- Join us at the Bonnie & Clyde festival 2022. We see the town where they bought their last meal, the phone Texas Ranger Frank Hamer called from to let them know they had ended their crime spree. The museum, and the Death Spot where they met their end. A small parade and bank robbery re-enactment. Classic cars, parade, small town Americana. Filming locations for “highwaymen” Kevin Costner Woody Harrelson.

That's the only reason anyone ever got killed. Back then, they didn't try to take ya in unharmed lol They shot first, asked later. So...
Walking through the museums there and seeing the media coverage was just so crazy. They say we show too much but back then their dead bodies were in display both in media and in real life.
That tiny little almost ghost town is crazy. That's all they have going for them.

I'm from Indiana which is Dillinger country. Went to Dillinger Museum when it was in Nashville, Indiana and it was excellent. Is now in Crown Point where he escaped from jail with the wooden gun. Crown Point was going to have a Dillinger festival but decided it made it look like they would be glorifying a bank robber.
The stone is all shot up and the bronze plaque is gone as of July 2023

They were outlaws but they did leave us some good history.

I’m not sure. I know they did a re-creation of the ambush and filmed it.
@@RamblinTed a newspaper reporter gave Ted Hinton a 16mm camera, and that's how they got the footage of B&C immediately after they died.
I don't believe there were any Feds at the ambush.

Bonnie could barely walk at that time. She didn't take part in bank robberies, if she ever did, and had to be carried after a car wreck left her a cripple the last year they were on the run.
Yeah. I heard that battery acid burned her leg really bad and she was consuming a lot of pain killers.
