, couldn't belive how many we found! I just used my phone, a mid range Samsung for the photos, I should have bought the TG6, I do still take it out from time to time and it's definitely great for macro! We absolutely need to visit Brownsea, Kat has mentioned it a couple of times this year, the trouble is the "list" just keeps growing of placesto visit lol, I'm sure you guys know that feeling! There were definitely soem Willie shaoed fungi, Badger pointed out one or two! Soem bug, some small, and who knows how many there are in the world, the mind boggles! 🌎 🍄 Again, thank you as always, we love you guys 💎 ❤️ have a great weekend, Ceri and Kat ☕️🫖🥰👍☕️🫖
Cheers - this has been another nice adventure filled with enthusiasm and fun facts. So where is that check from the Tourist Board - you really deserve it! Both for showcasing the grand New Forest and for showing us the hidden life of fungi in the forest. On that note I have to admit that I first thought that the Devils fingers is an elaborate hoax to fool us city dwellers - how can anything in England's green and pleasant land look like that. But when you explained the link to Australia things fell into place:-) Another fun fact is that there is a link between The New Forest and my city in the north courtesy of the gallant RAF; but what it is I will leave as a quiz for those interested in history! So hoping to see a new Christmas vlog from you soon - that will for sure cheer up the community and this year we need it! All the best, Ant
Ant you are such a gent, thank you so much for your amazing support, feedback, friendship and chips! Kat is researching your link, you had her stumped, no mean feat! Well done sir. Glad to share this amazing fungi fille place with you, love what you said about the Devil's Fingers/octopus stinknhorn! It does look like a hoax 👀 😲 we may well do some Vlogmas, that being said I'm badly being on editing videos atm 🐌 love and hugs, Ceri and Kat ☕️ ❤️ 😀 👍 💙
Thank you for joining us and your kind words of support, really appreciated and pleased you enjoyed this wonderful place! Have a great week, Ceri and Kat ☕️ 😀 👍 ❤️ 🍄

Thanks as always for your kind words of support and feedback Martin, really appreciate it 👍 glad you enjoyed the tour of the New Forest, have a great week and yes keep enjoying those greenspaces! 💚👍☕️❤️
Love me some fungus! OMG donkeys are my favorite! They are so sweet! Wow, I have never heard of devil's fingers. How cool are they? What a pile of cool fungus on that tree stump. This is my kinda video - all of the animals AND fungus? Merry Christmas to me I love it! I love the little bangs on the highland cattle. I just want to go brush them. You can't tell that I like animals at all right??? Jelly fungus is way cool. Great walk-through shots with mushrooms in the foreground - excellent creative videography. Those big fallen trees look a little spooky too, especially if there was some mist or fog in the air. They are like works of art on the forest floor. The bright yellow is eye catching. Picking a favorite is so hard, but I really liked the jelly fungus, it's so different looking compared to my US fungi. What a fantastical video my friends. Loved every second of it. Fungus among us! ~RVA~
Aww Jacqueline, thank you, what a lovely and excited comment! Definitely comes across you are a fungi fan, and the animals too! They were amazing, Kat loves the pigs the most, I'm with youn on the Highland cattle, get the cow grooming kit out ✂️ 🐮 Thanks for spotting the walk by shots, wanted to keep the fungi as the star of the show 🌟 ❤️ I do love the yellow Stag horn too, it's high on my favourite list! 💛 Hope you had a great weekend, and a fab week ahead, Ceri and Kat ☕️ 😀 👍 ❤️
It's pretty awesome, a big down side if I'm honest, you never feel 100% disconnected from society, you can always hear the rumblings of Portsmouth & Southampton through the trees, still beautiful 😍 👍 ❤️
Great to see you both back out again 😊 I'm not a massive fan of eating mushrooms, but I love to see them in the wild, the devils finger sure looks cool 😎🍄 great to see the horses run free too 🥰 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Cat boking at the rotten mushroom 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 cuppa on a log too 👌☕ Skol 😊 bahahahahahaha Ceri screaming hugging the tree, I spat my tea out 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Haze outdoors swears by chicken of the woods for cooking 👌 I do love to see the highland cattle, we have some in our village 😊 yep make sure you know what you are doing if foraging mushrooms to eat, you can eat them all, some only once ☠️ a huge congratulations for the 2k subs thoroughly well deserved you lovely people 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 and that fallen tree 😍😍😍😍😍 love it 😊 the yellow staghorn is just beautiful 🍄😍 absolutely fantastic, informative video as usual, I really really enjoyed this one, catch you both very soon, much love Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁 ps candle snuff gets my fave 🍄 vote 👌
Oooh candlesnuffs, a first from the comments and a great pick! Good morning and happy Monday Paul, thank you so much for all your support and friendship, really helps encourage us to keep sharing our adventures 😀 👍❤️🍄 Pleased you enjoyed this one, we are with you, not a big fan of eating them but interesting to investigate, photograph and occasional poke! Ah man "the slug" genuinely freaked me out 😆 😱 I'm such a woss with such things! I'm terrible at home in the garden 🐌 Hope you and the family are good and well, love and hugs from us, catch you soon, Ceri and Kat ☕️ 😀 👍❤️🍄
Awesome folks. It's funny how we expect certain flowers, fungi etc to be bigger, re the devil's fingers. I remember being rather taken aback with the small stature of my first bee orchids (controversial, but an overrated orchid for me 😬). My initial thought on the brown bracket fungus was a beefsteak fungus, past its best. I've seen them on both oak and sweet chestnut. I'm a long way from 100 per-cent though.....your ID might be closer to the mark. The bolete is almost certainly one of the Leccinum species. It's years since I last visited the New Forest and there are so many speciality species there I'd like to see, stag beetles being one and the wild gladiolus as well. Congrats on the 2000 subs too. Best wishes, Chris
Wild gladiolus, Kat's ears nearly pinged off her head! Thanks for sharing your expertise and experience Chris, you may well be right, I wouldn't say we'd be 100% confident on our fungi identification, it's a tricky business 🤓 really glad you enjoyed the video, was alot to take in and I couldn't quite believe how many different sorts we found! And yes it is funny how you set expectations and often can be a little dissatisfied, thankfully our socks were truly blown off here and we had an awesome day! Thanks for your support and feedback, really appreciated, have a great weekend, Ceri and Kat ☕️ 😀 😊 🍄 ❤️
Hahha yes the poo ones don't seem to get much love, intresting but smelly! 💩 appreciate your feedback and support, have a great week, Ceri and Kat ☕️ 😀 👍 ❤️
The puff mushrooms are just so funny 😂 I love to go on mushroom hunting myself but you always need a good book or someone who knows-it-all, I bet LexiKat is just that person :) Great to see those “wild” horses, just like being back in the prairie! Geez some of these mushrooms are probably not even earth being, they looks so weird!!! The most that you can find in Sweden btw is chanterelles or karljohan that I don’t know how you say in English… Really cool adventure guys ❤. Great to see you out and about 😊 always fun to be part of the tea team !!
Tea team! Love it 🫖☕️🐢 thank you so much for being here and sharing your Swedish fungi experiences with us too! 🍄 🇸🇪 really intresting to know what you guys do and done have! There was so many amzing mushroom on this hike, we started in the dark and nearly ended in the dark too, Lexikat is the ideal fungi friend! Have a great weekend, Ceri and Kat ☕️ ❤️ 😀 👍 🗺🧭
We're celebrating the poopy fungi find too, Ceri and Kat! 😁😁So much better to find it before stepping in it! Lovely forest stroll but we wouldn't be eating the mushrooms with the most poisonous variety to be found. We'll enjoy the domestic ones found in the markets! We know nothing about the different kinds and enjoyed learning. Thanks so much for bringing us along and congrats too on the 2K!
Good morning and happy Tuesday Dave and Kathy, thanks for joining us on this funginfilled adventure, we are with you, we'll only eat store bought 😀 🍄 thanks for all your support with the channel and you super comments, always really appreciated 👍 have a great week, Ceri and Kat ☕️ ❤️ 😊
Hi Ceri and Kat. We never seen that red alien fungi before. Honey mushrooms are "edible"...but no thank you. You found Bolete for sure but it is hard to estimate it through the video. Nice mushroom hunting. Cheers guys and have a nice weekend. Sretana and Zac.🖐😊🤗
Good evening Stretana, Zac, thanks for joining us on this super fungus filled extravaganza! Like you, some are edible, but no thanks, only if my life depended on it 👍 hope you have both had a great weekend, Ceri and Kat 👍❤️☕️🗺🧭
Thank you for you support, pleased you enjoyed the tour, we wouldn't know where to start with regards picking, we just like to look and the odd photo. Have a great week, Ceri and Kat 🍄🫖👍💚☕️
For your information, I also remember Woolworths AND their Pick 'n' Mix. ;-) Enjoyed following your forage around the forest. Hope you both have another good weekend ahead.
The legend of the Woolworths Pick'n'Mix! Apparently they are still a thing down under, so say the wonderful Sand Van channel! Quickly, let's go! Hope you had a good weekend Olly, thanks for all your support amd encouragement over the past 2 years, really appreciated, Ceri and Kat 🍄🧭💚🗺👍🫖
Whoa those devils fingers are definitely something otherworldly!! I wouldn’t get too close, be afraid I’d end up like one of those poor folk in the Alien movies where it latched onto my face 😂 Great video you two!! Love the editing style!! 🎥
Good morning and happy Wednesday Eric, yes! It could be the start of the Alien movie for sure, I'll keep a close eye on Kat....or maybe she's watching me! 😱 Appreciate your comment and support, have a great week, Ceri and Kat 👍💚🫖🍄☕️
How cool is that to see Devil's fingers. Alien for sure. So you're in a National Park, so the horses were wild? Not a fan of fungi, as a boy I took the butt of my BB gun to a fungi on the side of a tree to break it off..........it broke my gun, LOL. Land coral, that's what they look like. Oh wow, 2K subscribers! Nice but no surprise.
A broken BB gun, no! 🔫 😔 that is a fair reason not to be a fungi fan, best watched from a safe distance on YT then 👍 😀 yup the hordes are indeed wild ponies, alot of free grazing through the New Forest, a truly amazing and historic place! Thanks for your support and feedback, have a great weekend, Ceri and Kat ☕️ ❤️ 😀 👍 😊
@@TeaInValhalla Wow, that indeed is a fantastic park. We have a few places like that here in the States that I know of. Only one on the East Coast but I hope to see it soon. Happy Friday!

Howdy Ceri and Kat and a very happy Friday evening to you! 😃 Like button tickled as always 👍 Well I have to say congratulations on getting 2,000 subs! Well deserved. I'm pleased to say I'm amongst those 2,000 😃 I'm sure you will hit a lot more soon. Lovely to see some of the New Forest. Visited Lyndhurst a long time ago, but not seen much more beyond that. All those different varieties of fungi, just incredible. I think I'd like the look of the parasols best 😃 I did chuckle when you hugged the tree Ceri and thought there was a huge slug! 😂 I have absolutely no doubt I would have done the same thing there! Nice to see the pigs coming up to you to say hi too! 🐷🐽 Another fab video as always Ceri and Kat. Have a wonderful weekend. All the best 😃👍

Ceri & Kat, fantastic fungi🍄 hunting and those Devil's Fingers are well cool👍 Though of course nothing better than Poo Fungus👍 and Fungi Eye should be a fungus in itself👍 It looked like a great day exploring in the wonderful New Forest.
Again, thank you as always, we love you guys 💎 ❤️ have a great weekend, Ceri and Kat ☕️🫖🥰👍☕️🫖

They were amazing, Kat loves the pigs the most, I'm with youn on the Highland cattle, get the cow grooming kit out ✂️ 🐮
Thanks for spotting the walk by shots, wanted to keep the fungi as the star of the show 🌟 ❤️ I do love the yellow Stag horn too, it's high on my favourite list! 💛
Hope you had a great weekend, and a fab week ahead, Ceri and Kat ☕️ 😀 👍 ❤️
🎉🎉🎉🎉congratulations on passing the 2k subs. So well deserved 🎉
Appreciate your support and fab comments always Emz, we all help each other 👍🏆💚🥰
Very pretty forest 🌳 ❤
Beautiful isn't it, not normally a forest fan, but this won us round! It was stunning 😍 🌳 🌲
Sounds like this place has everything
It's pretty awesome, a big down side if I'm honest, you never feel 100% disconnected from society, you can always hear the rumblings of Portsmouth & Southampton through the trees, still beautiful 😍 👍 ❤️
Octopus stinkhorn sounds like a bush tucker trial
Gone wrong for 1⭐️
Lol yes Mally! 🤣 I can almost hear Ant and Dec cracking jokes now too 👃 🐙
Great to see you both back out again 😊 I'm not a massive fan of eating mushrooms, but I love to see them in the wild, the devils finger sure looks cool 😎🍄 great to see the horses run free too 🥰 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Cat boking at the rotten mushroom 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 cuppa on a log too 👌☕ Skol 😊 bahahahahahaha Ceri screaming hugging the tree, I spat my tea out 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Haze outdoors swears by chicken of the woods for cooking 👌 I do love to see the highland cattle, we have some in our village 😊 yep make sure you know what you are doing if foraging mushrooms to eat, you can eat them all, some only once ☠️ a huge congratulations for the 2k subs thoroughly well deserved you lovely people 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 and that fallen tree 😍😍😍😍😍 love it 😊 the yellow staghorn is just beautiful 🍄😍 absolutely fantastic, informative video as usual, I really really enjoyed this one, catch you both very soon, much love Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁 ps candle snuff gets my fave 🍄 vote 👌

Forests look so stunning in autumn ❤
It's been a beautifully long one here too, unseasonably warm, the colours have lasted longer than I can remember 🍂
Ooooo piggies!! 🐷🐷🐷 and moooo cows 🐮🐮🐮
The piggies were amazing 👏 Kat was a little bit smitten 🐖 ❤️ and the cattle made here jump as we drove in under the cover of darkness 😀
A beautiful landscape. Love the horses 🍁❤️
Glad you enjoyed it Shirley 😊 the horses were very spirited 🐎 🐴 ❤️ have a great week, Ceri and Kat 🫖👍💚🧭🗺
Very interesting mushrooms expect the ones with the poo on them😂
Hahha yes the poo ones don't seem to get much love, intresting but smelly! 💩 appreciate your feedback and support, have a great week, Ceri and Kat ☕️ 😀 👍 ❤️
The puff mushrooms are just so funny 😂 I love to go on mushroom hunting myself but you always need a good book or someone who knows-it-all, I bet LexiKat is just that person :)
Great to see those “wild” horses, just like being back in the prairie!
Geez some of these mushrooms are probably not even earth being, they looks so weird!!! The most that you can find in Sweden btw is chanterelles or karljohan that I don’t know how you say in English…
Really cool adventure guys ❤.

Wow guys, this was such an interesting tour. I have no idea how to pick fungi, just look at them and admire the so many shapes, forms and colors 🙂

So cool! Sounds like it should be in a Merry Berry cookbook 📖 🎂
