I have a similar Samsung sound bar and it’s has sound and is working fine but the display doesn’t come on at all what do you think my issue could be thanks

Appreciate you making the video but What screw? You didnt show anything of what you did!!! I did EXACTLY what you did & went EXACTLY where you went & I see something there but it’s not a screw. On my drive I cant turn that screw or whatever it is. It looks more like a hole in metal. Not a screw. Definitely nothing I can turn. Good try on the video but if your going to make these “How to” videos you need to be more exact on what your doing. I replaced a capacitor on a Bose Wave 1 before that had a similar issue. Maybe I’ll take that route. If you can make another video but point out what your doing exactly. Sorry. Not a great video.

Looks like - if I'm counting right pin number 17 you've taped off counting from the right. but more overly it should be done on the main ribbon cable at the board side not on the Tcon board , Looks like Samsung is getting a bit sloppy in manufacturing ...

If it does happen to be a software issue on yours and you haven't fixed it yet you can try a heat gun to melt the solder on that black chip back down that may fix it, that's how a always fixed the rrod on Xbox 360. Figure it's worth a shot on this as well. I'll try it on mine if I turn out to have a software issue and post updates to let you all know

Have the same model of the tv and tried this. Found out that our troubled pin was the first pin on the right side, but when we covered it with tape, the tv failed to produce any image altogether but didn’t have the original issue of turning on and turning back off again. We were so close, but it looks like we have to buy a new tv. Still appreciate the video though, very thorough and easy to follow!

I know im late bit i think if you would have got a large white piece of poster board and cut out the holes for the leds so it would be a consistent white surface reflecting it would have made the picture a lot better.. this is an awesome idea i just thought of this and im glad to see someone has already tried it.. but also you can make yor own diy light strips for any tv basically this way if yours are hard to come by so either way its still a great idea..

The bottom portion of my screen is dim, pretty sure its the LED strips(I have tried factory reset, hard reset, unplugging, etc.), Could I just replace the 1 or 2 strips, or do I have to replace all strips?

This is a temporary fix. Eventually it will stop working.

I have this same model, and it has the same problem. It has already been cleaned both superficially and much more thoroughly, but the problem persists. It does not read any disk, nor does it access any web application.
