I am a seasoned carrier and we have pulled our trucks out of amazon... they have short us pay for accessrerials since they switch over to short term contracts back in October of 2022... Accesserials are the pay for the pallet jacks we are REQUIRED to purchase, load and unload, straps etc. that we have to use and do... long story short we have been moving freight for amazon for 7 yrs. and this didn't start until they started the short term contracts... We have filed a lawsuit against them in the amount of closed to $15,000... your suposed to get base pay+ fuel surcharges+ accesserials... CHECK YOUR INVOICES!!!

If they do drop your performance score due to traffic, as long as you made it to CLT9 on time, you can win the dispute using the traffic option in the dispute reasons. I just had to do the same thing two weeks ago. Amazon says that as long as you make it to your arrival facility on time, every stop afterward due to traffic is uncontrollable. The only one Amazon considers controllable is your facility arrival.

I think they do this because They can give 'contracted' truck work that has been rejected/canceled by carrier or no-call-no-show - I believed contracted trucks are there to just make sure they have a truck committed in case something goes wrong & they won't to pay too much over what they would like to pay to get someone to book it from Spot Load board for 3times what it normally pays when it's getting too close to scheduled pick-up. Also they do this trick too, put load on spot load board at a high price, have someone book it, then cancel that spot load when Amazon can give it to a contracted truck for less @@BiggVic

I drive the tractor trailer side of Amazon from time to time. I decided never to book a short term contract, nor a post-a-truck. With the rates in the tank, and no idea what would come, nor when it would come, I saw it as an extremely easy way for me to lose money. No thanks. Show me the whole deal first, and then I’ll decide if it’s worth the effort.
