@BIMvoice I mean, I am designing a house, for example, in Blender. After that, I want to make an executive plan for it through IFC, but when I take the measurements, they appear to me, but the house does not appear!! Can you help me with this, please?
Thank you for the kind words. All errors should be reported on GitHub github.com/IfcOpenShell/IfcOpenShell/issues, and they will promptly be fixed :) It's also a great way to support the Bonsai project itself. P.S. I would try most updated version, I'm quite sure that error has been fixed already :)
What if you need te reload an up to date IFC from the link file? Do you have to go through again the "cache file creation process"? (So it would not be a real link because you cannot reload it?)
Hey! What about data of the elemens in the linked models? Can you read it? And could you use the 'Colour by propertie' feature with those linked models??
@bim-age I don't know, I have to try. ANyway, if you know you got updated models should not be so difficult to unlink the existing version and link the newer right?
@@BIMvoice Yes, sure. But the idea from a graphic designer point of view would be to link the model, overide material for rendering, and if the architect update his model you don't loose this work. Like you can do in D5 render or Twinmotion from a FBX file for example. Idea = collaborative work between architect and graphic designer and not the usual one way workflow.
how to cnvrert models blender to ifc in blender please!
Can you share your model with me? A sample model that I could use in a video?

Hey Petru! Nice video! Any ideas why I'm getting a Traceback python error when trying to link the files?

Please report that on github so it will be fixed. If you use today's version that might be fixed already.

@victorbertran8681 that's limited so far, you can read some data but it is very limited at this point in time.

@@bim-age you don't lose any work you do in the model you are working on when you re-link...
