Perfect! Good detailed explanation for everyone. Something cool you can do is the receivers don't have to be located together. If you're flying a twin tractor with ESCs in the wing, you can have a receiver in each wing powered off the ESC BEC driving that motor and the aileron / flaps for that wing. Even add a third receiver for rudder / elevator. Whatever layout works for your build. 😀
I do this same thing for a head tracker module. Has its own receiver with telemetry off and runs of channels 8 and 9. Then I can take it on and off my planes easily with it only needing power.
Awesome explanation but was wondering where do you go to the 'receiver configuration page'. I have a Gruner 'inside' full house glider which needed 9 channels . I intend to expend another Matek R24 receiver for the remaining channels. Hope someone could guide me on this. thanks.
If you start the RX with the TX off, after a preconfigured period of time it goes into "AP" mode. You connect your PC wifi to it. It will broadcast an SSID: Express LRS Rx. Default password is expresslrs Once connected to AP, the IP address is 10.0.0.1
Great video I have been looking for 10+ channel Rxs for my Tx16S but there aren't many around this method looks straight forward and I will be using it. I will have to find out how to remap the receivers as I couldn't see what you were using to do this. Similarly I have to find out how to use a computer to program my TxS16 which I believe is possible.
What if someone would want two aileron or two elevator servos? How do you recommend setting up the radio so you dont have half the packet rates compared to the other aileron or elevator since one will be assigned in channels 1-4 while the other would be assigned in channels 6-12?
Would it be possible to use a serial ELRS receiver connected to a flight controller for the main control surface channels and a secondary PWM receiver for other channels? I am looking at using a SpeedyBee F405 wing mini flight controller on a C-130 build, but will need more channels than the mini has. I have several of these Matek 6 channel receivers. I know they have issues, but thats why would use it to control lights, cargo doors ect. and would like to use them in this capacity. On a different note. If you were going nuts, could you do more than two receivers using this same approach?
Excellent!! I have just recently switched over to ELRS and im loving it. I just got one of the rx's for one of my old planes and i really needed one more channel. I thought.. I wonder if it could bind to 2 recievers at once.. nah thats silly. . Turns out not so silly! Great video, Thanks. P.S. What are the chaces we'll get PPM support with these?
I have heard in comments elsewhere that with elrs v3.0, you can get more than 4 full resolution channels. However no method of achieving this has been made public, as far as I know. I think even with the 12 ch pwm in the video, there are only 4 full res ch. I would appreciate comment on this problem.
With 3.0, 8 ch full res full rate. Ch5 is still 1 bit. But you get 1-9 full res. 16ch full res half rate. So at 333hz you get 166hz 16 full res channels including Ch5.
So I have a question. I fly warbirds that have retracts and flaps. Could I use just the 6ch Rx or would I need more channels. Cause you were saying ch 5 is for arming. So is ch 5 on the Rx left empty or can I plug my retracts into ch 5
Both receivers listen to the RX, but I'm not sure how you could wire this to get diversity. I've never tried two receivers on a Y telling one servo what to do. And if you didn't have them on a Y, then you have a logic problem. This setup was designed to extend PWM and use two rx's as one, not in a backup mode.
I'm not 100%, but the only external sensor input I'm aware of is vbat. The firmware might just be setup to deliver current for boards with a current sensor input. I can confirm vbat works.

I like all the possible ways for the use of this combination. More to wrap my mind around. Good video John.
Thanks for the credit John 😉. Great job with the construction and explanation!
Great suggestion. Thanks for floating it by me.
Awesome video. I can't believe I didn't know about your channel till this video got recommended to me.

EdgeTX Companion for radio setup. I have lots of videos on this. The RX has a built-in wifi page.
Thank you, I need this!
Can you also get Sbus out of that somehow to feed a gyro that takes Sbus in?
You can now: ruclips.net/video/1iVjSNsvL5Q/видео.html

hey! are you able to get battery Voltage telemetry on this? I did the setup but im unable to get it
Hello thanks for the video i did not really understand the remapping process . ON what program are you doing it? thanksagain
That is the model configuration page available from the ELRS receiver's wifi hotspot.
@@B3D_FPV thanks a lot
@@B3D_FPV sorry i did not find it ?
sorry to ask again but i really dont find the way to change channels order ? Can you please explain thanks a lot

Glad to know the video helped. Regarding PPM, I really don't know. I would guess not much of a chance, but I just don't know the answer to that one.
Any wiring schematic? Sorry for my bad English, I can't keep up the explanation.

I have one more question. Some rxs come with the T shaped antennas. Can i use a normal straight antenna and if so does it have to be a certain length
2.4ghz ELRS antennas will have the correct active element. It's ok to use a T with a dipole.
I can't bind the matek r24-p6 and de t lite V2, I flash both whit the same version of ELRS.
If you have the same version of ELRS and the same binding phrase flashed to both rx and tx, then you should open a ticket on the ELRS github.
Hi - this is exactly what I was looking for thank you!! I've joined the discord - how do I find that really cool .stl for the dual receiver box pls?
Link is in description www.thingiverse.com/thing:5523779
lol, found it - thank you! :D
Great video
Thanks!
Could I use one of these for an old naze32 board to change over from my spektrum rx?
If you use PWM out from the Rx you can.

You remap pin 5 to be something else.
@@RCVideoReviews Got it, thanks
What if you fly planes and your using the ESC to power your Rx , how would you power the other one. Or you can't
Jumper wire. that's what I did. Far left row, bottom 2 pins are for power. Connect one to the other. Keep polarity straight of course.
@@RCVideoReviews Awesome thanks

Hi John! Is the channel 6 be good to use as a slave for a dual servo aileron setup? Im using it in a beginner 3D foamie. Thanks!
Sure. You can use it however you like.
@@RCVideoReviews thank you.
On those RXs in telemetry there is "Curr" under RxBt, but I can't make it work... Anyone have any ideas?

Yeah, pretty cool.
Great video! I'm really into elrs for fixed wing and I love your focus on this subject. How do I access your Discord channel please?
Hey Chris, Glad the info is useful to you. Discord invite is in the description of every video I post: discord.gg/jSFTASU
