  • This is the first of a four part "Camping/Outdoor Skills" series that is a deep dive into the Truckers Hitch. In this series we will cover many variations of the Trucker's Hitch. In this cours viewers will learn the Alpine Butterfly, Full and Half Sheepshank, Inline Figure 8, and the Tautline Hitch to name a few. Having a good command of the most useful camping knots will make any outdoor adventure better.

    Moving the camera angle so much is confusing.

    If the loop in the line is an integral part of the knot system then you should explain how it got there and how to tie it in.

      Alpine Butterfly is easy to untie afterwards, and the Trucker's Hitch gives you 3X the pull power to tie the ridgeline taut.
