Awesome thank you for this, I've been looking for ages for that famous solo ! Do you have tabs by any chance? Do you know the original song for it? Anyway, wonderful cover !
Wonderfull presets, fits perfectly to this song. Are they default on the Korg TR, or did you edited them? Great playing also, I just can't stop listening.
Very good. I loved it. Let me ask u something: in the verse part, what sound are you using? I recognize the "ooo vocals" layer, is there a "synth string" too? Just loved this sound.
Very, very, very good cover bro!!! Can i ask a question? Can you tell me exactly wich korg TR is that? and the other keyboard? i want to buy a second synth and i like both yours!!! thanks :)
Wow, you are good!!! I loved this cover, keep 'em coming!! :) Could you tell me how you got that/those keyboard sound(s)? I'm working on some projects in Logic and I look for a Nightwish-like sound. Yours was perfect! Thanks man! (Ps. I've uploaded a Nightwish cover as well, if you want to check it out.. :P )
I think it's a kind of "Brass". The effect does not immediately return to the Strings in the chorus, this is an oversight of Tuomas, but it sounds even more interesting in this form
Hi man, unbelieveble cover. Amazing. I just got this korg tr keyboard, i am new to korg. How do u edit programs and put them somewhere where they r all together so when u play u switch easily between your own programs? And which programs do u use for string for exp and how did u edit that sound of the strings? If u could give any advice i would apreciate it, keep rocking 🤟
Hi Luka, thanks! My patches are always organised in the Combi banks, I deleted the entire B bank and used it to save my patches. The strings I used here are a recreation of the N364 ones but with with a biiit more high end. I built this particular sound from scratch. All sound here is coming from the TR, actually. N364 on this cover was acting as a midi controller.
@@vithormoraes Oh man tnx for the answer. I have to figure out how to edit programs to fit the nightwish sound, and how to save my own edited programs(voices) somewhere in one place where i can easily switch between them while playing. I used yamaha and it is very different so i am kinda lost...
Like for ever dream by nightwish, i need piano, pad and strings. So 3 programs, where do i save those 3 so that when i play the song i easily change between those 3 programs? I tried to use combi 127 init, combi but when i play all 3 programs come out at the same time when i press a key... So i am confused... I just want a "bank" with those 3 programs for ever dream.
@@lukalucijanic2012 Combis are for when you actually want to have more than one sound playing at the same time, or available at the same time. For example, a sound on the lower keys and another on the higher, or a sound on one keyboard and another on a second keyboard plugged with a midi cable (my case on this cover). What you have to do is create 3 individual Combi patches, each with one of those sounds. So a Combi patch for the piano, another for the pad, and another for the strings, one right next to each other, so you can easily switch between them. I find it easier to work with Combis because they are just combinations of programs, if you want to delete the ones that you know you won't use, it's fine, but if you delete programs (while reorganising them), they're gone forever. What I always did when I was paying live was to have them organised in a way that I always go "forward", so if ever dream requires like, Piano, then Pad, then Strings, then Pad, then Strings again, I'd write FIVE Combi patches with those in order. If you need any specific help hit me up on instagram or facebook. I'm Vithor Morares. :)
@@vithormoraes Oh, ok. Yeah that "forward" method seems ok i guess, it does sound like a ton of work.. 😅 Ok man tnx for the help, i really apreciate it, i will contact u if i need any more help, tnx again :) 🤟
Very epic cover... shame you took the Anette version though, her voice is to harsh for this song =/ Your sound is spot on however, and so is your playing :D
Omg that voice is so beautiful
Meh

The live version is very easy, but i like uses Samplers and overdubs!!!
Hey, where is that little video from that pops up with Tuomas Holopainne dancing on an Christmas show?!

Not my favorite Nightwish song but great as always!
It's not Tuomas ;) /watch?v=BQAKRw6mToA
He used melody from refrain as a keyboard solo.
String voice????
interessante.
uhuul arrasou nas descidas *o* me ensina? :D uhauha
