    ATTENTION TRUCKERS::: I wanted to share a message with you - perhaps I should have started out with this. Although many of you don't like RV'er in the public travel stops, the problem is only going to get worse - much worse. The RV industry is growing incredibly fast with nearly 400,000 RV's being built each year. Most campgrounds are full - on the east coast you need to schedule a campground out nearly a year.
    Here are a few other thoughts going through RV'er's heads and why they use and stay at the fuel stations:
    - They have 100 gallon tanks too. Filling up on the "car side" takes way too long, not to mention it's often much too tight to reasonably get a 40 foot bus through there.
    - They don't feel comfortable pulling off on an exit in the middle of nowhere to sleep on the side of the road. They have their family with them and aren't comfortable sleeping roadside (though many others don't have that problem).
    - They just bought 100 gallons of gas too. They're paying for the concrete too and want to use it.
    - Although truckers have the limitations of driving hours and logs (which many people don't realize or fully understand), Rv'er's also have some limitations. It's not easy just pulling off somewhere and parking 40 feet of coach plus a tow vehicle. Walmart doesn't want them, Home Depot doesn't want them, rest areas are quick to boot them if they hang around too long, neighborhoods don't want them, and it's hard to know what parts of town are safe enough to park in. I literally had a cop escort me off a Walmart property in Charlotte, NC, advising me that if I want my wheels and tow vehicle in the morning I need to park somewhere else.
    - No, RV'er's can't just plan out everywhere they're going to stay ahead of time. Many campgrounds are full, or they have operating hours and if the Rv'er is delayed at all, they can't check in after a certain time (6pm, etc.).
    For me, finding a place to park had become incredibly difficult. It took a LOT of the fun out of it. I never slept well - always waiting for the lights or the knock on the door asking me to leave. So before you find yourself hating RV'er's, understand they have their own issues and limitations. Last: They won't appreciate that you want them to move on so you can make money. They worked their whole life to have this vacation, and your job doesn't trump their lifetime reward. Don't get mad at me - I'm just the messenger. This is what many think.

      While I dont have a rv at all. I agree with everything you said here. The truckers being jerks. And saying park else where. Seem to froget that 40+ ft class a with a towed car or enclosed trailer. If your a race team is almost as long or just as long as they are. I'm sure the truck stop whould love to have a 50-70 foot + long rv/trailer combo parked in front takeing up 8-12 spots.
      When it comes to fueling they all hold 100+ gallons of diesel as well and back to the size. You could say squeezing a class a and trailer in to to auto pumps is probbly as easy as mr trucker squeezing in there. .... God bless and hope to own a beautiful rig like that some day

      Many of your larger Pilot/Flying J truck stops have separate RV parking. An RV can also park in the car section if there is adequate space when a trucker can't. As a retired trucker I can tell you I have driven an extra hour and as many as five different places before finding a place to park. There is a serious shortage of truck parking and it started way before the RV explosion. You are just adding to an existing problem.
      At a truck stop there are many rookie drivers or drivers coming in late at night. There is a high risk of getting hit. In 20 years I've been hit 6 times by someone backing into me and every single one tried to run but they don't get far.
      At truck stops many times you deal with panhandlers. You deal with a noisy truck beside you. You deal with a urine soaked parking lot. Truck stops thin out during the day and from like 4pm to 8am they are packed full. As a RVer now I thoroughly plan my trips so I usually don't have an issue. Other alternatives include Wal-Mart, Rest Areas, on ramps in certain states and my favorite is freecampsites.net. I'll find suitable free camping enroute that can accommodate a Class A.

      I think it goes without saying but apparently it doesn't so here it is, TRUCKERS DO NOT OWN THE ROAD OR THE RUCK STOPS. I have spent to many years fighting for your freedom and mine to have some trucker tell me that after spending the same $400 to fuel my rig, I can't overnight in the parking lot. GET BENT. (Good video by the way)

    I want to thank you on behalf of all my fellow "professional" truck drivers for putting this out for all the other RV'ers to see. Pulling forward right after your done fueling and being thoughtful when you park will get you a long way!
    I'd like to add that using oil-resistant gloves is something you should also think about doing when handling the lines & nozzles. Doing a good walk around of your vehicle looking for possible problems (inspection) is something all commercial drivers are required to do and I would advise any one who drives one of these big RV's to do it every time your supposed to by law. At a minimum you should check all lights the engine and your tires/wheels, a Class A & B vehicle is required to do this by law. Be safe and have fun!

    I’m looking at what I want to get in the future. It’s funny to say but I’m a trucker and when I retire , I’d like to get a massive motorhome to travel the country and stay in 80 degrees all the time.

I think the road is going to fill with RV'ers they all need places to park those things.

    In the 10 years I have been fueling diesel motor homes at truck stops, no trucker has EVER waited for me to get out of his or her way. In the same time period, I have lost count of the number of times I have pulled up to a pump with a truck pulled forward, gone in to run my card, fill up diesel, pull forward to fill DEF, gone back inside to pay, returned to the motor home, made a sandwich, ate it, and STILL waited another 10 minutes for the driver to come back to his truck with a shopping bag, a to go container, and wet hair.
    Manners go both ways.

    The reason some truck stops do not except your normal debit/credit card is because the maximum allowed on those cars are usually around $150 and the truck stops try to open them up to around $300 for most semis. Those cards will work but you have to go inside and let them authorize it manually. If you are traveling a lot with your RV the best things is for you to sign up for a fleet card or pick your favorite truck stop and sign up for one of their gas/diesel cards.

  • @ClintChance
    @ClintChance 6 лет назад +12

    Sir as a truck driver I thank you. Proper etiquette is a blessing! However I want to note that if you are going inside for anything other than a receipt go take a parking spot because I myself can fuel and dash in 5-10 minutes and don't want to wait for you to come back. But truth be told, other drivers are taking their 30 minute break on the pumps and they get a good ragchewing. As far as shutting down, along with most all the other comments, it's best not to shut down at a truck stop unless you absolutely have too. They get full enough as it is and when we are down to our last five minutes on that wonderful eld it really brings folks to a boiling point! But all in all great vid, and thank you!!

    Update: I mentioned a timeframe of 10 to 15 minutes while holding at the line after pulling out. That was just my observation based on an awful lot of fill ups. However, it is a best practice to get out of the way as soon as possible. Generally it's best just to grab the receipt and go if required. So I agree with the comments here - this is meant to be a fill-and-go for truckers, so it's important to not impede them.

    • @andrewarmstrong7310
      @andrewarmstrong7310 6 лет назад +6

      Well, I was thinking 10-15 minutes after you cleared the fuel island. That is the common courtesy in the industry. That way you can free the fuel island up and go get something to eat drink and move on. Anything longer it is best to go park and do what you got to do. For us, that usually means a bathroom break, sit-down meal and or shower. One last point always lock your door!

I’ve made some RV friends on the road even seen some awesome race cars crews, only conflict I’ve ever had with someone in a RV was how fast he was traveling in a truck stop general rule of thumb is to keep it under 10mph once on the lot

    Great video. When filling up I was in and out as fast as I could. Go in, give them my CC, fuel up, pull forward, go in, pay and get out of the way. Had an older truck so no DEF. Never had a truck driver have to wait much for me. Did have to wait several times for the truck driver in front of me who went in for a meal or something else. We always parked in the back forty. Only did so to use the bathroom in the trailer. To eat a sandwich around 12 noon and head out. Never hogged a spot overnight. Same in rest areas. In and out. Have a toilet in the 5th wheel trailer, walk around, check tires and hubs with my laser temp gauge. Eat a sandwich around 12 noon and head out. In twelve years of full-time RVing never had any problems with truck drivers in fuel stops or rest areas.

      Nolan B . as a truck driver a lot of us hate it when other drivers do that in fuel station. some go in and eat, try to get a quick shower or taking their 30 minute break. some just don't consider others at all. The quality of truck drivers now days are bad and this is coming from someone who is a over the road trucker.

  • @swp466

    Not just for RVs. When I owned my F350, I held 110 gallons of fuel. When I would fill up, it was 100 gallons at a time. If there weren't truck stops around, that would turn into a 20 minute fill-up (at a typical 5 gallons/minute rate of car pumps). At the truck pumps, I could knock that out in about 5 minutes, then pull forward and go in and pay. Of course, as it came from the factory, my truck had a restrictor plate in the filler neck. Removed the neck, cut out the plate and reinstalled -- no problem taking fuel at 20 gallons/minute after that.

    You are absolutely right - gas stations make more profit with selling booze, cigarettes and candies than with fuel. They are unhappy if people swipe their card, fill up and leave. That's why at some places like this truck stop you have to go through this ridiculous procedure of going back and forth between the pump and the store.

    I pull a large trailer with a diesel truck (super duty type). Please let your viewers know that truck-diesel nozzles meant for the "big rigs" are too wide to fit into the filler tube of a regular diesel truck. Your only option may be at the regular fueling station along with other cars. This can be a challenge for larger travel trailers and 5ers. There are sometimes a special fill station in the truck area that has the smaller consumer-type nozzle. It may be the closest pump to the store. It's always a challenge to say the least.

    An interesting note based on the comments about Rv'ers using truck stops:
    One of the growing challenges of the RV industry is that lack of places to take an RV. They sell 400,000 RV's each year, but how many campgrounds are built during the same period? Companies like Walmart, Home Depot, and Cracker Barrel - while once very friendly to the RV community - have begun to crack down on overnight stays. My experience in the last 6 months is nothing like the ease it has been before then.
    Anyone else have an opinion? What are you seeing out there? The reason I bring this up is because if truck stops are busy today, just wait: when Walmart doesn't allow us to stop there, what else can we do? I'm interested in others thoughts!

      I agree whole heartedly, while yes, there are many campgrounds throughout America, they often are full during peak season, which greatly impacts our ability to get the required rest in order to drive safely. We very much appreciate the privilege of a comfortable safe place to park. We also have noticed a growing trend of reluctance
      at overnight parking at businesses which once welcomed us. Perhaps because of the increasing numbers, which will not change this growing trend is here to stay. Good manners and proper etiquette must prevail!

      Many people parking in Walmart and other once friendly to RVers have changed their attitude due to the disrespect given to their properties. I’ve seen it and heard it many times. In only takes a few leaving trash, staying for more than a night or two or doing damages to change the perspective. I’ve seen where someone dumped their holding tank and left. Some have filled the trash cans till they overflowed and left garbage on the ground. It only takes a few to make it bad for the rest.

      I have to agree with the other comments about the inconsiderate, I'm the only person in the world, pigs, that have no respect for anything including themselves. These are the people who run their generators all night. Turn their stereos up as loud they can go. Throw their trash where ever they want and ruin a good thing for the rest of us who do the right thing. It is infuriating to me that such a small minority of rvers can have such huge impact on what was once such a wonderful experience and lifestyle. As a trucker there is very limited parking for trucks around the country. Yes you can pull in with your rv/camper but keep in mind that trucks need to park. Often there is “rv” parking around by the car parking we appreciate it if you can get into those. Otherwise just be courteous, if you’re traveling with a buddy and you both have half ton trucks with travel trailers (like one one they pull their diesel pusher next to) share the spot. You can usually pull up to the end and your buddy can pull in behind you so you’re only taking up 1 spot with your 2 rigs as long as they fit.
    Sometimes you can even find where there is space eking the edges where you can parallel park along the curb, just not where trucks have to go around a corner. In that case feel free to park facing a direction that your driver side is against the curb and you can open your slide out over the grass where it won’t be in anyone’s way.

  • @allens7476
    @allens7476 6 лет назад +5

    First problem, my filler was too small for the giant Truck stop hose. I guess the maker knew it couldn't vent fast enough.
    Second problem, my filler was on the curb side, so the truck pumps had the master pump on the wrong side. You have to take the nozzle, lay it on the ground, then use the slave on the curb side and so you can't read the pump meter.
    I was forced to use the "Auto Diesel" pumps at the regular gas pumps. You learn to not pull into pumps perpendicular to the store or else you get blocked by cars at the store. Backing up with a trailer is not easy at a fueling stop, especially solo.
    I sought out Flying J's which always have a RV island.

      Allen S don’t feel too sad , for years GM pickups had their DEF filler under the hood, on the curb side, but the nozzle couldn’t fit between the hood and filler hole anyway. GM stands for Great Mayhem, don’t you think? They fixed it on 2019 models at least.

    What are your feelings about school buses converted into RV’s that park in Love’s big rig parking areas and fuel up on the truck side of the station? I don’t have my bus yet (40’ er) but will be towing my car and want to avoid difficulties or misunderstandings when possible. Just as a side note: I’ve read that many/most Walmart’s won’t allow buses or RV’s to park on their lots any more. Is this also true for truckers? Also, many RV parks won’t allow converted buses (Skoolies) to park there either. Why is this?

    We had a Gasser and getting Diesel is so much more nice. Now it is dirtier but I like being in the truck lanes and not dealing with all the cars and people mocing and running around. The truckers know their stuff. It is tricky filling up the Diesel because it foams like crazy.

    I have the utmost respect for the sacrifices truckers make for this job and their families' sacrifices. I grew up with a few guys whose dads were truckers. It's not an easy life. I understand how much regulation there is for truckers and that they are pushing to make their miles and hours. Some people are just going to not like anyone else in their space. Comes with all walks of life. I think if we all just take a moment to talk to one another instead of constantly throwing a fit and either talking down to someone or being defensive at the drop of a hat, we could make things work. Even the biggest RVs have no more than 150 gallons of fuel, unless I've missed a few outliers. An RV shouldn't take long to fill and get out of the way. Just respect what the truckers are doing.

    Do you really have a speed cam detector in the windshield? In an RV?

    • @RVMasters
      @RVMasters  6 лет назад +3

      I was wondering when someone would say something! Lol. Yes, I have one, but not for the reasons you might think. I travel a LOT of back country roads, and the speed limits can be all over the place. They're not always posted either, in the small towns across America. This helps me keep my speed in check when it gets down to 25 mph or 35 mph because it can track what the speed limit is for where I'm at. So whether there's a sign or not, or if I missed it, the unit tells me the speed limit for where I am. So that's helpful!

The DPF is a filter... after it starts to clog the engine goes through a 'regen' where it injects extra fuel to heat the filter up and burn off the carbon. The DEF fluid is injected into the exhaust ahead of the catalyzer (SCF, Selective Catalytic Reduction), the chemical reaction gets rid of the NOx smog-inducing pollutants.

    This RV appears to have a poor setup for filling the DEF. If you have to fill it with a jug, is there enough clearance above to tip it up? Note the cover over the DEF nozzle and hose -- because the space is heated in the winter, the fluid may freeze at temps below -10°C.

      Fuel is in front because of the weight..engine is in rear on his rig so because DEF freezes in winter time you want that tank close to the engine closer to engine means less distance to pump DEF..lessens chance of line freezes..once DEF freezes or the lines freeze the engine (diesel) goes into limp mode..way down on power..thanks be to our Masters GOVment Masters..

    The DEF nozzle has a magnetic trigger in it to make it pump. What I do at work to trucks when they don’t pump is use a magnet that slips over the nozzle so you can fill up a tank or a jug without a magnet in the actual tank being needed.

  • @jaysmith1408

    Both Diesel and DEF pumps have auto shutoffs. If this RV is like our trucks, diesel won't be full, you have to slowly top it off, diesel likes to foam, bubble and slosh. DEF is almost completely full when it shuts off however. Maybe an extra click or two, but not that important.
    As for capacities for DEF, depending on spec of truck (i assume RV's have unusually large def tanks) it will last until a second fuelling. However if you're the absent minded type, or get out into the wilderness, it would be best to fill DEF with every fuelling when available (such as truck stop, since you're there anyways) in case you need diesel at a small station that doesn't have any DEF at pump (far, far cheaper than in the bottles)
    As well, as a regional driver, I don't complain if you're parking your RV in a truck lane if it's a full sized RV. Your Econoline van will piss a whole bunch of road drivers off if it's in a 90 foot space. If you use a pull through parking lane, move all the way up, so a bobtail or straight truck can get all comfy up behind you in the same space. also word of advice, leave clearance lights on when stopped, mandatory at night. In parking lots or spaces, it makes the vehicle much easier to see, especially when hidden in parking slots.

    For those who said "it's called a truck stop for a reason" re-read the signs. Both Flying Js and Loves are no longer called "truck-stops" but "Travel Centers." They cater to RVers as well as truckers. I have relatives and close friends who are/were OTR drivers. My uncle would say "get out and offer to help a Diesel RVer instead of complaining". A couple hints as a retired trucker. You can frequent one of the major chains and obtain their fuel card for a discount. All the major truck stops offer fuel reward cards, get one. Not only do you get a free shower with every 50 gallons you build points which you can buy food and store merchandise.
    When fueling it's a good idea to wear gloves. If you fuel with diesel your hands tend to get dirty.
    When walking in a truck stop parking lot always square off your route. Never walk shortcut angles. Many drivers have been run over in the past. Take it seriously. Walking the edges makes you safer. When walking in front of trucks at the fuel island always make eye contact with the driver in the truck. Never assume he sees you.
    Loves are great truck stops but they are not the biggest. I prefer Pilot/Flying J. TA and Petro are other big chains.
    If you are parking overnight some spots are safer than others. Drivers always back from the drivers side. The passenger side of their trailer is their blind side so keep that in mind. Ideally the back row end spot to the right is the safest spot. Parking beside an island or curb is safer. Don't hide in the back of the spot. Favor the front so drivers can see you but not too much you make their backing difficult.
    Last if you look usually in the bathroom hallway area you'll see the truck stop's fuel directory hanging on the wall. Grab you a free one to help find future truck stops or you can use apps if you prefer. Happy travels.

    Ok, it's time for me to weigh in! Yes, you CAN back up with a tow bar - I'm just not going to teach it as a company. It depends on your skill, technique, vehicle, and kind of tow bar. Generally speaking, if you don't do it right, you can do a tremendous amount of damage, including: bending the tow bar, transmission issues depending on your setup, and most common is the front wheels of the tow vehicle jerking hard to the side and dragging horribly as your monster pushes that little thing down the road.
    If you're going to do it, learn the technique! But I"m not gonna tell you how.... :)
    Also, regarding truckers vs Rv'ers: It's true that these truck stops really belong to the truckers. This is their home away from home and they've driven a long way to get to this one stop. Remember, they're limited by hours and logs, so they can't always just drive down the road another hour for the next truckstop.
    I believe strongly in being respectful to them and staying out of their way. They've developed a dislike for RV'ers for 2 main reasons: RV'ers don't know how to drive, and RV'ers don't know or follow rules of etiquette. Don't be that person! Get trained!

      I am a old truck driver that now drives a desk. I’ve had a bumper pull for 30 years and am looking at a pre 2007 pusher. Without emissions junk. To be honest, an rv in a truck stop or rest area irritated me. Especially if I had to go down the road. I never retaliate if they were parked only taking up one spot. When tip outs became a thing, it would take up part of a second spot. I would get within an inch or two, then turn my reefer on continuous. I could also cock the tractor over to make it very difficult to leave, especially if I was parked on their left side. I agree that it was rude and immature. But, so was taking up two spots. I have pulled my camp trailer many miles and have never slept in a truck stop or rest area. A helpful hint is, campers and motor homes can park in the car area. If you are going to stop for a short time, park there and that way you aren’t taking up a spot. Drivers have to take a 30 minute break after 8 hours of driving and 10 off after 11 hours of driving or 14 hours of on duty. These are federally mandated and if a driver goes beyond that, they not only can be fined, they can accrue points on their CDL, as well be shut down for 10 hours at a weight station. Which may not have rest rooms. I’m sure that I will receive thumbs down and I’m okay with criticism. Your opinion means as much as mine does. Enjoy your day.

    I'm a truck driver and I think the best solution is for the truck stops to start making more RV parking spaces specifically for rvers that way everyone wins. The problem with RV or getting into truckers parking places you guys don't get tickets for being illegal on your logs but I do understand when you drive a piece of equipment that is as big as they are you guys need parking to hopefully truck stops will come up with a plan

    Great advise. 5 to 10 minutes would be more accurate. However if parking is available, just go park. Remember the drivers are working and have limited time. However a lot of truck drivers have less courtesy than you

      Scott Myers who fucking cares, the rest of us work too! Do truck drivers give a fuck about us when they lane hog on a freeway...you know what I mean, plugging the passing lane while going up hill because the rig in the driving lane can only pull the fucking hill 1 mph slower than they are.
      So fuck them!!

    I agree with the pro drivers and RVers. Truck stop are nasty places to fuel. Always have a pair of NON leather gloves. Diesel will wick into leather and make your hands stink. Also, DEF is caustic. You don’t want a chemical burn.
    Agreed, get your receipt and move to park area or head down road. Waiting for the person in front of you is a PITA. And if it’s a travel center, what person doesn’t like to look around? People shop. Meanwhile a driver trying to hot foot out of there is losing their cool by being blocked in.
    Thanks for the vid, safe travels to all!

    I'm sure some truckers assume we have no respect for truck stop etiquette. When we fill up with DEF we have no choice but to go in from the wrong direction as the DEF fill is on the passenger side of the rig. I'm sure the manufacturer got plenty of feedback as Entegra put duel DEF fill in the next model model year. We try to get in and out as fast as possible.

    We have a 2000 model diesel pusher with a smaller fuel neck. This proves to be difficult with a small neck if you are going to find one. The small neck diesel dispenser will be the pump closer to the building. At least that has been our experience.

      Just go into any "gas station" that also has diesel pumps for pickups and all the other diesel powered smaller vehicles, and the nozzles are the very same as the gasoline dispenser nozzles, only with a Green rubberized handle cover, instead of Black for the gasoline nozzles.

    Have to open my one wall slide (30feet long), there is less then 12" inside to move to the bed.. So something has to open or I cant make it to the bed. My wife is 5' 0" tall and she cant even get to the bathroom or bed without one of the 2 sides being open.

    A few things you need to add, especially for the newbie; first off, fuel stations are filthy; wear gloves when you use the fuel nozzle and always have an extra pair of shoes you can slip on at the door to walk out on the concrete with. Grease, diesel and whatnot everywhere! Second; Most diesel pushers have twin tanks and I fill from both sides at the same time. Truck drivers don't want to wait on your inability to dispense the fuel like you should. I had a 100 gal fuel tank on each side and could be in an out as fast as the truckers could. The fuel card is the answer for the trips in and out. If you have a Good Sam card, they are supposed to work at Pilot's, but that hasn't happened yet for me. You will also find that no matter how well you manage your time at the truck stop, there are truckers who don't like that fact that you are tooling down the road at your leisure and they are working and you are holding them up. Unless I am just so tired I can't go any further, I never stay at a truck stop. It's for those drivers that have to stop and sleep. Lastly, lock you door when you leave your rig!

    • @RVMasters
      @RVMasters  6 лет назад +5

      Those are all really great points! I also didn't show that you're also supposed to have some diesel fuel cleanup spread for diesel spills (it kinda looks like cat litter).
      It's also true that you can pump diesel on both sides in most diesel pushers. However, at least with my rig, I can't leave the pump unattended because of the way the angle is - it sprays out way before it auto stops. So when I dual fuel I have to calculate how much I need and stop one of the sides before I get to 80%, then get to the other side. That's just my experience.

      Exactly, imagine if it were the other way and truckers pulled into RV camping spots. RVers would be irate. Drove commercially for over 25 years, I still have my CDL. I now pull a 38’ trailer. Being respectful goes a long ways and it goes both ways. As an RVer most don’t have a schedule anything like a trucker. You aren’t being watched and timed by a device required by law. You can park in many places including Walmart’s parking lots. Many Walmart lots are off limits to truckers. Most RVers are either vacationing, retired or working a schedule more forgiving than a truckers schedule.

      My Good Sam card works at Flying J and Pilot. It also helps to have a Fly J/Pilot RV rewards card. It lets you pay at the pump. The RV Rewards Card is free. The reward card authorizes the pump .Fly J / Pilot RV Rewards card when used with a Good Sam Fuel card, gets you a 6 cent per gal. discount.

      I have to agree with Joe's statement about the fuel stations being filthy! I had an encounter at a small gas station that had the diesel pumps behind the building for semi's and RV's to get get fuel, well there was standing water (which happened to be mixed with diesel) and I went to step over the puddle, slipped, fell on my ass, covered the back of my clothes in the mixture of gravel, water, diesel and cut my hand! I was not happy, especially when i had to go in and pay for the fuel covered in crap! The foreigners running the station never said a WORD as i went to their disgusting bathroom to attempt to clean up (which was about as dirty as the outside!) nor when i payed and told them what happened! Not a "I'm Sorry" or anything! After that i learned to only buy fuel at well known and clean stations!
      I use a Fuel Card that i signed up for thru the Gas Buddy app. Gives me a discount when making fuel purchases and it ties to my bank account. One thing that threw me off when using the card at a large truck stop was that the pump asked if the fuel was for the "tractor" say YES! Trucks as we call them are also known as Tractors in the Trucking World.
      Also, if you don't have an RV with a generator (I pull a 41' Coachmen Chaparral 5th wheel & no generator behind my F-350 Diesel) then it is much more comfortable to find a KOA along your route. They always have a spot or two for travelers that come in after hours (or dark), just fill out the registration slip and put some cash in the envelope into the night deposit.

      Todd Davis the reason the pump asks if the fuel is for the tractor semi is because the fuel for refer units is taxed less.
