    Thanks for sharing.
    Apologies if this is not clear.
    Y pot support.
    If the Triangle side supports are at the correct height then your extra ring sits too low.
    Get a stainless steel spoke 305mm nip off the J end and the threads the other end. Bend in half, allowing the bend to be open.
    Open out the two top sections to 120° to form a Y, (the vertical being double ), allow about 15mm overlap of the Triangle sides, on the 2 parted ends, these will rest in the furthest of the 2 scalloped pot supports of the side plates. Open the vertical of the Y to rest in the 2 scallops. = A pot support for all smaller pots than the Triangle at present accommodates.
    If you do want it (the Y pot support) at the lower side wall height, you can do that too.
    Add a u notch in the side walls to locate the Y if positive locating is desired.

      @@taber247 I have another video that explains the pot support and it works fine with a titanium mug. The video is called the trangia triangle mug mod. Check it out😄
      There are lots of different solutions for smaller pots for the triangle and all work. Thanks for sharing yours. I used to use something similar.

    Thanks for sharing.
    Even Trangia's gas appliances's fuel line touches underside of the base slot.
    In one of the side plates, I have drilled a, same diameter hole, in the centre of the upper line of holes, on the same centre line. Then, from the existing fuel line slot snipped up to form an inverted T slot for the fuel line, also generously rounded off corners. This allows the fuel line to take a natural unstrained path out of the Triangle.

    • @BrokenBackMountains
      @BrokenBackMountains  Месяц назад

      @@taber247 Yeah, that is what I'm going to do. I don't like putting strain on the fuel hose. One of the people I follow on Insta did the same. Quite an elegant solution. I take it you used snips, not a Dremel. I would probably do the same.
      I don't have the same problem when using my edelrid hexon with the tradapter in the Triangle. It sits lower and the hose is more flexible. I've still to try the Robens fire tick in the triangle. I've only used it in the T27. It also sits lower below the burner stand so probably threads through easier.
      I never used the older Trangia gas insert but it seemed to fit fine in pictures. Strange that they didn't quite get it right with the new one. Maybe there is a Mk3 triangle in the pipe line.

      @@BrokenBackMountains one of these days I'll learn what this lightweight method is 😂 I'm a big guy, so I just pack whatever I feel I need and don't usually think about how heavy my pack is. @@chado_outdoors I used to be able to pack heavier stuff but after breaking my bike and neck I need to watch the weight in my pack.
      I used this stove all the time for the bike. Just the right size for throw overs. Alas, the bike days are probably over. Can't turn my neck or use a throttle anymore and the bike is written off. What happens when a car driver turns without indicating or looking.

      It is the UCO switch spork. Quite handy as it snaps together to make a long spork. I've got a vid scheduled about sporks, of all things, but have acquired a jetboil sporks set since then which is really nice. I haven't seen the Soto long spoon. Might have a Google.

    It may be a trangia triangle in terms of the 3 side pieces but the pot support doesn’t look like a trangia type and the burner definitely isn't in my experience.

    • @BrokenBackMountains
      @BrokenBackMountains  Месяц назад

      @johnhodgetts2791 Thanks for watching. I would hazard a guess you have a Triangle from before 2022.
      The burner supports were changed by Trangia in 2022 to the ones you see here. If you go to the Trangia web shop you can buy the new version support as a spare. It fits the older Triangles. I use it as a support for smaller pots.
      The burner is genuine Trangia. The simmer ring is not. I explained that I replaced the simmer rings with Chinese ones as they have a handle on them and are easier to use than the Trangia simmer rings.
      If you look at the burner in the video you can see the embossed T in the bottom.
      The gas burner is the new for 2024 Trangia Gas burner storm. It is not yet available outside Europe and it is Swedish designed and made by Trangia and replaces the one made for Trangia by Primus.
      So, at the end of the day, the only non-Trangia part is the Simmer ring.
      The Triangle, alcohol burner, gas burner, pot supports, case, bag and mess tins are all Trangia and easily verified by a visit to their online web shop to check.
      I've been using Trangia systems since the 80s and wouldn't try to pass off clones as genuine. Check out my other videos on the burners and the mod for the smaller pots. They explain what I use in depth.

      I see. I use my triangle more so than any other stove. The only problem I have experienced is if you use a pot that is too small to rest on the triangle plates and slips down. I turn the triangle over turn the burner round and place two pre cut tent pegs through the holes in sides. Have you tried the trangia mini? I generally use the triangle under cover but have had to source a windshield when not under fabric.

    • @BrokenBackMountains
      @BrokenBackMountains  Месяц назад

      @@johnhodgetts2791Yeah Ive seen that method used. I just slide the spare burner support over the top and it supports the small pot. I use a small titanium mug with it.The Trangia T pot and the pot from the mini fit perfectly on the triangle.
      I have the 27, the mini and the micro as well as the triangle. I also have the military trangia and the Swedish Ranger with a Svea burner. Both svea and Trangia provided burners for the Swedish military.
      I use a foil windshield with the triangle, mini and micro. You can either buy them or make them out of foil roasting tins. Nice and light.
      As you can see I have a bit of a hoarding problem when it comes to Trangias😂 I've still to get a 25. Never had one. Maybe later this year.
