... Okay, this issue sums up my issues with Waller as a character. She is a mary sue villain who gets to do anything and everything she wants, and has to face no consequences for her actions at all. She worked in the DCAU because she got confronted with that pivotal final choice: Either stand your ground and reap what you sowed (her paranoia and actions causing the end of the world), or understand the mistakes she made and change course accordingly (which is what happened in the DCAU). Problem is, the later can never happen because it would take Waller out as a villain, so everything we saw in this prelude (and whatever she ends up doing in the actual event series) will actively change nothing. She cannot grow as a character (because, again, her ultimate spite and cynicism is the core of her character as a villain), but they cannot deal with her in any way (because it would, again, just remove her from the story, which is what they do not want.) I'm seriously debating if her or the Joker have more insane plot-armor as villains in a super hero universe.
The fallout from this is gonna extensive....mostly because the Superfamily's holiday get togethers are going to be awkward considering Jay absolutely hates Dreamer now....
I’m still not sure what Waller’s endgame even is for all this, but I’m honestly wanting Jon Stewart, Black Lightning, Vixen, and a couple more to berate her for literally enslaving people. That’d be cathartic if handled properly.

And where someone similar in that regard like Lex is solely obsessed with Superman; Waller is obsessed with an entire race of both heroes and villains. She wants to burn them to the ground, only after using them for all they had. In contrast to fighting Darkseid (and almost every other villain) the world needs the heroes, but here (thanks to Waller) the world is literally out to destroy them. Darkseid needs the anti-life equation to achieve that, but Waller does it with strategy, a public persona, and strategic connections.

Hey, I said the same thing about Amanda Waller from the animated series creating her own superheroes with Cadmus to dominate the heroes in JLU. This isn't just 30 years in the making. It's a tribute the classic tv series episode you've mentioned. This storyline to me is exactly similar to Fall of X, Civil War I and II, Secret Wars, Revenge of the Sith, and Devils Reign. Wouldn't you agree?

In three he could have easily have killed her any time that he wanted to regardless of her resources. Plus who's to say that the Brainiac Queen and Fail-Safe are going to even listen to her after the whole thing blows up in her face.
Amanda Waller is the new Amon of the DCU. Others might call her SIster Sage or Emperor Palpatine now that she has combined Batman and Lex Luthor's contingency plans, an army of androids (sentinels/ Nimrod) who can steal and copy superpowers.
Maybe this is something that will happen but what are Wallers assurances that this time guy doesn’t build in some fatal flaw in Failsafe 2.0 and the army that she can’t identify. I mean like she can’t make the robot so how would she be able to understand what’s meant to be there and what’s not. Seems like kind of an oversight on her part perhaps a fatal one

Did waller resurrect the zur en arr personality in the zursaif robot? I mean we don’t see the red speech bubble or the chk chk speek from pre zur possessed failsaif the speech bubble is purple identical to zur en arr speach bubbles
I do believe this is supposed to be the original Failsafe. Which is kinda weird because Waller met Zur but not original Failsafe. I could be wrong, and it could be a speech bubble mistake, however.

No no they beat Zur in the main Batman book before he could make good on giving all those other multiversial Zur's bodies of their own. Waller was able to swoop on in and steal the unfinished Amazo's though
Blood Hunt, so far in my mind, has been a little thin and needlessly stretched over 60 odd tie-ins, but it's certainly not bad. Absolute Power is gonna be shorter. Beyond that, it's a little early to tell. I did like issue 1 a lot more than I thought I might.

They have a throw-away line about how Waller had parts from Chronos and several other time traveling villians laying around. So I'm guessing she had one or more of them build it over time.

I think I saw a tie-in cover. I do believe in the Tom King book Diana has been fighting Waller's new Bureua of Sovereignty via Commander Steele
Waller is working with the Sovereign in WW & also in Beast World where they formally consolidated their partnerships
