Holy crap Cris, I love this project. Awesome to see a completely mechanical pinball table. Would love to hear more about the game design - does the ball cross over to the other player's table? Or do you play two simultaneous games?
+Make: Thank you very much!! Yes, the ball travels to the other table side, depending on the angle you hit it. You can came up with your own rules but what we are going for here is that both players start with too balls - one hidden in one of the cross spinning obstable and one being pushed by the plunger, starting at the same time. At almost every take, at least one ball ends up going the other side so if both players loose 2 balls at the flippers, we score it 1 - 1. If player A looses 3 or 4 balls, the point goes to player B, so 0 - 1. Progressively add points until one of them get to 5. Then, the winner stays and another player faces the winner.
did anyone say it was something new or revolutionary though? the point of this was to give a new look to a pinball game, which is exactly what she did. it's made of different materials, it has a personalized look and it's analogic. the 2 player part is also different because we can switch the rules however we want - 1 ball, or 2, or 3 or 4 in the same gameplay, etc. if you had one exactly like this one, show us then.
I'm 20 seconds into the video and already love the concept! This is way more fun than traditional pinball. As soon as I have my shop back running I'm totally making one!
This is awesome, your awesome. I have had a little bit of trouble understanding you at times, due to how fast you speak, could you slow down your speech a little bit. Thanks.
I saw this concept a while back, but it was not even close to this scale. All it was was a tiny board with flippers at either end with no obstacles. Your version of this idea is by far the best I have seen
I have no idea who you are, or about your channel, or how this video came up on my suggested play list. But I think it's awesome!! I love how you explained things and gave tips in a field I've never even researched. You gave me great ideas and inspiration for a project I'd never dreamed of. And earned a like & subscribe from me. I look forward to diving into your other videos. Bravo!
Really cool, as I already said - the idea is just sooo good, at some point I'll have to make a version with a little bit of electronics for scoring mainly, but maybe light and sound as well! Hat tip to Joana for helping you in the build! 🖐🏼
I did never heard of this channel before though I'm from Portugal too. This is the kind of content and creaters that should get recognized, not the gaming youtubers that copy content from outside and have a toxic community that follow them. Espero que cresças no futuro ;)
Wow Christiana! That double player was a great idea!! And the build may have taken longer than expected but was excellent! You are an amazing and creative person!
This is an amazing work. Thumbs up! You also convinced me that my next purchase is this CNC that I've been looking for a long time. Keep it this work indeed deserve an award!
Such an inspiring work of art. Your approach of pinball kinectics is refreshing and your woodworking skills are off the hook! I'm looking forward for your next projects!
It looks awesome ! You've done a really great work with the shape and the colors of the obstacles, the design and the project itself are fantastic ! Cheers Victor
1 suggestion- eye protection. Everything else is really cool! I'm making mine with clipboards and yardsticks and repurposed screws and telephone bells. I'm using only hand tools and a Dremel tool. Great video!
Wow... thats the most entertaining and fun project I have seen in a long time... awesome! Thank you so much for sharing... keep on exploring... awesome!
Very inventive and well realized project, congrats! It's actually a great idea to have a double-sided/Dual players flipper, and never seen this before. Respect!
You are such a bad ass!!!! i'm so into your videos. And i'm not even close to being a builder/maker/whatever. And i completely appreciate the quality on your filming/editing details!
Mmh, yes, that looks quite fun. I would have loved to see it in action a little more. Like a competitive match. But this pinball table is adorable. This is truly a spectacular craft.
As a pinball enthusiast and collector I hope stern and jersey jack see this video and see your potential! Well made video might I add and great carpentry
You are very fortunate to own a CNC router. I'll have to build this fun project with a coping saw instead 😔 I'm looking forward to building this one of these days. Thank you for the great idea 😁
Really enjoyed the build, it's been years since I've even played pinball, much less thought about building one! I like the mix of materials you used and the overall design too.
This was a wonderful project! so many insights on how to do different jobs within the whole thing! It may have taken longer than you originally planned, but the detail/outcome seems well worth it. keep up the GREAT work! Russ from Coral Springs, Florida, USA
Such a cool and simple Idea that seems to have turned out really well! Makes me want to see a 4-player version, or maybe even something a little stranger like a 3-player table
Not sure if anyone said this already (I'm not sure how to search comments), but the cracks in acrylic you reference is called "crazing". It occurs because of uneven heat stresses introduced into the material during cutting. The heating and cooling puts the cut edge under tension. It's very common in laser cutting but can occur when any process (even sanding.) Solvents like acetone and alcohol will soften the acrylic enough to release the tension in the form of tiny cracks. The only way to avoid it is to keep the material cool during cutting, anneal it afterwards (a slow heating process that requires a timed oven), remove the heat stressed edge (with a router or jointer, but while not adding new stresses,) or avoid the use of solvents. Unfortunately, all acrylic glues, CA and its activator, alcohol and especially acetone will cause this. A safe solvent is naphtha though it may not be available in all countries. They sell it here in the same section as paint solvents. Epoxy is probably a safe adhesive though I'm not 100% sure, CA is better than acrylic glues, but can still cause it. Cast acrylic is more resistant to this than extruded. Mirror acrylic is always extruded.
wooooow. excelente trabajo. tu video está mejorado. y me encantaron las tomas de Oporto con el dron. congratulations Christiana excellent job. i love it.
Wow Cris you keep surprising us!! That's simply super cool! And I love how you make it look so easy, when I know all the work and efforts that must behind a project...
I just built a portable mini pinball game and used clothespins for the mechanism. But now I found your video and think about an updated version with some similar mechanism as yours 😂 Cheers 💪👍
What an awesome idea. Just put it on my project list. I don't have a cnc but no reason it is needed. Hopefully I can get down the project list enough to do this soon. I really like it.
Awesome concept and great build! It looks like a lot of fun. Also congrats to getting that support from Inventables i'm sure there will be many great projects invovling the xcarve!
Cool stuff! Reminds me of NES's Rock 'N Ball game. In that game there is an option to move the flippers into a more offensive mode where there are flippers on the opponents side of the board. It would be cool as a trade off to have a forward flipper to put pressure on the opponent when the ball is on their side.

This is one of the coolest things I have ever seen. How is this not a thing yet.
+Garage Loot there is actually a 2player pinball machine from the 80's or 70's in the pinball hall of fame
did anyone say it was something new or revolutionary though? the point of this was to give a new look to a pinball game, which is exactly what she did. it's made of different materials, it has a personalized look and it's analogic. the 2 player part is also different because we can switch the rules however we want - 1 ball, or 2, or 3 or 4 in the same gameplay, etc. if you had one exactly like this one, show us then.

Agreed! Playing with two people is way more fun than just one person. Great job, Cris!
:D Thanks guys! Happy you enjoy it just by watching.
This is awesome, your awesome. I have had a little bit of trouble understanding you at times, due to how fast you speak, could you slow down your speech a little bit. Thanks.

I can't describe how amazing this is without using expletives, so I'll just stand up and applaud instead.

As a pinball enthusiast and collector I hope stern and jersey jack see this video and see your potential!
Well made video might I add and great carpentry
Estávamos com saudades!!! She is back !
ingenious concept. by releasing more pinballs u have more ammo against your opponent but u also have more pinballs to deal with
This is your best project so far! One Word, Amazing!
Wow 😳 you're tremendously skilled ! Congratulations ! It turns out soooo cool 😍
The multi-material/contrasting colour parts look fantastic. I really like the red and blue on the birch!
Thanks Paul! Yes, some of these colours look fantastic...the blue is beautiful and deep. A bit like the Bosch Blue ahah
Great idea to turn a 1 player game into a 2 players game. Very nice project. 😊👍
WOW that is a fantastic project, a lot in it but nothing really to complex, great work.
That is an absolutely great project! I've always wanted a pinball machine and this is an awesome way to get one.
You are very fortunate to own a CNC router. I'll have to build this fun project with a coping saw instead 😔
I'm looking forward to building this one of these days.
Thank you for the great idea 😁
Excellent creativity. Keep up the good work. Kudos from an old pinball collector.

I looooooove pinball!!! But this is the best!!! Awsome!!!! Great job! Love it! Geetings from Uruguay!
Fantastic, one of the best projects I've seen 👍
