    Thank you for this very helpful review! Was finally able to replace my old battery, it was bulging pretty badly lol. Hardest part was popping off the faceplate and replugging in the large ribbon cable but now it all works like new and I am relieved to have done it correctly and no longer have to worry about constantly having my charger plugged in! :-)

    I struggled opening it with my hands, but I used an old gift card to slip it in and that helped alot! Thank you for the video, i was super nervous about messing up my laptop, but i just replaced the battery! Thanks!

    Hi, thank you I've replaced the battery but now I've a problem
    First of all it says that the battery is at 1%, and that's really strange for a new battery, and also in the first and only startup, I got the CMOS reset 502.
    Tomorrow I'll get the charger and see if I'll get the error another time, have you ever seen this error after replacing the battery?

      The cmos is reset when the battery is disconnected.

    Thanks! After replacing the battery, my laptop mouse stopped working and despite multiple attempts at re-latching the cables, it remains unresponsive. I find the design of latching the cables in this manner to be weired.

    Hi! Thank you for your video! I changed the battery in my HP Pavilion x360 14 Convertible, but my HP Support Assistant kept telling me to calibrate the battery and when completely drained, it always erased the BIOS setting. Now the Support Assistant keeps saying the battery needs to be changed again. Any idea to help? Thank you

    Hy. Thank you for your video, it helped a lot and i managed also to change the Battery succesfully. Now, when starting the computer i am getting an error which says the Battery is counterfit and i should use only Hp Battery. It' appears every time in Bios. The second part is that the new Battery is not charging, only when the lid is closed. I can't find any solution for this. Do you have an Ideea for this problem ?

    Do you have to remove the entire motherboard to remove the Wi-Fi card? I need to replace that on my laptop. It's in exactly the same place as the one in this video.

    Hi bro ! Great video do u know we’re the cmos battery is located??? I think I need to replace it cause some times my lap doesn’t turn on then I have to remove the battery and reinsert in order to be able to power on

    now my battery seems to be showing and i got an HP laptop its a touch screen idk how old it is but it seems like an old style but it wasnt use much its only two years old and literally the battery is showing and popping up

    I watched your video. After you installed the new battery, did you forget to reconnect the battery with that one cable you peeled off the old battery ? I would imagine you would have to reconnect that, before you reattach the three other cables before closing the laptop up.

      Yes, you have to put the cable back. I forgot in the video and didn't record putting it back. Good catch.

But is it difficult to peel that cable off the battery - do you risk damaging that cable if you peel it off or put it back onto the battery ? Or do the new batteries come with that peel off cable ? Still debating on doing it myself. Especially if there’s no way to replace that cable if I rip it. Thank you !

      @@patriciafemia8125 the cable doesn’t connect the battery, it has its own connections. I just replaced my battery in the same laptop and the cable was not hard at all to remove. But you do have to put it back because the new battery doesn’t come with it. I’m not sure what the cable does but it doesn’t connect to the battery.

    I hope you can still read this and help. I've bought a replacement battery, but when I installed it, windows does not detect the battery. I think I bought the proper replacement which is labeled BK03XL. I'm not really tech savvy so I might have done something wrong.

      Just make sure the pins line up and the battery is pushed down all the way.

    I followed your video and replaced my HP laptop (same model in your video) battery. When I turned On my laptop and on the screen at startup it says "Non-HP battery detected. This may pose health and safety risk. HP recommended using HP batteries only. Using a non-compatible batteries or non-HP battery might pose health and safety risk. The installed battery does not appear to be an HP battery and fast charging might not be available. >>>> I already diagnosed the battery using HP assistant and calibrated the primary and it passed and also in HP hardware diagnostic it passed and battery is Normal. But the non-HP battery alert still coming up on startup.. How can I get rid of this. I followed some instructions online and it didn't work.. I need help... Thank you

      I recommend getting another battery. HP will throttle the cpu if you don't.

      @@ItsBinhRepaired I replaced the battery, all ok, works perfectly. The pc detects the battery, it understands its excellent condition, but I can't calibrate it as requested by the "Hp Support Assistant" program

    my computer was dead, and the orange light was coming on when i plugged it in. after holding the power button, the light turned off and wouldn’t turn back on until i tried a couple times. i took the battery out and i have it plugged in, but i hear nothing when i try to turn it on and the light just keeps going out. what should i do?

    Hi, thanks for this informative video.
    Question, not sure if my battery is the issue?!? My LP is about 2 years old, and I keep it plugged in most of the time. lately when I'm on battery, it doesn't seem to last as long and sometimes is will show 80% and then shut off. I'll plug it in to turn it back on and it will show 5%. It's done this same thing at 50%. Diagnostic says nothing it wrong, Is it the battery?

      Don't leave it plugged in when not in use and shut it down when not used for more than several hours.

    Please help, My HP 360 Convertible laptop acting weird recently. my problem is, The battery icon on the screen says "it is plugged in" and charging with % . but the charger is disconnected. the battery light is blinking white.     Hi i recently ran into this problem where it's plugged in but it just stays at 9% all the time, so it's no longer charging.     I have this same laptop and I replaced the battery and charged it for the night while I was sleeping and my laptop still won't turn on now that I replaced the battery. Did I get a bad battery? Everything was put back just like your video describes

      Hello. I just change my battery, the system shows me a message for reboot the system because something was not recognise. I said yes. The laptop work for 2, 3 mins. And the just show a message that says Locking. And turns off. Doesn't turn on atm..... do you have any idea? Thanks.

    Hi, I have the same exact problem.
    My old battery was bloated, so i ordered a new battery and did exactly the same in the video but the laptop didn't turn on. Then I removed the battery and released the static electricity and plugged in the charger. It worked only with direct power supply. So, before going to sleep I fixed the new battery back in and let it charge for 8 hours. And after 8 hours, when I pressed the power it still didn't turn on.
    So i removed the battery again and discharged the static electricity and plugged the charger. But this time the laptop didn't turn on.
    Please help.

      It depends how you use it. Don't leave it plugged in when not using for several hours. Don't let it drain below 10% and try to keep it between 20 and 80% for longest life.

    What’s the trick to getting the top snapped back into place where you started (by the mouse pad) there’s a lump there and I can’t get it closed all the way. The rest is ok except this part. HELP!?!?

      The front part of the cover (just trying to give more specific information) the laptop works tho after I replaced the battery. Just can’t get it all the way snapped back together in the front.

Do you have any advice on how to remove the screws? I’m turning to the left. I also applied as more pressure and tried turning the screwdriver at an angle for more leverage

      @Gen Evieve you want to make sure you're using the right size screwdriver. If it wobbles in the screw, you have the wrong one and need a larger size. JIS1 is the size you want. amzn.to/3TWGH9I This should do the job.

I don’t know if it’s related to the new battery but when it plays videos, it’s in lower quality. My web browser crashes or loads slower too. I read somewhere that some people have to update BIOS or reboot the computer, but I’m not what this means. Could you explain to me? If it’s worth mentioning, I also had to use a non-HP replacement battery I got on Amazon.

      @@ItsBinhRepaired yes its working normal with the old battery but quickly discharged, also it has intermittent charging before in which I have to plug in/off the adaptor before it shows charging. My suspect with the new battery probably it's fully discharged, manufactured date is Jan 2021. I'll try to leave the adaptor plugged in and hopefully it'll charge.

      @@ItsBinhRepaired Yes it worked on the old battery, I put back the new battery and plugged the adaptor for few hours then amber light came and charged the battery till 100%. Now the only issue is at 54% suddenly it shutdowns in an average normal used of 3-4 hrs. and display pop up of replacing with higher capacity adaptor and requires at least 3x plugging ON/OFF of the adaptor before it normally charge.
