Great stuff, you are on the right track then! But listen, why do you want to learn to use BlenderBIM? What path do you aim for? Modeling or IFC model validation?
@BIMvoice Both. I'm writing my master's thesis on IDS, so now I'm more focused on validation, but I would like to learn modeling as well. I use Revit now. I meet blenderbim when I was searching for bim authoring software for linux a few years ago. But now i know that is more then only modeling
@@BIMvoice I currently work for a company, as engineer I am in the technical department. But we are starting to create the BIM unit so I will continue in this area. Bim coordinator could be a good job :)
Ofc course it is. IfcArchitect has been using it for over 2 years now. There are other people as well. But it will not be easy to learn it. Takes time and it can be hard if you do it alone. Ponder well the risks, and surround yourself with likeminded people.
@@BIMvoice Thank you and thanks for the reminder! I will stick with SketchUp for now but will slowly learn how to use BlenderBim. Hope I can use is as well as IfcArchitect
I'm glad to see that I was already following all the channels mentioned in the video 😁

@@antbozz Yes, and it's getting better and better everyday :)
@@antbozz Great to hear you write your thesis on IDS!
What job are you aiming for afterwards?

I need to work on a small scale project (two storey house), can I use blender bim?

@@JoorneyShoot In the meantime, learn to export as good as possible models from Sketchup to IFC. That will help you a ton.
@@BIMvoice I'll be sure to remember that, thanks a lot!
