There's no way to make something like custom Revit families in BlenderBIM yet right? I'm pretty sure they wanted to add that capability eventually but it's much later on their roadmap.
@@petcon29 I have had trouble finding tutorials or documentation on this, do you know of any? So if you're right I can create my own arbitrary geometry and tie the dimensions of the geometry to parameters that "flex" when I change the values? Key words being arbitrary geometry that I create and not prebuilt types that come with blenderbim?
Guys, can you make a tutorial how to split an existing ifc inside blender bim. I cant find any concise information about it. I want to import an ifc, make a selection, then export that selection into another ifc file.
Thanks for this, much needed
You're welcome! What other tutorials would you like to see?
@@BIMvoice I would like to see more tutorials on generating drawings with BlenderBim :D

Those would be IFC types, and yes you can use that already.

sorry for the late reply. IfcArchitect has few videos about how to create IFC window type for example.

you can do that with IfcPatch, using the recipe ExtractElements. I will make a video with that soon.
