ANDREW: While I understood this was outdoor use only, I would suggest adding that caveat to the other videos you created providing instructions. Just some CYA advice. That aside, I sure wish you were my neighbor!!. I'd come up with 100 excuses in your video for things that people might want to see more about ... and convince you that we needed to build another unit in order to video it. 🙂 You're just incredibly talented. Great work dude. Great great work.
Looks identical to Andrews station with different materials in some places.😎😎 im watchin too many videos. This is the first and best wok station build i watched then lost track from watching so many.
I'd buy one in a heartbeat, also. Problem is, I don't think he could compete with those prices. This looks extremely labor intensive, plus the cost of all that stainless and other materials. He'd have to charge a lot of money to make it worth his while, unless he just REALLY enjoys fabricating, I guess.
Funny I responded to this 3 years ago seeking info but probably more like 4 years ago cause in the intrim I built me a wok station using mild steel to frame out and accept 2 burner boxes with room for one more, one with 100,000 btu jet burner and the other 200,000 btu I painted the frame with high temp stove paint plus added castor wheels as well, the burner boxes and jets I used are from Tejas Smokers out of Texas and I can tell you it's a gas hog and will burn your food in a heart beat so you really have to be on top of what you're doing. Both are capable of throwing a two foot high flame but when cooking a meal its rare I go past half open on either valve. This video demonstrates a nice build with stainless but it can be done with mild steel if you don't mind the extra maintenance and the extra expense of buying already built burner boxes.
Thank you very much for the build video it turn out really nice, I have looked at some other premade wok stations and they are really up there in price, this will be very helpful for me to build me one.
1. Why do you need a high pressure regulator if you are only using 1 to 2 pounds? 2. Can your igniter take the heat? It looks like the flame is right on it all the time. I am curious how this has held up.
Hi can i just buy one from you 😅Looks good but the wok sits to low to flip food and get the wok hai I think. But everything else is perfect. Love your work. Interested $
Just bought a professional wok station for a little over $100 at taobao. Comes with running tap, blower for gas efficiency, and a proper cast iron wok saddle. 100K BTU. Heads up for those who wanna save some time, money and labor.
detail.tmall.com/item.htm?spm=a230r.1.14.20.ed6679b1TP1PIy&id=599550695449&ns=1&abbucket=5 I got mine for about less than USD200 shipped to my country. They get up to 150K BTU easily. At full blast your wok bottom will literally glow red hot in less than a minute. Get one with a blower (for higher BTU and efficiency) and faucet tap with water container. The difference of these with top of the line commercial high pressure burner stoves is that the latter's cradle comes insulated with some kind of ceramic/concrete insulation wall that goes all the way down to the burner itself. They also use thicker steel for the body and comes with at least two stations. Not all at needed if you're planning to use in your backyard. You can pay with your card in Taobao and set it up to ship to your country but you need to do it through the mobile app. Also everything is in Chinese so you may need a friend to help you with the address set up, sea freight option and all that.
Please, what is the measurement from top of schedule 40 burner tube to bottom of wok?? Or measurement from bottom rails on stand where burner pipe is mounted, to top of stainless ring, that the wok sits on?? Thank You!! 😁😁😁🏁🏁🏁
Just a single burner unless you're using in a restaurant. I would recommend using an induction or any low btu stove for your slow cook work, just makes more economical sense.
I don't understand why nobody sells a decent commercial version of this. You can buy a gas grill at Walmart for $250, but there's nothing comparably priced on the market for cooking outside with a wok.
They do. check out King Kooker make some cheap woks on a stand or if you want, you can go to a real commercial mfg. , they have them range from around $500 on up depending on how many burners, what other kinds of features. I personally would just get a cheaper one OR just go all out and get one that's about $3500 and it has the trough, etc. etc. Just type in commercial wok burners or wok stations and you'll see plenty of products on the market at various price points, features, etc.

That's just slicker than snot on a door knob! Good job sir!
Great job I’ll be building mine very soon I purchased a jet burner 32 jet

I suggest frame support at the casters…which can also serve as a holder for your fuel source or an enclosed cabinet for storage.
Man you could seriously sell these on eBay! Commercial ones cost 500 to 1000 + ! I need one! Great video!

You have something there you start selling too. Marvelous.
Really excellent build. Thanks for sharing!
I am going to build a wok this summer.... I will pay a welder locally, but i am going to make one for sure!!!

Thanks for sharing this information it’s much appreciated.

How did you determine how far to make the flame from your wok? I am about to build the same. Thanks for the video!
Thanks you
Thanks for the video..very informative! Good job, man.
THANK YOU FOR SHARE THIS VIDEO, NITE, EXPLICIT, AND PROFESSIONAL. (when you decide made and sell you have on me a customer)

The left side wind guard enclosure should be optional or lower.
It interferes w/cooking.
that quick connect you have, is it one of those ones used for air compressors?
Wanna buy it.
Buy good bits and slow that drill down to a crawl and you go right through 304. Guaranteed!
Great job! What do you recommend hole size for natural gas?
do you have videos how to make a double wok burner
You think you can make one with natural gas ?
Great video. If you think about selling let me know
I would like to purchase one if you are selling..
Thanks
when cooking with a wok do you generally only have one burner station? Would a double burner station make sense? I've never done wok style cooking.
a double one would come in handy when using one of them to boil or fry then transferring to the wok used to stir-fry

Wok Hei!!
nice, is this for sale? i like to buy it.
Nice, but the height should be higher.
Interested in building one for me? Love to buy one from you!
Do you have the dement-ions 😂 did you buy full sheets of stainless steel $$
How much did it cost just in stainless steel?
I got my stainless from restaurant equipment salvage yard...
Great video. For natural gas, what is the size of the hole should be?
Where did you get the wok Andrew, so hard to find a good one?
MrFakit I got my wok through Amazon.com.

Is that a wood floor that you’re working on with a welder? Kind of dangerous don’t you think?
