@@sixstringcity3931 Back in the late '70s, there was an article in one of the the Dayton, Ohio, newspapers, about a guy purchased a Grand Torino coupe from Hertz or one of the rental companies, and had it painted Cincinnati Bengals orange, with a black Starsky and Hutch stripe!! I was just a kid, so I don't remember if he put slots on it or not, but there was at least a black and white, half-tone, picture of it. I have also thought of dark green with white stripes, as those were my high school's colors.
Never saw the movie, but in the original TV show, Hutch drove a ratty beige or yellowish '74ish Custom 500, or perhaps Galaxie 500, four door sedan. Not an LTD for sure.
Fun coverage! My problem with remake films is that the period vehicles should for the most part, look pristine and that’s hard to do. My dad was a Ford mechanic in this era and I have fun childhood memories. Still have the 74 F250 4x4 my dad bought new along with a Torino Elite and 79 Bronco. They’re all time machines! Play some 70’s tunes and the childhood memories come back like a flood!!
One night in late 1981, 10th grade, I rode around with a friend, and another of his friends named Jim, in Jim's Torino Elite. It had originally been dark green with a black vinyl top, but was repainted black. It had a dark green pleather interior, slot mags, and loud exhaust - Sweet car! Probably a 400 or 351M - can't remember that part...
After finishing this episode, I am really in the mood to get one of those factory Starsky and Hutch Torinos!
Show us how it's done!!!😃
Always wanted one but forest green with white stripe I duno why

390 for 2wd
360 for 4wd
Every 4x4 owner claimed that there 360 was a 390.
Yup, most likely this truck was a 390 for sure
Awesome camper truck!... The closest thing I had to a red tomato was a 70s ford elite wish I still had it!
haha nice!

@@Alaska_Engineer Yes, thats very true for sure. The nice thing is to see them on the big screen with better definition.
