I have a question regarding the intro part where you switch from the fast rhythm to sustained chords while emppu plays his lead melody. Do you change the string sound or do you use the same one. And how do you switch from that flute sound to a synth on the lower keyboard when playing the outro? And also, when you switch between chords, do you use the sustain pedal? Also, do you have on tips on how to change sounds quickly while playing a song. Sometimes I struggle with this.

For the last Question when youre using a Korg Keyboard you can switch between Sounds with 10 Sec Hold Option or with a Switch Pedal just place the sounds in Order - for Example with a Switch Pedal: Strings on A000 - Lead on A001 - Strings A002 etc. Place the Sounds in the order you need it for the Track. - Or with the 10 Sec. Hold Option Just place the Sounds between for example A000 and A009 and switch the the Numpad thats the Option I use with my Korg TritonLE

Great video! :-) Have you done any other settings on your N364, in adition to the sound you use?

      Thank you :)
No, it's pretty much a standard N364 without big custom settings or patches.

I hope you´ll make similar videos of other songs from the Oceanborn album. How about "Gethsemane", "Moondance" or "The Riddler"? :-)

      +Julien.r75 Thank you!
The Korg N364 is actually the keyboard from beginning, the first two albums were made completely on it and you find some characteristic early Nightwish sounds on it. Tuomas uses the N364 still live, after twenty years, because of the special Strings sounds.
So, the N364 is the best choice if you want to cover "old" Nightwish stuff.
Tip: look also for Korg X5(D) or Korg N5, they all have the same sound engine and therefore the same sounds (and are maybe a bit cheaper).
For newer Nightwish stuff, the Korg Triton, Korg Triton (Le), Korg Karma or Korg TR are a better choice, because they have better sounds and more abilities for layering, working on the sounds and stuff like that.
Tuomas also uses the Korg Karma live as third keyboard (on his left side).

+abtnormal if i can buy something more expensive, does the korg krome also good for play old and recent nightwish song ?

+Julien.r75 Yea, it should be good for that, especially for the newer songs. The Krome is the successor of the M50 I use besides the N364 and has some pretty good and realistic sounds, ways better than the N364 (of course, it was released like 14 years after it).
But I would recommend you trying the Krome before you buy it, because the keybed is not the best (similiar to the keybed of the M50).
If you make a good catch at eBay or sites like that, you could also think about getting a N364/N5/X5(D) and a Korg Triton (Le). In Germany they're really cheap, not more than 600 Euros for both devices together. Having two keyboards simplifies a lot of parts, especially for Nightwish cause of the change between Strings and other sounds.
But that's up to you, the Krome is a really good keyboard.
Are you a beginner or have you already played songs on keyboard/synthesizer?

+abtnormal i think i will test the krome because i heard it has good piano sound and i also play piano ...
i ve played piano for 3,5 years .
about nw i play ever dream, nemo, last of the wilds, high hopes, last ride of the day, i want my tears back, ghost love score, phantom of the opera, amaranth, higher than hope, angel fall first ....that i play on a digital piano with 1 strings sound so thats for this reason im looking for a workstations :)

+Julien.r75 Ah, then you probably should take the 88-key-version of the Krome, this version also hasn't the problems with the keybed, which is a bit "shaky" in the 61- and 73-key-version. And as I remember right, the Krome has the Grand Piano sounds of the Kronos, which should be excellent.
That's a pretty awesome lineup, so far I've only played Ever Dram, Ghost Love Score and Amaranth out of these.
Yea, then every workstation of the last like 20 years should be an improvement :)
