- In a pre-recorded deposition, Officer Melissa Saenz testified about the night she received a dispatch call to go to Johnny Depp's apartment after Amber Heard's friend called 911. The dispatcher alerted Saenz that there was a possible domestic violence incident. Saenz recalls arriving at the scene and speaking with Heard on that night.

I love how world-weary this officer is. Obviously, she's seen waaaay worse things than any of this Hollywood stuff.
Right? She probably deals with some horrific cases of dv in her job. Not some pampered spoilt brat crying and telling tales because her husband can’t take anymore of her crap and left. Police deal with lots of people everyday it’s no wonder she can’t remember insignificant stuff like Ambers hair or what the friend looked like. Also the fact that none of them say anything is because they are full of crap.
Well in the real world...most people don't have time for theatrics like this.

She’s trying to discredit the officer for not remembering details of extraneous persons and minute details for a call years ago that they refused to cooperate and saw no evidence of injury or damages. Amber's side has nothing on Johnny Depp so they kept trying to make him look like a drug addict while belittling any and all witnesses who are summoned there against Amber Heard. Like how they kept asking the cop unnecessary questions like what were the people's name or what they look like on that day from a case that happened years ago to make it look like she remember nothing hence her claims about Amber Heard not having injuries are false.
Summoning the cop in this case was honestly unnecessary. If Amber had injuries on her that'd go into their report. There is also a video from their body camera on that day showing there was no damage in the house at all unlike how Amber described it to the public.
One thing for sure, cops KNOW injuries when they see them. If this officer saw no injuries, 99% there weren't any.
You know a lawyer is bad when you can’t tell whose side she’s on. She has EVERY SINGLE witness say over and over that Amber had no injuries.
I feel like her team is doing that on purpose and even some of the witnesses. Saying things like "I've never known Johnny to be am angry drunk" "he never had trouble remembering things or blacking out" "he is the most gentle kind man I know" .... "I gave never seen hin assault amber or anyone" ... these are all things that people supposedly on Amber's side have said....

As a domestic violence survivor, this woman males me sick. She is no more a victim than I can leave my wheelchair and fly to the moon. It is women like her that makes it difficult for real victims to get the help they need.
As someone trained in police crisis intervention in Texas, this is interesting how the officer took no notes in regards to a domestic violence call seeing as these are one of the highest priority calls. She must have seen how false it was. I have dealt with many domestic violence calls and you can normally tell when they are fake or the caller is the aggressor. To me this is what the officer was dealing with and knew pretty quickly.

Yeah they teach that to law enforcement so you give very little away to either side except facts. It's really smart since cops testify very often in court and are supposed to be very stoic and unbiased. It means when they're spitting facts that people believe them more. Very smart indeed.
Officers are trained to not incriminate themselves.
Cops often have to testify and are cross examined so they learn pretty quickly how to handle an attorney. Attorneys hate it when Cops testify!!

My, my, my I have to laugh, this lawyer is trying to get water out of a stone. The more she drags this questioning on, the more she proves that her client is a liar and that nothing happened.
The officer was responding to a call. She assumed there must have been a conflict. So, she left the card to discuss any conflict that might have or would happen. Basically, she proved that nothing was wrong with her testimony. Instead of just calling this a false complaint the prosecutor wants to call the officer a liar? If it was a lie, why had the conflict not even been explained to her?

@@johannaco.5331 it's my understanding that the UK trial did not allow any of the video-recordings or audio recordings, nearly all of which paint a positive light for Depp's case. The UK case was more her word against his, and without all the recordings looked a lot worse.

If he didn't say this was Amber's counsel, I wouldn't have believed it. Yikes. I 100% would have thought this was Johnny's lawyer asking the questions because they kept asking about injuries and the answer kept being "No, she didn't have any. No, I don't believe these are injuries. Yes, I would have been duty bound to report any injuries if I noticed them." It just backed up Johnny's side so much...
Johnny's attorney asked the same set of questions three times, pertaining to three different locations. They were being specific to every detail, making sure that her claims stays consistent than simply summarizing her statements. But yeah, lots of people pointed out that the cross examination with Heard's attorney had pretty much backed Johnny instead.
That lawyer really proved hard those photos didn't reflect injures. Which I thought when I saw them. The officer did a great job.

LOL the attorney trying to imply that a trained police officer can't properly identify injuries... I also particularly love how they seem to be taking guesses about whether something is normal or not in someone's line of work or what it means, only to have the testimony of a qualified witness destroy their speculations on the spot. You'd think they'd double check that beforehand and get something to back it up in case the witness doesn't agree with them. Nope.

I highly doubt most cops are trained to detect fresh impact injuries, however I'm fully on JD's side. I don't believe she was Injured. I just don't believe most cops are trained to spot injury to the level or an actual professional.
On JD side, but police officers spend weeks in an academy. They are not educated or qualified whatsoever as a medical/health care professional. Although way too many think they are.
any human can detect an injury... we all know what blood, cuts, bruises look like. and that includes the first stages on bruising... youve never accidentally bumped into something, looked and said "oh yeah, that's definitely gonna leave a bruise"... we can all tell what a new injury looks like because we all get injuries

Yes when my husband called police on me, the officer seen right thru him and told me so. My husband was trying to get me a record to get custody so he wouldn't have to pay child support and he admitted it to me.

The repetition comes from several different pictures. Each one gets the treatment through the questions... which gets tedious in sequence like this.

It is so unfair for him to relive the trauma caused by Amber specially for the public to hear. Justice will be served and i hope Johnny can get a normal life when all the dust settles. He deserve it ,his family deserved it.

Once amber got wind that they wouldn’t be paying all the settlement directly to her, she flipped out and demanded they pay her directly. So she got all her 7 million directly to her bank account. Not to mention he paid all their taxes for the time they were married so really she got over 14.5 million from him overall in the settlement. The fact that she lied about donating all of it and the ACLU covered for her was absolutely insane. They clearly were trying to take down Johnny and his reputation.

it's frustrating but lawyers have to ask questions that lay a foundation for the next or else their question could be sustained. the more competent the lawyer, usually less questions are required and it can be direct to the point. obvs elaine here is struggling LOL
