Hey Ike, I just ordered this press to work on my bowtech RPM 360. When you set the fingers do you set them on the ears that bowtech puts on the limbs or below them? Thanks for the help and keep up the great info that helps all of us at home bow mechanics!
Used my bowmaster on my PSE no problems. Got the Hoyt, got the split limb adapters, pressed my bow to get a catfish loop on there. Had my string in my hand and TWANGG. Cheap peice of shit slips and now the only things holding my bow together are the cables and my limb driver cord. I ordered the green press. I'll get it in a week.
If I change my octane strings in the insanity CPX, does that void my life time warranty on bow? I can't seem to keep a accurate poundage on nor nor timing with it. And every time the local Bowtech dealer tunes it, he focuses on the strings which fixes the issue. I have about 250 shots in that bow. Jbk an american small time custom string maker? I heard good things about giving small time shops business. What quality of string an I looking for when it comes to 80 pound limbs brother?
its the only way to work on the bow...(yoke tuning..cam timing..etc) you have to have to one if your gonna have your bow set up right or you can just let your local bow shop work on your stuff but I prefer doing my own work because of living far from the shop
280 adapters? Do you mean the Ultraflex adapters? No, the Ultraflex are ONLY to be used on the Defiant series bows, actually pressing any other Hoyt with them will void the warranty of the press if any damage occurs. (I emailed Hoyt and LCA about this since I bought a Helix, and now have an RX4 as well, and was told before I bought it that I needed the adapters for the rx4, which turns out to be wrong, the email reply I got back from LCA was the Defiant bows were the ONLY Hoyts where the adapters were needed. That's it, no others. Hoyt sent me the link to their list of approved presses
This is the best press out. I sold my apple archery press and bought 2 of these there awesome I have one at my house and one at my hunting property.
Thanks Ike for all your uploads im loveing it ... Keep the good work up.. Thanks Mate..

Will this press work for a Bowtech RPM 360?

Would that press work for a carbon defiant or a rx1 hoyt?
i just had my cables for my hoyt carbon element 2012 changed the guy who did it had one just like it..
how does that Honda Element in your intro do in the mud and snow?
Not bad. I have only had it stuck once and it was my fault. It does a lot better than my 2 wheel drive truck.
I am new to bow hunting and I was wondering what is the purpose of pressing the bow.

You can also install your peep, install string silencers, take or add twists to your string to align your peep. Change your boarding or cables.
How's the press holding up after all this time
I still use it at least once a week and it's still in great shape. Still loving it.
Will this press a Hoyt Helix without the 280 adapters? I'm looking to buy one but if I have to buy the adapters then I'll need to save a little more
It needs the adapters to press the bow safely. From what I am told it could damage to bow if pressed without the adapters.
