The Ultimate Guide to Smart TV Backlight repair (Samsung UN40M5300AF)

Does your tv have a black screen but still has a standby light? The issue is your backlight. If just one led goes bad at the back of your tv the tv will not display the image.
To do the repair,
1. Take off the back cover
2. Test the led strip with led tester
3. Take off the ribbon cables to t-con board
4. Take off the front panel.
5. Take off the LCD screen using suction cups
6. Take off the light filters - tape them together first!
7. Take off the white glossy paper
8. Test each led strip with led tester
9. Replace any LEDS that don't work see link below
