    I’m from an electrical engineering background but I’m really interested in 3D modelling and wanted to know if I would be able to pick up BIM as a start.

    I would like to know if someone with building degree can be accepted to study BIM. Must it be architects? Can a building technology student offer BIM?

      Myself and a couple of colleagues (all licensed Architects) teach beginning and advanced BIM (Revit) at Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, NE (U.S.) and have a variety of students from different programs (Construction, Game Design, Interior Design, Architecture, and MEP). Check out your local schools to see what is offered.

      I’m also not an architect nor civil engineer but I’m interested in building design and construction. Planning to start construction of my house. To study design and BIM what softwares should I start with? I want to design a villa of my own using the software and I also want to manage use of resources, and construction schedules. I want to eventually use this knowledge to start a construction company or housing projects in the future

      Assembly work of revit is very good. Also, the number of pre-made models is very huge in revit.

      @@rajendrameena150 you work with ifc files anyway… bim wise.

    Do you think AI will take over?

    • @architech.network
      @architech.network  Год назад +4

      I think it will take over some of the time consuming things we do, but ultimately we will be collaborating with AI rather than it taking over.
