Very informative thanks. I have a couple of petzl head torches as well. One is the tikka xp5 which came with a pc program where you could program the light levels to suit your needs and a rechargeable battery. The other is the e+lite which runs on the CR watch type batteries and it's really for emergencies not, day you day use.
@@DubberDabbles I know the tikka but not the X5 and programmable light levels. That is a new one. I was thinking of getting the e+lite and keeping it in my first aid kit in case of emergencies bit I usually have a head torch in my pack anyway. I always liked the look of it though.
@@BrokenBackMountains yeah I've had it for years and the program got lost a few laptops ago. Basically it's now permanently set to max and min. but lasts for ages on minimum. It has a slide up diffuser as well.
@@DubberDabbles I'm always interested in unique and interesting gear. I wonder if the program is out on the web. Edit - it is available on the petzl website in the customer service section😁
I’ve got the same torch! Solid! Top review.
@@Thedagda801 They are good, aren't they.

@@BrokenBackMountains thanks I'll download it. I just did a quick Google for a review to send you but there wasn't any.
