Peach is the purest thing to bless these cut scenes. Literally everything, from her giggling because she knew Zelda is Sheik to when she stopped Fox and Sheik from fighting by giving them tea from who knows where. Even the little things, there was a giant robotic monster right in front of them but she still turned around to dust off her dress. She provides great comic relief by being the only one who isn’t incredibly serious the entire time
I hope they make a story mode because this story mode was a masterpiece by Nintendo. They didn’t bring it in smash Wii U but fans are hoping for them to bring it in smash ultimate. I wanna see every character interact with each other and save the world. Probably could be a different sub space this time

Ness is such a badass. Ness comes in and protects some random kid's life with his own, Ness is thousands of years older than Lucas. They've never met, yet it feels like they're brothers. Love Earthbound, love Smash.

Also, there was a transformer OC in there at one point, who wasn’t being manipulated by anyone at first, but he still had the bomb in his head for some reason or another.

One thing about this that doesn’t get enough praise, in my opinion, is the less than conventional way the characters are grouped, like Samus and Pikachu gets praise (and rightfully so, that team up is awesome), but who would’ve foreseen Link teaming up with Yoshi? Or that of course the Fire Emblem characters would team up but also Meta-Knight would be there? Or team Dedede? The teams are amazing and unconventional and I want more fanart of Fox and Falco hanging out with Diddy Kong.
I agree. I never had a chance to play this but I've heard a little about it, and so I searched it up and watched this. I was surprised by what I saw. The groups were really random, but made sense as well! I was most surprised with Team Triple D. I never thought that Luigi, DDD, and Ness would get together and save the day! I want more art about the whole scenario. With all the teams and events!
@@coyote689 well to be fair, he only did that because he was planning a fail safe for if Tabuu wiped out the other heroes (which he did) with his timed badges. If it wasn’t for Dedede, Luigi wouldn’t have gotten to be the hero that brought the Smash bros army back from oblivion itself.
i love how the subspace emissary has no actual dialogue, just some gasps, grunts, and yells. music, facial expressions and body language just tell it all. though if ultimate gets a story mode i would love voiced dialogue
I feel like it's more than The Avengers. It's all of the characters coming together from all of the different franchises. Like Marvel would have all of The Avengers, Galaxy Guardians, Fantastic Four, X-Men, and all of the individual heroes and villains all in one.
gijs Pijnenborg Dude. World of Light doesn’t suck. Maybe from your POV, but a lot of people including myself thought it was fun. (Plus it has some of the best boss fights in Smash history, so there’s that)
In WOL the fights are pretty repetitive with one or two gimmicks that only waste your time with putting on a spirit. The boss fights come out of nowhere and are pretty forgettable and can be rushed with a giant little Mac or ganon. The first cutscene is probably the only reason you got through the first 1/3 of the game until you realise that Is one of the only cutscenes in the game and you'll waste your time fumbling around with a character you've never attempted to play before but are forced to because your main is in the dark realm for no reason but the developers thought it cool to have you go from one character to the choice of the whole cast probably because having a story centered around one party of characters is easier than having multiple. Also the fact that the villains are being controlled really doesn't help making them feel just like padding until you make it to the final bosses which are extremely underwhelming which will only kill you with doing 30% every mistake you make which basically means not shielding. Thanks for watching.
One thing I noticed in these games is that King Dedede is never the bad guy you think he is. In nightmare in dreamland he was trying to keep the monsters at bay and kriby unknowingly rekt him. In this game, people thought he was just collecting trophies but he already knew about the Subspace problem and made countermeasures. #ATRUEKING
I will always be mad that World of Light didn't have cutscenes like these so not only could we have seen old favorite teams, like Samus and Pikachu, but also have new teams, like my dream team of Samus, Pikachu, Pichu, and Inkling.

A youtube crossover series called "Mario Warfare" had a group called "Smash Club" of course loosely based on the Smash Bros games. You guys should watch it, it is awesome! On the youtube channel Beatdownboogie.

I feel like a lot of people were surprised that Kirby destroyed a whole battle ship, but in the newer games, Kirby has to fight essentially gods, super computers bent on destroying life, and a whole lot more. With some kind of final weapon, Kirby could probably take on Tabu on his own.
That's always been the biggest plot hole for me. I guess he might have slipped on wet ground and had his foot end up under that one random twig on the ground like that, but it's still weird.

Brawl actually had a thrilling story, it's such a shame Smash 4 doesn't have something similar. There are always going to be spoilers in games, but that doesn't change the gameplay. :/
It does when you put a significant amount of your budget and time into these cutscenes (because you have to), specifically as a selling point to those "hundreds of thousands" who are now bitching in the comments of videos like this, only for that number to just watch the cutscenes on RUclips and ignore the game itself. This cutscene dump probably siphoned a ton of money from the developers, and Brawl was already a massive success anyway.
Despatche that logic applies to literally every game thay has a story. but you don't see developers of huge IP's like Uncharted or kingdom hearts complaining. Nintendo's IP's arent any more important than others so it's a lazy excuse.

Oh, I love this game to death. The way every Nintendo character joined forces to put an end to Tabuu's plan of merging the Nintendo worlds so he can absorb them. No wonder Smash 4 didn't have a story mode....because there was no way they could top THIS.
Actually, SSB4 didn't have a story mode because Sakurai knew that if they made one, people would post the cutscenes online and he didn't want that. A pretty stupid reason if you ask me...

I've actually thought of a story mode for Smash V, called StorySmash, with Maxwell, Shadow, Ninten and Decidueye as protagonists. The plot revolves around Viridi recruiting various villains from Nintendo and 3rd Party franchises to steal 4 forms of energy (Starites, Chaos Emeralds, the Eight Melodies and Z-power) to create a portal to every universe in the entire multiverse, and create Dark Smash Balls so the villains can use Dark Final Smashes to destroy man and allow nature to take over. The 4 characters I mentioned earlier will have to gather these forms of energy and keep them safe from Viridi and her minions, before joining forces to defeat Viridi and convince her nature and mankind can coexist.
AZD ANS As sad as it is, if they trade out the data and time used to make those cut scenes and use them to either improve the gameplay or improve the amount of people on the roster, I would totally be fine with the trade off.
Nintendo, the only company that can make beating the crap out of beloved characters until either they get launched into space or turned into a statuelike corpse (trophy) kid friendly.
Say that after you see the Smash Ultimate Spirit of Light cutscene when the "light" creatures just completely vaperoizes everyone including the ash. (I know technically they live, but that cutscene is just brutal if you really look at the effect.)
I wouldn't say Sonic ws there considering he was only 3 seconds of the scene. Snake had an entire adventure with Meta Knight and Lucario. Sonic just saved all of Nintendos (and whatever Snakes enterprise was) asses.
I love these so much. Fan service at its best, and there are some awesome moments. I hope in the next Smash Sakurai stops that whole "they put it on the internet so it's not worth doing them" bullshit and give us a new adventure mode. Hopefully with better gameplay, but even if it doesn't have better gameplay, I personally think SSE is a fun distraction, considering it's only one mode in a game packed with content. And these cutscenes make it well worth playing for me.
There are no real "finales" in video games. Every developer always wants "this game" to be the finale, until they want to do another. Why do you think it took so long to do Brawl? Did you know that Brawl didn't even start development until late 2005, and was meant to be released much earlier than it was?
Say what you will about the gameplay, but having a mode where all these classic characters interact with each other is awesome. It's a shame Sakurai chose to get drop the finished cutscenes for SSB4 simply because people upload them online. For the love of God, who buys a videogame for the friggin cutscenes?
I think what would be even better then SM4SH even a mode like this, would be if they made a new game, with gameplay made to accentuate the level and story/setting

Brawl was my first Smash. With Ultimate coming...knowing World of Light won't measure up to this story... It brings tears to my eyes. But at least such a tale was told.

There’s no real story in WOL Subspace had unique Bosses too, more than WOL Because World of Light only had a few but in Subspace every boss was unique, and there were definitly more than in WOL But the story in WOL is so straight forward But in Subspace there were actual plot twists and an interesting story to make you want to see what Will happen, and therefore you Keep going But in WOL the thing that’s happening is immediatly told to you and that’s it really... The only twist in WOL is when you defeat Galeem and Darkhon appears, that’s it It’s a decent time-wasted game, and not an “Adventure” or “story” mode like this was

I wouldn't count on cutscenes. I'd be thankful if we even get a way to fight enemies again. Melee at least had an Adventure Mode with in-game cutscenes. Sm4sh has a garbage Classic Mode with a single boss and brief Adventure Mode-esque sequence.

Tabuu is Nintendo's version of Thanos. And the cutscene where he turns everyone into trophies is kinda like the ending of Infinity War. Maybe Captain Marvel and AntMan will be able to bring everyone back in Avengers 4 like King Dedede, Ness, Luigi, and Kirby.

What about Wolf? I agree it would he nice to have him, but in the end his inclusion doesn't really matter. People complain about Sonic more because, aside from the fact that he's one of the most iconic video game characters of all time, he was also one of the most requested characters to be put into Smash. Everybody wanted to see him interact with characters like Mario and Link, this is what they've been demanding. I don't think anybody was clamoring for Wolf's inclusion.
It's not really a reason why they're not in any subspace cutscenes, but it is interesting to note their unlock requirements. Every other unlockable character can be unlocked in 3 ways: one of which involves subspace, and two others that don't. The two that don't are pretty generic (Complete x versus matches, finish classic mode, finish classic mode without continues, etc.), but everyone except TL, Puff and Wolf can be unlocked after they join the party in Subspace. TL, Puff and Wolf have what would be their "join party" unlock replaced with a different condition that can only be done once Subspace is completed and you return to a specific room and enter a specific door. The level you find them in usually has one of the characters from their series as playable (except for puff, because pikachu/pokemon trainer aren't in The Swamp). Pretty neat attention to detail if you ask me.
Because Sonic, TL, Puff, and Wolf were last-second add ons to the game. Nearly cut but because Sonic delayed the games release, it could explain how the devs had enough time to make them

I've confirmed that our world is by no means threatened by Tabuu, I'm clearly outclassed in sheer strength by these fighters who are capable of taking down Metal Gears with the few weapons they use and my companions make stealth almost useless in this mission. Otacon: But it's awesome and I just wanted you to capture a Pokemon for me. If you want, you can capture any of them with your tranquillizer ... except Jigglypuff. By the way, Gray Fox came back from the dead and will either aid you or try to kill you for unspecified reasons. Snake: Can you call Megaman and Pac-Man for me?
I agree. I love World Of Light but Brawl's Story Mode is 10x better. The cutscenes are epic, and it's actually extremely fun to play Story Mode. Don't get me wrong, World Of Light is fun, but when fighting some of the enemies, it gets really irritating sometimes. I was stuck fighting Ganondorf on one of them for almost an hour, because it was nearly impossible to kill him. With Brawl's Story Mode, most of the enemies aren't impossible to beat, and it's really cool to watch the cutscenes and fight all the enemies. (My opinion.)
Well, I mean, he did fight tbe ultimate evil, and saved the entire universe, so no shit he was the most heroic, also yeah, props to Dedede. That dude planned ahead BIG time.

Cartoon Network/Disney XD Superheroes and also a few cutscenes for the world of lights opening plus final battle with two paths each
In WOL the fights are pretty repetitive with one or two gimmicks that only waste your time with putting on a spirit. The boss fights come out of nowhere and are pretty forgettable and can be rushed with a giant little Mac or ganon. The first cutscene is probably the only reason you got through the first 1/3 of the game until you realise that Is one of the only cutscenes in the game and you'll waste your time fumbling around with a character you've never attempted to play before but are forced to because your main is in the dark realm for no reason but the developers thought it cool to have you go from one character to the choice of the whole cast probably because having a story centered around one party of characters is easier than having multiple. Also the fact that the villains are being controlled really doesn't help making them feel just like padding until you make it to the final bosses which are extremely underwhelming which will only kill you with doing 30% every mistake you make which basically means not shielding.

One thing I noticed in these games is that King Dedede is never the bad guy you think he is. In nightmare in dreamland he was trying to keep the monsters at bay and kriby unknowingly rekt him. In this game, people thought he was just collecting trophies but he already knew about the Subspace problem and made countermeasures. #ATRUEKING

Brawl actually had a thrilling story, it's such a shame Smash 4 doesn't have something similar. There are always going to be spoilers in games, but that doesn't change the gameplay. :/
It does when you put a significant amount of your budget and time into these cutscenes (because you have to), specifically as a selling point to those "hundreds of thousands" who are now bitching in the comments of videos like this, only for that number to just watch the cutscenes on RUclips and ignore the game itself. This cutscene dump probably siphoned a ton of money from the developers, and Brawl was already a massive success anyway.
Despatche that logic applies to literally every game thay has a story. but you don't see developers of huge IP's like Uncharted or kingdom hearts complaining. Nintendo's IP's arent any more important than others so it's a lazy excuse.

Oh, I love this game to death. The way every Nintendo character joined forces to put an end to Tabuu's plan of merging the Nintendo worlds so he can absorb them. No wonder Smash 4 didn't have a story mode....because there was no way they could top THIS.
Actually, SSB4 didn't have a story mode because Sakurai knew that if they made one, people would post the cutscenes online and he didn't want that. A pretty stupid reason if you ask me...
Right? I mean, he said that if we watched all the cutscenes online, we'd feel like we already played the game, but that is literally how we all felt when we saw literally the entire Smash roster a year in advance....
I've actually thought of a story mode for Smash V, called StorySmash, with Maxwell, Shadow, Ninten and Decidueye as protagonists. The plot revolves around Viridi recruiting various villains from Nintendo and 3rd Party franchises to steal 4 forms of energy (Starites, Chaos Emeralds, the Eight Melodies and Z-power) to create a portal to every universe in the entire multiverse, and create Dark Smash Balls so the villains can use Dark Final Smashes to destroy man and allow nature to take over. The 4 characters I mentioned earlier will have to gather these forms of energy and keep them safe from Viridi and her minions, before joining forces to defeat Viridi and convince her nature and mankind can coexist.

AZD ANS As sad as it is, if they trade out the data and time used to make those cut scenes and use them to either improve the gameplay or improve the amount of people on the roster, I would totally be fine with the trade off.

I love these so much. Fan service at its best, and there are some awesome moments. I hope in the next Smash Sakurai stops that whole "they put it on the internet so it's not worth doing them" bullshit and give us a new adventure mode. Hopefully with better gameplay, but even if it doesn't have better gameplay, I personally think SSE is a fun distraction, considering it's only one mode in a game packed with content. And these cutscenes make it well worth playing for me.

There are no real "finales" in video games. Every developer always wants "this game" to be the finale, until they want to do another. Why do you think it took so long to do Brawl? Did you know that Brawl didn't even start development until late 2005, and was meant to be released much earlier than it was?
Say what you will about the gameplay, but having a mode where all these classic characters interact with each other is awesome. It's a shame Sakurai chose to get drop the finished cutscenes for SSB4 simply because people upload them online. For the love of God, who buys a videogame for the friggin cutscenes?
I think what would be even better then SM4SH even a mode like this, would be if they made a new game, with gameplay made to accentuate the level and story/setting

I wouldn't count on cutscenes. I'd be thankful if we even get a way to fight enemies again. Melee at least had an Adventure Mode with in-game cutscenes. Sm4sh has a garbage Classic Mode with a single boss and brief Adventure Mode-esque sequence.

What about Wolf? I agree it would he nice to have him, but in the end his inclusion doesn't really matter. People complain about Sonic more because, aside from the fact that he's one of the most iconic video game characters of all time, he was also one of the most requested characters to be put into Smash. Everybody wanted to see him interact with characters like Mario and Link, this is what they've been demanding. I don't think anybody was clamoring for Wolf's inclusion.
It's not really a reason why they're not in any subspace cutscenes, but it is interesting to note their unlock requirements. Every other unlockable character can be unlocked in 3 ways: one of which involves subspace, and two others that don't. The two that don't are pretty generic (Complete x versus matches, finish classic mode, finish classic mode without continues, etc.), but everyone except TL, Puff and Wolf can be unlocked after they join the party in Subspace. TL, Puff and Wolf have what would be their "join party" unlock replaced with a different condition that can only be done once Subspace is completed and you return to a specific room and enter a specific door. The level you find them in usually has one of the characters from their series as playable (except for puff, because pikachu/pokemon trainer aren't in The Swamp). Pretty neat attention to detail if you ask me.
Because Sonic, TL, Puff, and Wolf were last-second add ons to the game. Nearly cut but because Sonic delayed the games release, it could explain how the devs had enough time to make them

I agree. I love World Of Light but Brawl's Story Mode is 10x better. The cutscenes are epic, and it's actually extremely fun to play Story Mode. Don't get me wrong, World Of Light is fun, but when fighting some of the enemies, it gets really irritating sometimes. I was stuck fighting Ganondorf on one of them for almost an hour, because it was nearly impossible to kill him. With Brawl's Story Mode, most of the enemies aren't impossible to beat, and it's really cool to watch the cutscenes and fight all the enemies. (My opinion.)
Soul_ _Studios Brawl is incredibly repetitive. The only drive to continue is the cutscenes.
