Notion is like the minecraft of productivity tools. What differentiates Notion from other productivity tools is that you would mold it to your daily processes, rather than you mold your processes to the fixated grand-design of the tool. Last time I have something like this is MS Excel, despite of its many problems, it's still the most handy tool when it comes to manipulate simple data.
Totally Agree! It's like a building blocks not just with productivity stuffs but almost anything you want to manage, store, and keep track of. Love Notion and their UI. 🥰

Notion is amazing honestly. I really wish Notion could add the feature to annotate pdfs within the application. So I can work on everything within the application.
Security issues also has to be strengthened. Currently, I see a lot of RUclipsrs making videos on "Why they moved from Notion to obsidian or why Notion is not a good workspace". Most of these videos are heavily dependent on security and privacy issues therefore, Notion has to put in more effort in creating better solutions for this.
Currently planning on transferring to notion. Do you have an idea if they have already fixed this issue?
Even if they are preaching about safety, I am still uncertain if they are still somehow collecting and selling our data like Facebook, Google, Snapchat etc.

I tried notion a year ago and I found it very complex. I think I will try one more time
related to 1:24 can you cross refer to tasks? lets say you have task 1 which consists out of several subtasks and those might be made up of even more subtasks. once you finish all the task is done?
and related to that, is it also possible to list those subtasks from any project as an equally important to do list like when you pick your items you would like to do on a day?
I use notion to organize the shitton fanfictions I write and it's made me literally 4-5 times more productive than before I started using it in terms of words I wrote

This is like the next best “MacOS”. Great for productivity.
We use Notion in office but it's just easily become a complete mess after a while, browsing in task is really inconvenient and difficult to find the stuffs you want to see. Also after a few projects the directory becomes such a long and chaotic mess so hard to see, clicking and opening one by one is just ridiculous and time consuming, it should auto expand to allow the contents to show. I used systems like trello before it's just so much clearer and way more easy to use.
Yeah for a project with several people I can really see Notion becoming a mess lol. But for personal use I think it's perfect

This is definitely *not* how my brain works. Lists, tasks, tabs, columns. I can't think this way. I ended up using The Brain app. It's visual and mindmappy and doesn't segregate like Notion. I get confused in Slack, so I know it's only me. I tried Evernote, that was a nightmare. I think some people just think differently. Watching this video is stressful! :D Guess it's not for me.
Hello. It would be great to have the feature of setting up a database view so that every entry created on it is duplicated in another database. I have a journal database which is my central database where I set up several different views to display information on the areas of my life, my projects, and everything I am doing. Being able to duplicate entries from a certain database view to a secondary database would allow me to continue working on the environment I wish to work in and set up entries so that they were duplicated in another environment focused on another purpose, like sharing information about the certain project with the community.
There might be other ways to achieve the same result. The challenge I experience with the current setup is with sharing the information. Linking my journal database in several places where information is public requires great attention to the sharing settings, as it can give access to my entire journal database. This also makes it so that important links can be lost in public documents.
I will take note of this and other ideas I am sharing in the comments here. Will find a better channel to share them with the team soon.
Totally Notion is great for personal diary too. It's just really flexible.

Would be a great app if they offered any sort of customer service? The only help you get is these youtube videos, would 200% recommend exporting your pages as often as possible if you have important information on there like study notes or schedules. Otherwise you'd be better off writing it all down yourself.

Can you automatically backup all of your Notion files to your personal computer hard drive in one or two clicks?
Major issue í faced is that it’s taking a whole lot of time to set things-up initially which for pEOPLE RUNNING ON A TIGHT SCHEDULE finds hell lot difficult.

Can I use it without creating an account or logging into it? It seems a little stupid to create an account or signing in when you are working offline on one device on your own hard drive.

I want something that will organize my notes form me I tried doing this on analog then digitally and I run into the same problem a heaping pile of messy info.i need something that can work with me and help me optimize things so I can navigate smoothly and know where everything is .and not feel like it was all a waste .

I have tried one note for some personal stuff and it is non intuitive to use. I am hoping this to be simple and fast.

You can use it to create anything you want! So yes! You can make it into a bullet journal if you want! There are many templates online- or you can create one from scratch!

Hey team.. I have been on notion for a few days and I can’t seem to figure out why what I put on my desktop doesn’t transfer to my phone.. if I add something to my to do list on my computer that item doesn’t pop up on my phone. Please advise.

Hey Notion community, everyone wants a page lock system individually. Don't late to bring this feature.
THE ONLY REASON WHY I WILL NOT USE THIS IS BECAUSE THERE IS NO NOTIFICATION SOUND. AND THE NOTIFICATION . I REALLY WANT TO USE THIS APP, BUT IT'S USELESS WITHOUT THE SOUND ALERT. If your phone is set to a notification sound, you will receive a notification from Notion with a sound.
Who is the voice actor for this they sound so familiar. I am sure I've seen a cartoon with them in before or someone who sounds similar and I can't place it. Anyone got any ideas..😊

Hi, form the sidebar go to Settings and members -> on the left side pane under workspace section click on the settings, scroll all the way down then there you find a red button
i think notion is pretty much like discord but without the annoying bots and the constant messaging.
It is more concise and neat.
I think i might try it!
These two apps are nothing alike. One is for general organisation and the other is to chat / join a community. Plus you can remove bots and mute the constant messaging

Stay clear of notion. They scammed me out of $1040. I paid for an annual plan, then one other member joined our team and the extra payment didn't go through. Now they have just cancelled my account and they're telling me I need to take out a full other year to reinstate it again.

Something is missing with Notion. I am a manager in a multi million dollar organisation and work 10 hour plus a day on spreadsheets etc but still find Notion so difficult to use! Surely I can't be the only one? I mean, I am an intelligent person but for some reason Notion seems to be so bafflingly difficult to use?
