So true. I had just camped overnight in the White mountains in New Hampshire and on my way west I passed a little restaurant with a sign that read "if you pass us we both lose". So, I turned around and found the owner was from Austin, Texas. We jaw jacked and I got a good country breakfast. Another nugget in a lifelong adventure.
The east hills of Texas is a great place to ride and find these kind of bars. You might want to go to the ROT rally in Austin, TX next summer. They put on a great rally with lots of characters. Great video.
Thanks for the video guys. Did a one day tour of the Hill Country a couple of years ago by Harley hired from Austin when I was there for a short holiday on a visit from Ireland. Being a Todd Snider fan I visited Luckenbach and The Devils Backbone Tavern. Cool area to ride around especially when you are off the main highways.
You are so right doing what you 2 are doing is the only way to see and meet the real people of this great country we live in the real people that have this country the sad thing is a lot of people just don't see it or know it they won't leave the city and the crazy world they know ride safe👍

Love me a good dive bar and that place looks amazing.. Looks like a great ride too.. So no smoking in the bar but a cat laying on the bar is ok.. Hopefully no fur balls in your drinks

Try out Tobacco Junction in Mc Gregor Texas . They have cigars and a bar . You can smoke in the bar.

We were actually on our way to Luckenbach and got sidetracked... that's when we stumbled upon the Devil's Backbone, for hours 😆
